Thanks for the recap, Niner.

From today's court session (June 19)....he decided having lawyers would be a good idea:

"The 51-year-old appeared with Hebron defense attorneys Ben and Joe Murray, who were originally appointed as standby counsel for Trail because he wanted to represent himself.

On Tuesday, Trail said he agreed to let them fully defend his case."

Aubrey Trail waives preliminary hearing; Boswell still weighing options

Trail appeared in person today and "waived a further hearing on the evidence" while Boswell appeared via video and "asked the judge to continue the case as she decides whether she wants to have a preliminary hearing.

County Judge Linda Bauer granted the request. Boswell will appear in July."

Aubrey Trail waives preliminary hearing; Boswell still weighing options

Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell were both in Saline County Court on Tuesday morning for their election of preliminary hearing.

Trail made a request to appear in court in person as opposed to on video monitor. Boswell appeared via video monitor.

Trail appeared first, around 11:30 a.m. He was advised of both his rights and the charges facing him, which include first-degree murder and disposal of human skeletal remains.

When asked if he understood the charges and the penalties possible, he replied that he did.

Boswell appeared via video monitor a short time after Trail. She also said she understood her rights, and the charges and penalties that she is facing.

Boswell will be represented by the Nebraska Commission on Public Advocacy, and is being held without bond.

can someone give me a 10% stuff from the article? Like if there is a date for this new development?

TIA!

Aubrey Trail wants to withdraw his guilty plea to a federal fraud charge claiming he wasn't in a coherent state of mind the day he pleaded and his admission was coerced.

The motion seeking to withdraw his plea on the fraud charge was filed Monday by Korey Reiman, his court-appointed attorney. When contacted by the Journal Star, Reiman declined to comment.

U.S. District Judge John Gerrard will consider Trail's request at sentencing in August.

At his sentencing, Trail would face up to 10 years in federal prison, $250,000 in fines and hundreds of thousands of dollars in restitution.

It also talks about the premeditated murder and unlawful disposal charges and that he is to be arraigned later this month.

Then a recap of the fraud charges and plea agreement. Included is quotes of how Trail told the judge he felt up to continuing the plea hearing.

I know Boswell has a hearing on 7/24, wondering if Trail is on same date. it probably doesn't give a date, eh?

And thank you misgrn for that!
