Okay, why are they doing it now. I see two reasons, to show that Casey was a good mother, she would have had to have been to teach Caylee how to do these things. Also, throwing in the counting in Spanish to try and show that there was a substanstial Hispanic influence in her like, aka Invisa-nanny.

I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head.

I am so afraid that Casey will get away with this.. her family are all blind. They actually believe all her lies even when they are thrown in their face. She steals from them, lies and lies. Her mother is so in denial about what she is dealing with and will not admit that Caylee, very probably, is dead at the hands of her daughter. Hero, I want to cry when read that... some hero.

I would not put it past CA to lie on the stand. I don't think GA will since he's a retired LE, but I would bet anything that CA will lie, lie, lie.... I guess she like her Daughter thinks they can say anything and get away with it. Like Mother like Daughter!!

This is my daughter when she had just turned 3, Caylee was almost this old. My daughter could also count above 45 in spanish & english at that time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqA-L3tKtZc

Thanks for posting this and verifying that a child of that age CAN count to 45 in spanish. It's driving me nuts all these people saying it's pretty much impossible. Seems like they are only comparing what their child can or could do at that age and if their child can't or coudn't do it there is noway Caylee possibly could.

I agee..Why now? Why the July 20th date all of the sudden? This feels more like an election campaign than a search for a missing child.

I don't think it's impossible for a 2 year old, but Caylee doesn't seem very verbal in English, let alone Spanish. I think most of the Caylee "facts" are made up, why not that one.

Well, this was posted the 20th of November, 45 days from trial.
Maybe it is another code or clue.

Sorry.

I just can not get over the height/weight thing. I have never seen a 42", 3 yr. old child much less one that was 48" tall.

The Spanish numbers are great! I hope she could do that. But, it doesn't make me think "Nanny", it makes me think "TV is the Babysitter".

To be honest at this point, I think that the Anthonys may want to make everyone so sick and tired of all of the craziness, that people will desert focus on this case, thus making it easier on Casey. Sorry, don't think it will happen.

I'm having a tough time with a lot of the statements about Caylee. I agree, I highly doubt that she could count to 45 in ANY language. I have a daughter who is one month older than Caylee and she makes it to about 15 before she starts having problems remembering and by 25 she's lost it completely.

okay, but that's your daughter, not caylee. we don't know if she could or couldn't. the point is it's possible, because many children can and do, and in fact go beyond that at even younger ages.

this doesn't mean caylee could, because really, who knows if anything any of the anthonys ever say is the truth. poor caylee.

and to whoever said 'caylee was with casey all day', well, sadly...we don't know that. we don't know where either of them were all day, to be honest. i know i wish i knew.

AND ALMOST IDENTICAL TO EVERY OTHER 3 YEAR OLD FEMALE IN 52 STATES.

I can think of about 20 little girls that I know alone which would fit that description. Geeshhhhhhhhhhhh

Ummm, I realize the US does own territory outside the traditional states (Washington DC - though definitely not outside the borders, Guam, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico etc..), there are only 50 United States, not 52.

That's pretty harsh. My child is very smart thank you and considering watching Caylee on tape she was mostly gibber gabbing.

It drives me nuts people can't keep comments to themselves that are uncalled for.

ETA: Just b/c one poster posts a video of her daughter counting to 45 in any language does not verify anything. It only shows that their child can.

I think that the whole "counting to 45 in Spanish" was thrown in there for show...you know, Casey is "mother of the year". I don't think a kid being able to count to 45 in ANY Language is an identifying/vital characteristic, anyway!!!
I'm not saying it's impossible, there are kids who do incredible things. My issue is that, in the videos, Caylee isn't all that clear in her speaking in the first place. Secondly, the perp obviously wasn't engaged and attentive (more worried about boys, Bud Light, and finding someone to take Caylee off her hands), and that's what it takes for your child to excel, especially at such a young age. JMO, of course.

Oooo, thanks for the back up. I was getting irked for a second. lol

This is soo terribly sad! Why cant they just accept the fact that she is gone!!!! ;[

oh my goodness, i hope you weren't interpreting any of my comments as 'your kid is a dummy'. i certainly didn't mean it that way.

and i think the quote you posted is being taken too personally...i think it just meant as fact that some posters really are basically saying (in so many words) 'if my kid can't, no kid can'.

i really don't think anyone is saying any kids are 'dumb' if they can't say spanish numbers, just that some kids can and some kids can't. does that make sense? saying 'maybe another kid can do this even though yours can't do this' isn't meant to be an insult, just a piece of information to counteract something they know to be false.

you should not compare one child with another. Both of my daughters not only recognised the full alphabet and numbers 0-50, but could count to fifty as well. My fourth grader is finishing algebra. Every child is different in their capabilities, and are stronger in some areas/subjects over others. Also, who is to say that Caylee did not know how to count to forty five -like two year olds sing their ABCs?

Okay, I seriously doubt she counts to 45 in Spanish or English for that matter. My daughter is about a month older than Caylee and we have had the same nanny from Mexico since she was born. She speaks fluent and almost perfect grammatically correct Spanish and I tell you this...she can NOT count to 45 or anywhere close.

Your child may not be able to recite numbers 1-45... HOWEVER, your child may be able to do other things that children their age can not. Some children are more proficient in motor skills... some children are gifted with art, music, sports. :)

I think it is pertinent that a three year old caucasian girl can recite the numbers in spanish... and really, that could be helpful. If you think a little girl looks just like her, it can't hurt to ask her if she can count. and then if she says yes... as her if she can count in spanish.

My kid is 30 and can't count to 45 in Spanish! :waitasec:

OK, I take back what I said about it not being important.
HOWEVER, who supposedly taught her this? :waitasec: (it wasn't Dora, I can attest to that)

I'm sure this post is going to open this thread to a huge can of worms, but Caylee was almost 3 and not potty trained. I know there are children out there who are also not trained by this age, but the vast majority are. My son was slow at almost everything, but even he was trained at 2.

I'm certainly not attacking a child and/or the victim. I'm just of the belief that no one really seemed to work with her. I know people live hectic lives these days, but my husband and I truly lived the rat race when my children were young. My daughter trained by a year and a half, and my son 2 years. Of course, it took a lot of patience and a lot of work to accomplish the task. We were wore out from working too much, but we still found the time.

I'm sure I'm going to be ripped a new one, but this is really how I see it.
