It is not right that KC is getting to have hot meals, be with her loving family, sleep in a warm bed, have her toys(computer and such) with her while her beautiful daughter is rotting somewhere. I could not live with myself but, apparently she can. What a monster!!!!!!!

I am wondering the same thing because the Today show has a longer clip of the same statement and it seems he may be saying all of this in reference to another question or just stating it because Jose feels like blowing hot air. But I would like to see the whole unclipped tape containing this statement. Was there a question asked and what was the question?
I don't know what the question was, but his answer doesn't change what he said quite bluntly. He can't claim it was "taken out of context" because he could have phrased it differently if that were the case. His answer stands on its own. It is what it is.

The article doesn't show the date. I think I saw the 27th from someone here. I never heard time of day.
And Muzikman said it well about the median. My mental image was like yours, Seranade. I was thinking small median in the middle of the road and Casey walking out from woods across the highway. Glad he fixed that thought. I've seen the wooded medians also, it just didn't cross my mind. It makes perfect sense. That also explains how news reporters were said to have been able to get as close as 30 yards away from the scene as it was taped off.

I think we really need to pin down the date and time of this sighting. If it was the 27th, then it doesn't make much sense unless it occurred before 7 am. Plus, if I am not mistaken TonE says he picked Casey up from the Amscott around 11 am on the 26th when she ran out of gas, so if the sighting was on the 26th, it would have to have been before TonE picked her up-whatever the time that was.

I don't think this will ever be a DP case.

Defense can simply argue it was a horrible and tragic accident and Casey snapped.
And the DA can prove otherwise: Premeditated, calculated, and can show she was in her "right mind" when she went out to party, sleep with her new bf, etc. The evidence and witnesses won't lie like she has done from the onset. This won't fly in an accident defense.

The other area is closer to Orlando International Airport, where a driver told investigators she saw a car like Casey's white Pontiac Sunfire parked in the median days after Caylee disappeared and she saw someone slight of build wearing a baseball cap and what looked like athletic wear walk out of the woods, someone she believes could have been Casey. It was odd to her because it's not a popular spot for joggers.

This is the kind of eyewitness testimony they need to solve this case. Bravo for the person who called in that tip! No wonder they wanted to search that area with such great urgency.

I commend the tipster, we all know from experience on here that when you take a stand about so many things that have been "off" in this case, Team A comes out swinging against anyone attempting to do the right thing. I hope that if there is anyone else out there that knows anything and is too intimidated by these people to come forward, they will see that their information is taken seriously and it matters.

As far as JB, I am on record from day one to say this case will never see the inside of a courtroom for a trial and I still believe that, but If I am wrong, he is a guppy in a shark tank, imo.

I tried to find the first post about this tip, but I can't. I thought I had read that the person said between June 20th and June 27th. I have also read conflicting statements as to whether the car was in the median or on the side of the road. Sorry, I can't find anything more specific than this. I will keep looking though, and edit this post if I find out exactly what the person said

What is the date of this sighting on the median? Time of day?
LE has not released that information. They had not released the information until yesterday that they had a credible tip of seeing Casey there. They let everyone believe it was only due to the cell tower pings (which must back up the tip to make it even more credible in their eyes).

So what do you think Baez statement meant?

Are you talking about the tip that was on BD? It was the 27th and I'm pretty sure it was the side of the road. It was in the morning, also, I think.

We don't need to pin down the date, all WE need to do is let LE do a proper search. If and when they find Caylee in the woods, the date of the sighting will be insignificant.

I agree.

While I admit a DP case without a body is considerably harder to prosecute; This girl's conciousness of guilt, and the state's forensics will require a homicide charge with the option of lesser includeds if it goes to trial.
Expect to see Dr. Arpad Voss and Dr. Bill Bass, from UT, The BODY FARM as the State's Expert Witness on those results. This would not be the first case that could be a DP case without a body that he has testified in.

Notably, his last case was in Fla, DID NOT recover a body, and was successfully prosecuted; from- you guessed it dna- and decomp physical evidence from soil samples from where the original suspected burial place was found.

Without a confession, or eyewitness, the state will be required to file capital charges, the "not knowing" how she died is not their burden. The rest of the evidence would corroborate premeditation without any evidence of accidental death, they dont have an option.

And neither will Casey at that point, I sincerely hope that JB is advising his Client as to what she is facing and her "odds" as it were, of spending the rest of her life in jail.

I wish someone will let us know if there was anything found in that search.

Seranade,
I thought Tony picked Casey up on the 27th around 11am, same day her car was abandoned at Amscot and seen at 7am. I'm having a real problem understanding this 4 hour skip. She had freezer pops.

If she was seen on this same day (27th) in the median, then I understand her abandoning the car.

I've often questioned if the Amscot employee may have been mistaken about the 7am car sighting date. If not, then who did Casey spend the night with the night before? Was it someone close to Amscot? Did someone drop her off just before Tony picked her up at 11am?

Didn't one of her friends ask if she was jogging that morning? That he had seen someone that looked like KC in jogging gear? Also what is the date she asked to use Jesse's shower around 10am?

snipped

Agree that timing provided by AMSCOT manager could be bad memory or attempt to justify that the 3 days required by AMSCOT for towing was indeed met.

Wow, just wow.

Every time you think it can't get any worse, the A family and JB find a way to take 'the lowest of the low' to a new and deeper level.

And that, folks, is the best summary of this case.

Which would mean it was impossible if the car was at Amscot.

Right.

I wish someone will let us know if there was anything found in that search.

I am fairly certain that the Amscot employee reported that Casey's car was there in the parking lot at 7 am. on the 27th. TonE reportedly picked her up from there at 11am on the 26th.

From reading the NG transcripts from last night, the reporter says the tipster sighted the car as she was "leaving work" sometime between the 20th and 28th. Unless the tipster works the grave yard shift, I would have to assume the sighting took place in the late afternoon, 5 or 6ish.

YES!!! I remember that...but who? I'll go through the docs and search...

KATHI BELICH, WFTV: Well, what we know is the woman was leaving work sometime between June 20th and June 28th near the Orlando airport, and she said she noticed a car that was like Casey`s, she later realized, that belonged -- she thought it belonged to a friend of hers, which is why it caught her attention. When she got closer to it, she saw some markings and some bumper stickers that she knew were not on her friend`s car, so she was relieved her friend wasn`t in trouble.

But as she drove away, she noticed someone slight of build with a baseball cap and some athletic-type wear walking out of the woods, and she thought it was odd because it`s not an area, she said, where anyone would be jogging or anything like that. Of course, that was before Caylee had been reported missing. After Caylee had been reported missing, she saw the car on the news and she saw Casey on the news, and she put two and two together and thought maybe that was Casey. So she told investigators about it, and they have searched that area.

GRACE: Kathi Belich, precisely, to the best you can tell us, where is the area?

BELICH: It is to the south of Orlando International Airport. It`s sort of a secluded road. Once again, not the same secluded road where they have searched in the past that we`ve already reported on. But it is sort of a secluded road. Even during the day when we were there, which is when this woman believed she saw possibly Casey, there was not a lot of traffic on that road.

GRACE: So let me get this straight, Kathi Belich, because the timing of her sighting is very, very important. We all know that as soon as little Caylee was reported missing, the next day, essentially, mom, Casey, went to jail. She was in jail for a period of time. So was the sighting reported after Caylee went missing, but she saw the incident before?

~snip~

LEONARD PADILLA, BOUNTY HUNTER: Well, it`s easy enough, like Brooks said. You can start with the 18th, if you want, and you know that the car was at the house. On the 20th is when she probably was out of gas and her and Tony went and broke into the shed, which is also Friday night. And then you go to the next week, which is the 23rd. The 24th, the car was seen at the house by George. You go to the 25th and the 26th. The morning of the 27th, the car was out of gas, parked in the check cashing lot. So after that, you don`t -- you don`t look for the car.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0810/02/ng.01.html Even LP puts it around the 24th, imo.
