If Abby was abducted there is a possibility she may never be found. If she ran off, I think there is a possibility that she told at least one person. It's not easy to keep a secret, especially if she told a teen friend. JMO
Oh I so hope they had somebody in there checking each one of those units. That has worried me.
Since you were there can you tell us what kind of activity you observed in the maint dept?
Cleaning coming and going? Was any yard work being done? Regular maintenance workers? Also is there an office on the grounds that maint works out of. The whole scoop...TIA

CONCORD, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- New Hampshire police are investigating the reported attempted abduction of a 19-year-old woman in Concord.
Concord police say the incident happened in the backyard of a home near Curtice Avenue at about 5 p.m. Tuesday. The victim told investigators she was sitting on a back deck when a man she did not know walked onto the deck and attacked her. She said the man smashed her face into the deck repeatedly and tried to drag her towards a tree line. The woman was able to fight her attacker off and flee to a neighboring home.
The victim was treated at the scene by the Concord Fire Department.
The suspect is described as a white man, possibly in his 40s, standing about 5'11" tall, with a medium build, and long, dark hair that covered his eyes. He is described as being "very dirty," with a large nose and no facial hair. At the time of the reported attack, he was wearing a dark-colored knit hat, a tan Carhartt-style jacket, and ripped blue jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Concord Regional Crimeline at 603-226-3100. Tips can also be made online at: www.concordregionalcrimeline.com or by texting TIP234 to CRIMES (274637).

Scary hearing about these attempted abductions in NH/ME....... Two words come to mind: concealed carry.
As for Abby, I fully believe if she was abducted against her will somebody would have seen/heard something.
Please let Abby come home today. She is wrapped in the hearts and minds of so very many, I hope where ever she is, she can feel that.
I was thinking the same thing- women need to carry handguns to protect ourselves, but would you even have time to pull it out and point it? Sounds like he snuck up on her. Maybe only a dog would have alerted her. I have a mutt from the pound (lab mix) who would take care of business if need be.
I would worry that mace or a gun or a taser could get turned back on you. (rbbm)
I asked a small town sheriff in N. MI, where there is hardly any crime, if I should carry mace or a taser. He said, "Buy a handgun and learn how to use it." I was shocked.

Alas another false abduction claim. Don't these people see the damage they do by discounting real attempts/abductions? I must say, since this supposedly happened within a few streets of my own home, I am relieved. http://www.unionleader.com/article/20131127/NEWS03/131129358
This really makes me mad. This is really a matter of highly irresponsible behaviour. Why do girls and young women keep making these stories up???
It just doesn't make any sense at all to me....

(I snipped these quotes to the pieces I'm responding to.Looking/hoping Abby is a runaway and not abducted...in AH's case, police said unlikely to have run away bc of time and commitment it would have taken to orchestrate something like that.

What they didn't say is that conclusion was based on interviews with her closest friends, her lack of problems at home and her nonexistent history of wanting to run away.
