Did KM play hockey (requires a big bag)?

After much thought, I, too, am of the mindset that what the "bag" actually was turned out to be the body of Celina.

On the day before her body was retrieved, the F&G people were out at the BackBay, and were given a heads up about a "bag" at the dam. One diver goes and has a look at it. The men were all then pulled from the water and the press says they don't know if they ever went back into the water that day. No one reports seeing a "bag" being retrieved as evidence or removed from the scene.

The next day, in the morning, they go in and search where that "bag" was. It is then that it is identified decisively as Celina's body.

So, I think they had some idea of that is what it was the day prior and somehow knew that they needed a full day to deal with the recovery - the next day it was "discovered" at 10 AM but not fully removed until around 5PM IIRC.

<modsnip> Maybe Celina played hockey. <modsnip>. We don't even know that there was a bag. I haven't read whatever you read about a bag. But bodies usually are placed into a body bag before they are moved. If it turns out that they did find a bag, my guess would be a trash bag. A duffel bag is another possibility.

I need some clarification on family relationships for a second. BH & EH are LCN's mother & sfather? LCN's father was GC and deceased in 2004, correct?

I was commenting on this statement from this posted article and several articles stated that KM had lived with this family.

"On Sunday afternoon, as the Fish and Game dive team was searching Back Pond, one diver was directed to go to the area where Cass' body was ultimately found to check out a bag. For at least an hour after that, no one entered the water and it was not clear whether a dive took place in that area that day."

I think a large sports type bag is not an unreasonable speculation!

Are the services going on right now? Or have they already ended?

I believe the services were to start at 6:30. It's 7:14 pm right now here on the east coast. I would assume the services would be about an hour but I'm only guessing.

GardenLady-that makes it even worse to me for feeling sad for her. She looks sedated, heartbroken, and almost propped up. I feel like she shouldn't even be there-she should be privately grieving somewhere. Of course, it was her choice? She just does not look well to me in the videos/pictures.

I missed this,I saw the sister and grandma........friends, but I missed mom,
anyone know where to look? TIA

“It wasn’t a sad thing doing it,” said Baglio, who helped make the float along with her children. “The kids were all having fun.”

I just do not know how I feel about this when your childhood friend dies.
I lost a childhood friend and no way could I hve worn her clothes or had fun.
I still mourn her 50 years later..........it's just me.........

Baglio reported her missing the next morning after learning the family could not find her.

Why dd she report her missing and not the family?

We have been asking about this, as soon as we heard it.
Makes no sense, mom comes home from work, sister checking the neighborhood, SF checking with his friends on FB, guess she was the only one to do it.

No, it's not JUST you.

Good analysis, Elmomom! Your reasoning makes a lot of sense. Thanks.

Not sure how these things work, so please excuse dumb questions...

Wouldn't there be concerns about leaving it overnight that could make it worthwhile to go to the trouble and expense of a night dive? Eg., evidence being degraded, lost, and/or tampered with? Although I really dunno about the logistics of diving near dusk or at night.

I agree, and I really had trouble with that. But it took so long to actually remove her from the water they day they did it, so I am not sure what was taking so long. Remember the talk of a Black Hawk? We never resolved why that was called for. Maybe it was not available and they did need it? And then I thought, maybe underwater photos? Can they take those in the dark with just lights? Maybe they wanted to wait while the water level dropped more? Lots of ideas... but no answers.

I do remember that they specifically went to that location to search. Someone said something that tipped them off. IMHO

If they found it a day earlier, they certainly would have kept the spot under surveillance.
