Barth to Kat about the relationship after Seth was arrested: Seth has been physically out of your life for months…’ I visited him… didn’t touch him’… you did it willingly… in order to keep contact you would have to email..’ I set up the account and sent him emails every night’… you would make the decision…you would call him ‘he would call me and then I would call him back’ but you chose to answer….’ I wanted to talk to him’

Kat about Barth's questions about their ages: 'There’s an eleven year difference, I would tell people in school that he was younger, or outside I would say I was older'… in fact you tell him it makes me worried… age doesn’t matter . Are you telling this jury… that age doesn’t matter?…' I’m not trying to make them think anything I’m trying to tell them what happened so they can make their own decision.'

Once the break was announced... Barth walked briskly out of the courtroom... his face set in a stern expression... then turned around and walked back in. Kat is sitting in the witness stand during the break, her personal attorney came up and spoke to her for awhile, now the victim-witness advocate who sits with Lizzi's family is chatting with her...

Hmm...interesting.

I sure hope he moves on soon.

'Now the victim-witness advocate who sits with Lizzi'z family is chatting with her...'

chatting with kat?

kinda surprised me! I lost track of what the bench conference was about---my mind keeps wandering....:scared:

On another note.....I am going to Portsmouth this weekend.
Will be thinking of Lizzi.

I do get where Kat is coming from with her age. Big age difference between teen and twenties--and teenage girls looking for romance! I can also see where time away from him would make a difference. that said I still think she is guilty and got sweetheart deal

I dreamt of moving out the minute I moved 18!

About Seth being controlling - Kat: when I was with Seth he didn’t want me talking to my family he made it clear that even talking to my mom in passing wasn’t good… he told me I had to cut things off entirely...(Attorney Barth points out that she had told people, including the Grand Jury, that she intended to move out when she was 18... whether she met Seth or not.)

Isn’t it true at this point that you hated your Dad ‘hate is a strong word but I didn’t get along with my father’ … I’d like to kill him words you said about your dad…’ I did say that’

I did want to move out but it was Seth who really pushed it…even as early as October.. he said I should run away that night and move in… I told him not yet, I would wait until I graduated in the spring.

That defense attorney brought his coffee up to the Judge's podium?? Like he is gong to be there all day. Like a dog marking his territory...

I don't like that man.

somehow that doesn't surprise me I don't like him either--:fence:

Yet another bench discussion... one juror is looking at her nails, another has her head back and her eyes appear to be closed.. two men are rocking in their chairs... a few are looking down, likely at the notebooks the court has provided. One man is definitely reading his notebook.

There Barth goes bringing his coffee cup with him to interrogate the witness. IMO he is marking his territory.
