@TimCalWMUR

Update on the arrest warrant for Nicole Giles: She is now in the courtroom and will testify. The state has asked the pool camera for the trial to not show her due to safety issues. Giles is visibly upset and crying while speaking with the judge.

The judge has ordered everyone out of the courtroom, media included. She has at the pool camera for the trial to cut all video and audio while they sort this out.

The judge has made an official order to not show the witness on camera during her testimony. The court pool camera can use audio only.

Giles lived in the family shelter where the Montgomerys were also living. She says Adam and Kayla lived there with their two sons. Also said she visited Adam at Portland Pie Co. where he worked.

Giles says she often saw Kayla Montgomery with bruises on her face, abdomen, arms and legs. Some bruises were small like fingerprints. Others were the size of a fist.

Giles says she visited A&K at their Union St. apt. She says the place was torn apart. She says the lights were hanging off of the ceiling. She says Adam was worried someone was spying on him. Also told the jury he was worried about the city bus that drove by his apt. often.

Giles says Kayla first told her that the bruises were caused by her falling or her children hitting her, throwing toys. She says it wasn't until they were alone when Kayla said Adam hit her and she needed to leave him, but she was afraid.

On cross-examination, defense brings up a June '22 interview w/Manchester Police. Giles says she knew Adam was already arrested at the time for 2nd degree assault. Recalls interview was about Harmony.

Defense notes during the interview, Giles did not state that she observed bruises on Kayla. Defense also notes she never told police that Kayla confided in her about domestic violence.

On redirect, state asks Giles why she did not talk about the domestic violence in that June '22 interview with police but did bring it up later. She says flashbacks and memories.

Giles is excused. She leaves the courtroom with arms crossed, visibily upset. Judge orders no video or pictures of Giles as she leaves.

Michael Dobe works for the Manchester Walmart. He is speaking about a request from police for security footage at an Eco-ATM in the store. PD wanted footage of recording from Dec. 30/31, 2021. The request was made in 2022.

1708113594638.png

Dobe describes an Eco ATM as an electronic pawn shop.

Security video appears to show Adam, Kayla and another woman enter the Walmart. The three use the Eco-ATM before Adam and the other woman walk around the store. This was taken on 12/30/21. Manchester PD announced #HarmonyMontgomery was missing the next day.

It's visibly noticeable that Adam is following the other woman extremely closely as she moves around the store. He moves with every minor step she takes. Kayla remains at the Eco ATM.

A brief cross-examination by the defense of Dobe. Adam's attys. ask to clarify how the Eco-ATM works. Dobe is excused. We are now in lunch for an hour.

Right now: Manchester Police Det. Adam Bergeron-Rosa is testifying about processing pipes that were taken from the Montgomery family's Union Street apartment.

1708113700025.png

Here's a look at those pipes. Bergeron-Rosa says there was a forensic anthropologist who was there as the pipes were processed. He says she was needed in the event that investigators found human remains. She would be able to ID if remains were human or not.

Bergeron-Rosa also confirms that the three people seen in the Walmart surveillance video on 12/30/31 are Adam and Kayla Montgomery and a woman named Kelsey Small.

1708113810308.png

Bergeron-Rosa says Kelsey Small made the transaction at the Eco-ATM that day. The atm paid $1.00 for a Samsung phone. Kelsey Small passed away in March of 2022. She did *not face charges connected to this case.

No questioning from the defense for Bergeron-Rosa. He is excused as a witness.

@TimCalWMUR

We're now hearing from Manchester Police Det. Louis Krawczyk. He works in the Cyber Crimes Unit. He extracted info from the Samsung cell phone that was pawned at the Eco-ATM.
1708114049395.png

Prosecutors are linking the phone to Adam Montgomery by showing the jury that his Facebook account was logged into that account. Showed messaged b/t Adam and Beach. Defense says the evidence does not show the messages were actually written on that phone.

We're now hearing from Manchester Police Detective Craig Stanzel. He is discussing when he found Adam Montgomery sleeping in a car on 12/31/2021. The day police announced Harmony's disappearance. Just is now being shown Stanzel's body cam footage.

1708114072204.png1708114084946.png

Important to note: Only the body cam video is allowed. Judge previously ruled that the jury could not hear the audio from the body camera. Defense questions Stanzel about the location where he was found. He says it's a park where homeless people sleep.

For reference: you can view the bodycam footage below with audio. @WMUR9 Investigates obtained the video back in October of '22.

Judge is ending for today. She says the trial is moving faster than expected. She thinks the evidence will be in by the end of next week and we can possibly hear closing arguments by then as well.

Monday is a holiday. Jury will return at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

I assume AM/KM had recently received a tax refund as the bank info. shown was for 2/2020.

As for the hydrated lime vs. the garden lime the hydrated lime is used in building construction to mix mortar and stucco.
right, but the purposes AM was hoping for aren't provided by garden lime.

What additional evidence are they expecting, does anyone know?

What was the purpose of the Walmart video to show an excruciatingly long process where they turned in a phone for money?

What was the purpose of showing the body cam footage sans audio?

FEB 16, 2024
  • Travis Beach testified that he helped rent the truck, not knowing why AM wanted it.
  • He did recall a conversation with the defendant.
  • “He was pacing back and forth. He said he F'ed up. And I asked him what he meant and all he could say and repeat was he F'ed up,” Beach said.
  • The prosecution also spent time detailing a history of violent behavior.
  • Tarah Hilbert helped KM and her children relocate to a hotel in Hooksett.
  • “Cause Adam had beat her pretty bad,” an emotional Hilbert said.
  • Another resident of a family shelter where the family lived in 2019 said that Kayla Montgomery told her Montgomery would hit her, causing bruises.
  • “Some were small like handprints, others were like fists,” Nicole Giles said.
  • The jury was shown body-cam footage of Montgomery’s arrest.
Nicole Giles was originally supposed to testify on Wednesday but never appeared, and an arrest warrant was issued. In court on Friday, she said that she had a restraining order against someone and expressed concern that the cameras in the courtroom would put her and her children in danger.

I don't. However I thought the big thing they discussed is a possible new witness that isn't on the list.

Someone watched a bit of the trial and then called an anonymous tip in...but was then interviewed. This interview was taped, documented, and sent to the State, who then gave it to Defense. The State claims they haven't watched the video but looked at the document and also claims they have made no other contact with this person (a woman I think). The Defense wants this possible new witness to be cautioned about not watching any more of the trial. Nobody had an issue with this so the State is going to try and contact the woman this weekend.

However based on the way they were acting I don't think they were seriously considering using her as a witness anyway.

Defense is trying to make this guy slip up.
Anthony B never saw Harmony in the car...when the family came to stay in the Audi. By that time, they had already put her in the duffel bag. Her body was already hidden either in the trunk, or in a snow bank nearby.
I'm confused about this timeline. I think the "Montgomery family" stayed in Bodero's car the weekend after Thanksgiving, 2019. In 2019, Thanksgiving day was on November 28. Bodero says he allowed them two days in his car, and it was the weekend, so assume November 30 and December 1, 2019. Police say Harmony was murdered December *7th* 2019. How was Harmony NOT with Adam and Kayla during the time in Bodero's car "the weekend after Thanksgiving". Kayla's mother testified she saw Harmony the day after Thanksgiving. Do the police have the wrong date of Harmony's death or is Bodero desperately trying to distance himself from even seeing Harmony, and why? I've had some serious neuro issues lately so maybe my brain is scrambled or I'm missing something?

What kinda guy is okay with two drug addicts and children living in a car?
Adam an Kayla were so bad on drugs they were all eating baby food ,living in a car. Like everyone saw this coming and they looked away and let it. No words .
There is a system in place - Child "Protective" Services, that should have alerted many times regarding Harmony's safety. Perhaps we could hold the judges, lawyers social workers, clinicians and police accountable? But leaving the safety of our kids in the hands of the Anthony Boderos of the world?

Since Anthony Bodero claimed he didn't see her when they were staying inside his car around Thanksgiving, where was she then? That makes me feel that she had already passed by that holiday timeframe.
Yes. This. Either Bodero has the date mixed up, and/or is lying about seeing Harmony or police have the wrong date of death/murder.

Bingo.
:(
Omo.
Kayla's mother testified she saw Harmony the day after Thanksgiving 2019, or November 29, 2019. IF Bodero is correct and the Montgomery family stayed in his Audi the weekend after Thanksgiving, then Harmony must have died November 29, 2019 after being seen (eating post Tday dinner?) at Kayla's mother's house.

I would take all of the dates these folks provide with a large grain of salt. Either they don't remember, or they really don't want to remember.

It is tragic, this is a story of drugs, domestic violence, homelessness, and the failure of our system to protect children.

It sounded to me like around the end of her life, they were keeping her under the blanket pretty consistently so that people wouldn't see how badly bruised she was.

The drug dealer seemed to be presenting himself as a family man, or a person with street values. Maybe AM and KM worked hard to keep the drug dealer from seeing her.

Maybe I missed something, but I feel like he said he gave them Thanksgiving leftovers and didn't see the car HM died in, but he was not saying the Thanksgiving leftovers were given WHILE they were living in his car. Maybe that incident happened before they were in his car.

FEB 19, 2024
No proceedings in the Adam Montgomery murder trial will occur Monday because it's Presidents' Day.

Testimony instead will resume at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

[...]

Before jurors were dismissed for the day Friday, Judge Amy Messer told them the trial is moving a bit faster than anticipated, and that it was possible all testimony would conclude later this week.

Out on a limb here=====. I don't believe KM at all after watching her testimony again and again. I think she is absolutely faking the sorrow. She could have helped. She should have helped. I believe she was as neglectful as the beater dad. Maybe I'm just sick of thinking about this horrible treatment for the little girl.

Agreed a lot with @Lulu'smom postings above.

I too question the dates and I've just not been comfortable with the Dec. 7th date of death. moo, she didn't see any time in the month of December. Though, does it really matter? idk. What matters now, is justice for Harmony. Harmony is what matters. She always has mattered, but most everyone in her life was too selfish to notice. Children should be the center of the universe... in their minds, they are. Treat them that way.

I'd also like to say how CPS horribly failed protecting Harmony. Never bothered to safe guard or protect her, and simply gave her bio dad custody. The beginning of the end. Unless changes in the system are made, these horrible abusive case, and yes, murder will continue. Justice is limited if there are no changes? idk

my thoughts.

I don't believe KM's version of when and what happened to Harmony. I don't find her credible at all. It's possible some on the jury will question her honesty about the events she claims happened, at least I hope so. Too many changes in her various stories(lies) and her demeanor appears phony and manipulative. IMO she is a very shady character as are most drug addicts.

Bbm Agree, she may very well have been hidden under the blanket (and most likely was most of the time imo) so that AB couldn't see her. Doesn't mean she was already dead, or that AB lied or LE has dates wrong jmo. They knew if she was seen they would be in huge trouble. Jmo.

So Adam says Harmony "didn't do anything" but then said he bashed her because she was strangling the baby brother or something? Ok then.

Not to be mean, but Uncle Kevin doesn't appear to be the brightest star in the night sky. That is certainly affecting this testimony.
Uncle Kevin may have a ciminial past but also has a traumatic brain injury due to attempting suicide by jumping off the Tobin Bridge in 2008 I believe. Have one myself due to trauma, definitely been called slow.

Lawyers for Adam Montgomery, the New Hampshire man accused of killing his 5-year-old daughter, Harmony, reportedly want his estranged wife’s testimony blocked from jury deliberations in his murder trial.

The defense’s request came over Presidents Day weekend when the court was closed Monday, according to the Union Leader. They argue that prosecutors acted improperly when it came to interactions with Kayla Montgomery and her legal team.
