I sent a pm to Jeana - I believe she is the moderator for the Madeleine thread. I asked for her help in merging this thread with the abandoned toddler thread.

Hopefully, when she has a minute, she will give us a hand. It appears that we have a few different posters in each group and it would be nice for us to be all together so we can see all the different thoughts.....

I think we need to keep an eye out now for any information on what clues the car may hold.

Ezra - you live in the area, correct? Can you get me a phone number for the local paper? If we don't hear something in a day or so, I will call and ask for an update.

I would be calling all of your newspapers, tv stations, and writing letters to national news organizations to get some stories out on this woman. It sounds like she needs the media support to push them forward and find her.
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? I'm fairly new at this and admit I'm a little intimidated by the thought of calling major news outlets. I don't mind calling the local paper...... but then I get a little chicken (who knows why), maybe cuz I just don't feel that confident yet.

This story would seem to have all the "elements" to make it newsworthy.... sex, betrayal, abandoned child, and enough questions that the papers could speculate for days.......

If you are uncomfortable calling them...then we can come up with one formatted letter and you can just change who it is going to. Not a problem then! I will work on that for you as soon as I get a chance, if you like. : )

That would be great SS! I'll work on getting some addresses/emails!

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - June 28, 2007 - Potential organized crime links are among the areas authorities are investigating in the case of a missing Hightstown woman whose 11-month-old son turned up alone in a hospital parking lot in Delaware.
It's one of the many aspects of this case that we're investigating," Mercer County Assistant Prosecutor Angelo Onofri told The Times of Trenton for Thursday newspapers.

......ok so here I was thinking I was watching too many made for tv movies.. it looks like the police are also investigating these aspects as well . Has anyone specifically heard what the father did for a job? The home in Jersey looks like one that would cost a significant amount to purschase and maintain.. especially in that area. If he didnt get the money from his job.. where did her get the money from to maintain the lifestyle for both families? There were at least 3 cars ( 2 at the house plus the one found abandonded) as well as the mortgage, rental fees, utilities for both the home and apt, down payment for both, food, clothing, physycian bills for the little boy.. he was likely not the health care policy.. etc..

Authorities trying to solve the disappearance of Hightstown mom Amy Giordano are looking into a possible organized crime connection as investigators turned their attention yesterday to her married boyfriend's car and his Millstone Township house, officials said.

Giordano, 27, has been missing for almost three weeks and authorities are referring to her boyfriend, Rosario "Roy" Digirolamo, 32, as a person of interest in the disappearance.

.....................MUCH more at link............................

Whoa! Yesterday I thought I'd watched too much Sopranos when I looked at the house this guy lived in. But hey, who knows what EXTRAS he was doing on the $ide.

There's no way he could have afforded that house, cars, and two families on whatever he was making at that ONE company.

Somethings going on here, IMHO.

Yup I suspect that is reason for the additional searches that the LE conducted in Amy's apt.. where they seized pay stubs etc.. they and the FBI are probably lookign for a money trial at this point among other evidence of a crime when it comes to Amy's whereabouts.

Yes and his his home so i think they conducted searches in each local now.. some have been several times ( apt). I am trying to figure out what the connection with Milan is.. the boss of the De Cavelcante family is orginally from Ribera, Sicily... Milan is north near the mountains..

Has anybody located a myspace link for either Amy or DRosario “Roy” Digirolamo? I cant seem to find one on either of them..

I don't mind helping, I live in Philadelphia, but I think whatever we do here we need to be careful. I backed off for a while after I saw his house (see my post a while back) I knew instantly this had mob ties and that is why it has not been front page since it happened. Just be very careful what information you put out there about yourself and where you are.

Also my opinion here but with what's involved, I doubt they will ever find her. With what's involved this isn't just your typical missing person case. These people are very dangerous and anyone getting too close with information will easily be wiped out. I want her found and reunited with her son that is why I started this thread but the mob is not a friendly bunch and it didn't take too much of a leap after seeing his house to know they were involved. I just don't want anyone to get hurt so please be careful what information you post here. If you want to know anything from me that you can't write here feel free to PM me.

Ezra, I too started the other thread on this case for the same reasons.. I would agree that the sad fact is that this will not end in the happy ending we all would hope for especially since there is a child involved. I dont think there will be much luck in locating her either based on the latest developments. Very very sad to think of this little guy not growing up with his Mom but it may be for the best that he was "abandoned" as he was.. hopefully he is adopted into a loving family who adores him. Thanks for the warning as well.. duly noted.
