Got her pic, & man she looks angry! She plead not guilty today.

I don't know how to post her pic here, only the link, so if anyone can, please do!

Man looking at the condition she left him in hurts me more & more every time I see it.

On her Facebook page, 28-year-old Kisha Curtis claims to be a former student at Duke University and one-time manager Klimaxxpromos, a *advertiser censored* operator. She can now add dog abuser to her resume.

When I first looked at the picture of Patrick, I thought that couldn't possibly be a pit bull. Then I looked at my pit and tried to picture what he would look like if he was just skin over bones. and I realized that Patrick is exactly what a starved half to death pit would look like.

I cannot believe how cruel people can be. If that dog was tied to a stairway railing, and others could see him, hear him and watch him starving to death, then SHAME ON EVERYONE. WHY did no one help this little guy before it got so damn bad?

Prayers for this puppy's recovery. May God grant him a loving family.

They should lock that woman up and throw away the key and, oh, forget to feed her too! That poor dog, how it must have suffered. I have 2 beautiful rescue pit bulls that came to me as tiny puppies and if anyone were to ever hurt them, that person had better be running for his/her life. Those dogs are my babies and are given the best of everything. One of them works as a therapy dog in an assisted living center cheering up the elderly residents. My dogs go to play groups to play with other dogs and they sleep on my bed at night. They are family members. I don't see how some people can put so little value on their dogs and can be indifferent to their suffering.

Can you guys extend those good wishes and prayers to sweet caroline as well.. another starved abused pitt who hasn't gotten as much attention as patrick :( :(

they found Caroline – so thin and weak that she could barely move.

Caroline wasn’t alone.

She had a canine companion – but he did not survive. He was discovered with his head lying in an empty food dish – he died trying to find sustenance where there was none.

I thought the exact same thing!!! How in the h*ll did these neighbors walk past this dog for a month & a 1/2 tied up, & no one did anything!?

He really must have looked like he needed help after about a week of that cr*p, & seriously it still got to this point!?

I'm just glad that people have taken notice because this thing happens more often then we'd like to think, & at least he's alive!

Per the links in SugarQueen's post, honestly I don't think that I have ever been more happy to see a dog poop!!!!

Hopefully his body is recovering.

OMG!!!! OMG!!!! WTH!? WTH!? BLESS HER HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY LOOK THE SAME!!!!

Caroline was discovered in abandoned apartment just days after Patrick was found in the trash chute.

Caroline’s story has not swept across the world like Patrick’s story, but hers is painful and worthy none-the-less.

When authorities investigated a potential abuse case at an apartment complex, they found Caroline – so thin and weak that she could barely move.

Alright, I'm sorry, the laws need to change, NOW!

You do this to anyone, any animal, anything, then it's back to an eye for an eye for you, & that's what these abusers get, exactly what they provided.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!! SO SICK OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My children were raised with feed your animal before yourself. I can't believe the abuse of these animals-I don't think 2 years jail is enough. It should be ten years or more. There are always shelters one can take an animal too..

I don't know why I continue to torture myself with these stories - it hurts so badly to know there is such cruelty in the world.

Poor Patrick did not get in that shape in one week - he is the victim of long term abuse and I wish we could do the same to his former owner. None of those neighbors who saw and heard him tied up for a week could do the right thing for him and call AC? Really?

Here's the perp and the recovering victim:

Patrick - Kisha Curtis

I have a Pit - I can't stand to think of him being abused like that and I always feed him before myself - it's not like he can help himself to a meal -

When he wants a snack he will find me and yap at me until I follow him to the pantry where he will wait, expecting his favorite treats. Who could say no to that?

I shouldn't read these stories...I am so very upset...that BITC* I hope she rots

That is really disgusting. If you've ever watched abuse stories on Animal Planet, they have a hard time prosecuting if the person won't admit that they own the animal. However this case must be different, since she did go to jail.

Little Patrick--it just breaks my heart to see him looking so sweet in his little sweater, and the look in his eyes! I hope he is putting on weight. His haunches still look so thin.

Here's a recent article about Patrick that shows him looking stronger and more alert, standing on his own. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/unleashed/2011/04/patrick-pit-bull-garbage-chute.html

This article mentions a "foreign body" that was in his intestines..the article's a bit older so maybe this issue has been resolved. He was too weak to have surgery. What a good dog! He wouldn't urinate in his cage so workers had to take him outside and hold him upright while he did his business!
