The body was found at about 10 p.m. Monday, according to a statement released by Bernie Weisenfeld,

SO the fb exchange was monday afternoon around 4pm, at this point the cops had already paid the brothers a visit based on what the message said.
She was found monday night around 10pm per this article.
Was this the posting the mom found? ? If so I wonder when she contacted the cops.
The video that fox news had was the brothers strolling into the prosecutor on tuesday, in the day light.

I believe the prosecutor on Tuesday was actually in Woodbury. So IMO they were detained in Clayton till they were formerly charged and booked....then transferred to Woodbury...then to Camden County for juvenile detention.

First post also...

I think that LE did a great job finding her in time before the recycling bin was picked up that morning. So many cases never get solved.

RIP Autumn

Welcome!

this is true
I know, what kid wouldnt tell their parents or police that someone robbed their bike.:banghead:

A poster a few days ago mentioned this aspect that her son/daugther had a similar situation where the whole neighborhood was terrifed of a boy who kept stealing their bikes but none would finger him for it. The poster finally put up a 100 dollar reward for information and someone turned. People didn't get the whole story or extent of it until the bully moved out of the neighborhood.

So essentially, they could have been bullies or threated her if she ratted.

I didn't think she found on their property. I thought it was on the property of the abandoned house. Wouldn't think they would need a search warrant for that.

Also, how were they able to turn themselves in the following morning? Why weren't they arrested or at least held or something?

Didn't the Dog get the scent but they needed a warrant to enter the property?

yes in woodbury at the glouc county court house
I wonder what time they got arrested, how soon after she was found...

That was me.

maybe LE didnt know it was them at this time still. The way they are saying the mom turned them in im thinking this is so. Maybe the mom saw the fb posting shortly before or after her body was found and put 2 and 2 together. If she was home by then she would have seen the flurry of activity right outside her home.

eta in the fox news video they were in plain clothes and in cuffs, and escorted by cops. Im guessing mom just drove them to the clayton PD earlyyyy tuesday morning and they transferred them over to the prosecutor/jail

:waitasec:

That was me.

But the thief was stealing them from sheds, backyards, etc...he wasn't knocking kids off bikes to steal them or luring them. But neighborhood kids would see him riding their bikes he has stolen and he would threaten, bully, shove around the little kids to prevent them from telling.

Something isn't right with the whole mom turning them in story. Imo

A bully is a bully though. Same as hey give me your lunch money or i'll pop you. Most didn't rat on the bully. Plus this bully had a bigger brother almost 3 years older.

It's not a theory that is so out their IMO.

Ok, it is late and my brain is working slower than usual but let me see if I can try to understand this.

Perhaps mom did not tip off the police to Autumn's body but, after Autumn was found, saw that post on FB and became suspicious of her children. She called the police and the police got the search warrant and found all the evidence. The boys then turned themselves in.

I think that is what this article is saying.

Investigators said a key break in the case came when the mother notified police after seeing a suspicious posting on the Facebook account of one of her sons. Several students said Tuesday the message included only one word: Autumn. The message was allegedly sent to the victim's brother.

I though they didnt get the bike out of the house until tues afternoon after they were in custody already. So i think mom saw it, took them into the station, and they were prob being held questioned while search warrant was being processed then they were charged . MOO

While the search for Autumn intensified on Sunday, J****** had a Facebook exchange with Autumn's brother, AJP

In a message to AJP from J*****, only one word - "autumn" - appeared.

"What bout her," AJP asks.

Someone else then interjects: "why post her name then nothing else?"

"Right" AJP adds.

J****'s response was enigmatic: "it was an accident the cop waz here & my brother did it," he wrote, according to a screen grab of the exchange.

I asked my 18yo son to read their exchange from the original fb screenshot without telling him what/who it was referring to. He said in his opinion, J was saying his brother posted the word "autumn" accidentally without having time to finish his sentence because a cop showed up.

After I told him who he was referring to, he said maybe bro was going to post something along the lines of "Autumn is missing/being searched for" to throw LE off but hit enter before he was finished posting due to the cop showing up.

He definitely got the impression that J is NOT referring to the crime with the "my brother did it" line but merely the accidental posting of her name and was trying to cover up his guilt by playing it cool.

All his opinion of course. I was just curious what he got from their fb exchange.

I hope the media gets ahold of the 911 call mom made so we can get a time.

Her ex husband said, LE told him, mom brought the keys up to the police station @ 2am (not sure of the date)

I wouldn't put a whole lot of stock into what their father has to say;) imo

Ya I'm just not sure i see this kid confessing on fb before she was even found. I think they banked on getting away with it. If the older brother didnt hVe a fb and was using the younger brothers to snoop around maybe he did accidentally type her name and the younger was too stupid to know how really bad his response looked. Yippee for that

I can see how the FB post could be interpreted 2 different ways.

It's possible he was trying to cover the accidental posting, or it could mean ' my brother did it'. Either way is not a confession.

NY Times article

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/25/nyregion/in-murder-of-autumn-pasquale-online-echoes.html?_r=0

Snipped:

“I’m very shocked,” said Isaiah Resto, 18, who had employed JR in his local landscaping business but fired him on his first day because he was lazy. “I don’t know what made them do it.”

Not long after Mr. Resto spoke, a car passed the Robinson home, near where he was standing. Someone shouted, “Burn that house down!”

It's starting & has to be stifled. Media, please be more responsible & conscientious when reporting, try not to fuel the fire please.

Zero - am I reading this wrong in the article?

You're reading it correctly. There's screen grabs all over the www. It's the most perfect example of a Freudian Slip that I've ever seen. In context, JR posted "Autumn" to her bro's FB page. AP & another friend respond to the one word post by asking "why just post that one word", and JR responds that "it was an accident" "cop was here" "my brother did it". IOW, he was explaining why the one word post & that his brother is the one that typed it. BUT... Knowing Autumn was dead, it was a Freudian Slip bc he spelled it all out & even informed a cop had been to their house. In hindsight, I suspect the cop was at their house bc somebody reported a stolen bike, so they were following up on that on Sun plus searching for Autumn...bc le didn't get the call about Autumn being missing until 9:30 pm. but they also had a report of some kind involving bike stuff. I know I read that. Remember, JR was at the football game so there is a chance there's some truth to him not ultimately being responsible for her death but maybe rather for helping to cover it up, maybe to help protect his brother? If not, then he's even more diabolical than some people already think. Maybe he was charged be he's the one that lured Autumn to the home, then left for the game, then came back & she was dead... Just a thought.

Do we know what time the game was?
