Dulce was last seen playing on the swings with her younger brother at the Bridgeton City Park.

Volunteers are continuing to search around Bridgeton for Dulce.

“It’s very emotional, tons of different stories, but I’m not here for any of that, none of us are, we’re just here to try to find her, the little girl. I don’t care where she’s at, we just want to make sure she’s OK,” Kristen Dill said.

If you have any information, please call police at 856-451-0033 or text anonymously to TIP411.

Late Tuesday evening, New Jersey State Police issued an Amber Alert, saying she’s been abducted. Police say detectives developed new information by doing a second round of interviews with people in the park around the time of Dulce’s disappearance.

They now believe a man in a minivan took the little girl. They don’t know if he’s familiar to her or a complete stranger.

Volunteers are continuing to search around Bridgeton for Dulce.

If she was abducted, she would have to have been taken east through the trees toward the Cohansey River and there are only ways over that river. One looks to be a pedestrian bridge and the other is a road. It seems to me that narrows the starting point for a search to those two places in terms of looking for surveillance cameras.
If she was not taken that direction, then she would have been in the wide open fields around the parking lot and the basket ball courts. People interviewed there said they saw no indication of an abduction.

I’ve been saying this since first reports of the 3yr old pointing and/or saying that his sister went behind the buildings...that area is very secluded. There are a couple buildings and caged storage areas where a person could park an no one would notice...it has a direct view and access to the playground area. To me, this explains why no one has a make and model of a van but can tell us the guy has acne. A witness may have seen him, but not a closeup of the van. Once in the van, you can drive out of the park without going out where the mom was parked.

Plus, that time of day, the park is busy...ball fields filled with team practices, basketball court is loaded...kids and parents on the playground.

I’m not sure I believe it was stranger abduction or a familiar situation, but I believe a kidnapping could very well occur here and no one would notice

Could the 2 kids even get on swings by themselves, while holding ice cream? Ug, I just don't know what to think about this whole story. All I know is something ain't good lol

Dulce probably. May be tricky with the 3 year old. I thought Dulces shoes weren't what I would've chosen for a planned park date.

IMO the odds of the abductor knowing Dulce (or her family) are around 60/40, based on the current information.

Some questions: How would the person know Dulce was going to be at the park? Why her and not her brother? If it is a stranger was he hanging around the park hoping to find a victim?

I actually hope it was someone known to the family since in many, if not most stranger abductions the child is dead within the first few hours. If it's someone known there may be a reason beyond what we're all afraid of and there may be a chance for her to be safely returned. MOO.

And what's with all the red and black? Red van, orange shoes, red pants, black shirt. Is there some significance or just a coincidence? I'm only speculating/wondering it probably means nothing. MOO.

I know we have all seen too many cases where mothers make up these abduction stories to cover for something horrible they did or their boyfriend did, or both of them did, to the child. I get that police need to make sure the parents aren't the ones who did it throughout the investigation process. It is one of the first thoughts that crosses my mind at the beginning of every single missing child case now. Even when I saw the mom on an interview on t.v and she seemed so calm and soft-spoken I thought how my reaction as a mother would be hysterical and asking myself how she was not a mess. However, I often also try to remind myself that trauma hits us all different. I think that regardless the fact that this really didn't spread out of local media until 48 hours in is a shame. I think the fact that an amber alert, even one containing basic information with her description and just saying to look out for her, wasn't sent out until well after the most crucial period of time to bring a child home safe - all because the parent may or may not be involved is a chance that should be taken. I think any time a child is gone and there are no definitive answers yet that LE and everyone else should make sure the child should be heard of all over America in those first 24 hours. The abductor could have had an entire half an hour after to drive off between the mom seeing her gone and calling LE, not to mention how much time after LE responded to keep going. That means he could have got far enough away with her that showing her just on the local news really wouldn't have informed anyone in the places he had time to take her to. I can not imagine being the one innocent parent and LE won't tell people my baby is abducted because of the other people who have hurt their kids. The mother is only 19 so she may be calling a gas statiom a custard stand or saying floor instead of geound because inside she is a wreck right now and she is scared. She may be so calm because she is experiencing disaasociation due to the shock and trauma of the situation. We just don't know. What we should know is waiting nearly 48 hours to start informing people outside of that immediate area has done that little girl no favors. I know I'm in WV, on the east coast where it happened, and I use websites like this and I still didn't hear about Dulce until late last night.

Even if her mom did end up having done something I'd rather have her face out there in the beginning and say she may have been abducted then just assume she wasn't, they really have nothing to lose by doing that at the very least. Even if it isn't necessarily an amber alert because I understand it has certain requirments. Still, just telling the whole country a little girl is missing and show her face all over and spread info as quickly as possible through every outlet is better than waiting until they can clear the family to then investigate abduction.

The first 24 hours is so important when it is an abduction. I don't think LE should take the chance of missing out finding a kid in that time with the public's help just because her family MAY have been involved. MOO

Does anyone else feel like there was too much time in between Dulce going missing and LE and MSM really putting the information out there that this could really be an abduction? Do you agree that when an abduction is clearly possible the information should be spread faster in this day and age of technology?

I was happy to see an Amber Alert flashing on 295 this morning (major route through the state). It stated "Amber Alert. Red Van." I wish it said more, but at least its something. I think we need to change the amber alert laws so that it gets activated when a child is missing, not only when they are suspected to be abducted. In reality, Amber wasn't thought to be abducted, just missing, but really she was dead next door. So an Amber Alert would've have helped Amber.

MsMarple, I really don't know a lot here, but the reason it may be her and not her brother is because a lot of these pedophiles have a "type", which is clearly disturbing and disgusting. They have thought about it way more than I'm comfortable recognizing so they know if they want a boy or a girl. They know if they want a 3 year old or a 5 year old, or which ever age. They will sometimes take a child outside of their "type" if it is convenient, but most of the time they will seek out a child that meets the standards in their sick fantasies. For all we know he may have targeted Dulce. He may have already picked her out and waited for the right oppurtunity. Some of them will do that and watch the kid for days. He may have even talled to her before that day so he wouldn't seem like such a stranger. Or maybe he was just in the area and saw the chance to take a little girl that looked like what he wanted and he did it. Their motives are beyond baffling, but they habe also put a lot of thought into it.

According to the mother, the 3-year-old returned to the car without his sister and they were not able to locate her after.

"I went looking for her and couldn't find her and I called the cops," she said. "They were looking for her all night. The dogs were out here."

The last images taken of the child were with her mom and little brother buying ice cream at a nearby store just before they went to the park.

According to police, the girl’s mother, 19-year-old Noema Perez, drove her children to the playground at about 4 p.m. on Monday.

Perez searched the area for about 15 minutes before calling her brother. They searched for nearly an hour before contacting police.

“I just want to find her and I want to find her that she’s OK,” Perez told CBS Philly. “That nothing bad has happened to her.”

“At this point, we are treating it as a missing child,” Bridgeton Police Chief Michael Gaimari tells NJ.com. “We’re exploring all possibilities.”

According to CBS News, Dulce was wearing brown pants with flowers and butterflies, a pink-colored shirt with long sleeves and white dress shoes.

“We’re exhausting all efforts at this time to locate the child,” Bridgeton Police Chief Michael Gaimari said, according to NJ.com.

Bridgeton Mayor Albert Kelly has also spoken out about the search effort saying, “We’re just hoping that, perhaps, by the grace of God we’ll find her,” NJ.com reported. “I’m just so happy that so many in the community are reaching out and asking what they can do to help. We have a good community here. We’re going to find her… alive.”

Dulce’s mom explained that her daughter is “shy.”

“She really doesn’t talk to people, Perez said, NJ.com reported. “She wouldn’t go off with a stranger. She would always be with me or my mom. I don’t know why she just ran away.” bbm

Timeline from NJ.com:

Monday shortly before 4 p.m.: Dulce’s mother Noema Alavez told police they stopped along with Dulce’s 3-year-old brother and an 8-year-old relative at a Sunoco convenience store for ice cream. Video surveillance captured at the store showed the children looking into a display case. Police provided images from the video to help show the clothes Dulce was wearing when she went missing.

Monday shortly after 4 p.m: Noema Alavez arrives at City Park with Dulce and the two other children. Dulce and her younger brother ran off to play, while her mother Noema Alavez stayed in the vehicle with an 8-year-old relative.

After about 10 minutes, the 3-year-old ran back to the car crying and pointed to the area where he said he last saw his sister, which included some storage buildings near the playground.

Monday at 5 p.m.: Noema Alavez calls police to report her daughter missing, beginning what would be an extensive search of the massive park.

About two dozen people were playing basketball at a court near the play area at the time the child went missing, police said. All were interviewed by police and none initially reported seeing an abduction, according to police. Witnesses confirmed seeing the kids at the playground.

The search went late into the night.

Tuesday at 7 a.m.: Police resumed the search at 7 a.m. Tuesday and continued looking all day. Members of the community joined in the effort. The search included aircraft and thermal imaging cameras.

Investigators searched the 1,000-acre park, its adjoining neighborhoods and nearby Sunset Lake throughout the day on Tuesday before calling off the search when it became too dark.

More than 50 officers from various agencies within the county, city fire department personnel and K9s from throughout the state were involved in the search. A waterway at the park was also drained as part of the search.

Tuesday around 10 p.m.: New Jersey State Police issue an Amber Alert for Dulce, for the first time revealing new information indicating that the 5-year-old may have been abducted from the park. They issued a description of the man and red van with a sliding door believed to be involved in her kidnapping.

Bridgeton police later explained that the new information was uncovered after interviewing and re-interviewing witnesses.

Wednesday morning: Noema Alavez told NJ Advance Media that police have suggested that members of Dulce’s family may have been involved in her disappearance, but she denied the claim.

“The police think our family did this,” she said. “They think I did something to her. I didn’t. I love my daughter. I would never do nothing bad to her."

Wednesday at 2 p.m.: Police Chief Michael Gaimari said investigators have obtained video surveillance that may show the van being sought in the abduction, but Dulce whereabouts remain unknown.

WS is being wonky! Anyways, just trying to say that the mom's timeline is so tight. And she had an eight year old with her. Stranger abductions are so rare. But I am giving it serious consideration in this case.

Where are you sweet pea?
