This is a airport who is only used for parachutes and small private aircrafts. Operated by Saltdal flyklubb (Aeroclub) and only for recreational flying.

Foldable kayak found by police - connected to missing person Arjen Kamphuis

Last Tuesday night the police found a foldable kayak which the police believes belong to the missing Arjen Kamphuis. The kayak is an Oru Kayak Coast XT.

The kayak was found in the same area in which the police conducted a search on the night of Tuesday September 11th and the following day yesterday, after other items belonging to Kamphuis was found. Information about which other spesific items that were found will at this time not be released by the police out of consideration to the ongoing investigation.

The police has information that Arjen Kamphuis went to the purchase of such a foldable kayak prior to travelling to Norway. The police believes that the missing person brought this kayak til Norway.

During transport, Arjen Kamphuis might have brought the kayak with him in a dark bag. When checking out from the hotel in Bodø on August 20th, he was in posession of two dark bags. The weigt of the foldable kayak is given to be 15 kilos.

The search continues
The police will today carry out further searches and inquiries in the area, and will otherwise continue the ongoing investigation in the case.
