I think it's possible. This man probably had some secrets.
Well, he appears to definitely have had secrets. His own brother seemed to not know him at all.

I'll confess that I'm both. I want to know why and I definitely want justice.^^ BBM
We're all varied, but I'm like that, too.
I agree that what you posted does indeed cover some of the murderers actions. So far in this case it's a mystery as to what could have caused this break. The facts so far point to a premeditation and careful planning on how to cause the most casualties. I keep expecting to hear the "missing link".
Just my take on this but he probably did the window breaking and began shooting almost simultaneously.
So strange because as an accountant/auditor, he would have to know that his money transfers would be noticed.
Weird.

About four dozen Americans were killed, prompting swift and brutal retribution from the United States. Brig. Gen. Jacob W. Smith ordered his men to kill anyone who could bear arms. To him, that meant anyone age 10 and older.“I want no prisoners. I wish you to kill and burn, the more you kill and burn the better it will please me,” Smith said.
My bet is that his behavior has always been "off" and possibly deteriorating for some time. It always always comes out in the wash. And there are always signs in hindsight. They are either noticed by individuals interacting with the person and dismissed or just entirely missed before the event.
I have yet to read about one single mass shooter where 100% of people have said "This came out of absolutely nowhere, he was a totally well adjusted person". There are always signs, some kind of significant stressor that precedes a change in behavior and demeanor, or a lifelong "Yeah, he was always off".
His brother stated that he hasn't seen him in 1 or 2 years since "Moving him" (what is that about? ) from Melbourne to Mesquite. Why would a younger brother have to "Move" his older and apparently extremely wealthy older brother from one place to another. The choice of language is strange and maybe some insight into this man's functioning.
Also, the brother hasn't "seen " him in 1 or 2 years but was in contact via text recently regarding Irma. Maybe his brother hadn't noticed changes in his behavior/habits because he is not truly in close contact with him from what I sense from his interview and that is why this is like an "asteroid" that fell out of the sky. He also said "Find out who he got the machine guns from" What does that mean? His brother did what his brother did. I'm not sure why it matters so much who he bought his weapons from. The point is he bought them and used them to slaughter innocents en masse.
Just wanted to say thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Our friend is in ICU she was shot in the head and they are unsure if she will pull through.
So he was only pretending to make a living off the gambling and the money was coming from somewhere else? Maybe. I don't know how to explain sending the money to the Philippines. Laundering. Paying someone off. Giving the money away. Or... ? Could he have been planning on running and starting over there?
Gunshots are very hard to determine where they are coming from and, if they are gunshots at all. Vegas is always having some sort of big function going on and fireworks would not be out of the realm of possibility. People in the area of gunfire often mistake it for something that it isn't.

I was looking for this about the money being sent to the Philippines*. He may have filed the appropriate paperwork. I've a feeling that this money went into an account for either her, or one of her family members. I could be wrong. It's happened before. I'm not completely comfortable that they won't learn more once they start digging into her history, and, start questioning her, if they get the chance. They may have to go to her.
Please don't laugh, because I know this may seem way far out there, but I'm just trying to make some sort of sense of this. The Philippine's President is not shy about launching verbal attacks, and this past July, he launched another on the U.S....
This happened in 1901 but the Phillipine's President is wanting the Balangiga bells back that the U.S. took, when the Phillipinos resisted American colonization. During the resistance:

Could it be something like that? Retribution? The money sent to the Philippines, his gf/wife is from the Philippines, the Philippine's president is not shy about verbally attacking the U.S. over wanting their bells back, and horrible events that happened during the colonization. (The Philippines was our territory until 1946. There are obviously old wounds that have not healed.)
I know it sounds crazy, but so is murdering 58 people attending a concert.

Since he was a high roller the casino would most likely cater to him and let him have his choice of rooms.
Wonder if he and his roommate were involved in a card counting scheme?

I've been reading from the beginning but I want to say this is very true. Within a few months of moving to TX I was stopped on a highway due to a police chase going on. They had blown out the suspects tires in incoming traffic just ahead of me. As he lost control and came across the ditch/divide he came out guns blazing with police in hot pursuit. He carjacked the guy 4 cars in front of me, he didn't shoot the guy. As he went through the median the police started firing. I had no clue at first. There must have been 50 rounds fired as he sped off. After the first few rounds that sounded like firecrackers, I realized and ducked down behind my dash. They did connect through the vehicle and he succumbed to a gutshot wound down I45.
It takes a bit of situational awareness to realize those are gun shots.
As to the people in the video, I think some were intoxicated and not thinking clearly. Others thought they were helping by pointing out which direction the shots were coming from. My husband is a conspiracy theorist and has some ideas.
IMO I think it was a guy who got a lot of money in a lawsuit years ago and lived a flashy lifestyle and things started to crumble. His domestic situation was iffy. Vegas messed up his childhood with his father. Vegas gave him the cash, Vegas took it. People celebrating and having fun were a place to take out his anger and hate. I don't think it was religious or political. I think he was an angry old man and this was the emphasis of "get off my lawn".
Don't blame the gun, the gun didn't do this, the person behind it did. Mine sit comfortably in the closet until I take them to the range. They travel without issue. Gun laws only limit guns to law abiding individuals. Those with a will, will find a way.
