Investigators are trying to determine whether anyone else was in the Las Vegas gunman's hotel room during the time he was registered there, multiple senior law enforcement officials briefed on the investigation told NBC News.

The investigators are puzzled by two discoveries: First, a charger was found that does not match any of the cellphones that belonged to the gunman, Stephen Paddock.

And second: Garage records show that during a period when Paddock's car left the hotel garage, one of his key cards was used to get into his room.

It also says he made $5m in 2015 from gambling.

Edit: An interesting slip, there. He had multiple cellphones... I wonder why.

When I look at this photo I think you are seeing the "top" half of the door, not the bottom half. The two recessed squares on the door are not the same size and I think you would be able to see the full smaller square in the opening. I would assume we are not seeing the bottom half of the door and that might explain the lack of bullet holes visible. Of course JMO Also not really sure it maters, just an observation.

I think you may be right. Good catch. So the bottom half of the door is where the bullets went through mostly. That to me would indicate that he was laying prone on the floor to fire. In the background, inside the suite, you can see a rifle with its bipod. He may have used something similar if not that actual rifle.

On another note, outside the door on the floor you can see what appears to be a "Do Not Disturb" sign. That sign clearly failed.

Officials say Las Vegas prostitutes have provided perhaps the most telling profile of Paddock, known by them as a regular customer, as a cheap man who didn’t display emotion, and about the only clues into a reason for the attack center around Paddock's mental state. A person briefed on findings from the investigation told ABC News' Brian Ross that Paddock's mental state was deteriorating in the months prior to the attack, including weight gain, an increasingly slovenly appearance and an obsession with Danley's ex-husband.

Paddock addition to his frequent forays into casinos and gun shops, Las Vegas strip killer Stephen Paddock took 20 cruises, many of them in Europe and the Middle East, investigators have learned.http://www.cnn.com/2017/10/06/us/vegas-shooter-paddock-foreign-cruises/index.html

I,have only been in Vegas at the airport, staying at a motel right by the airport. I have had zero desire to ever go there so my knowledge is based on nothing.

I imagine the hotels to be filled with cameras. Not true?

Do they have gambling on these cruises? Do they have gambling in Dubai?

I listened to the 33-minute video of the motor-mouthed brother. In it he told of how much money the SP made gambling and how the casinos comped expensive food, hotels, etc. He also bragged IMO about how much money he made gambling. My question is wouldnt a casino want a customer who spent more money than he won ? Seems like if you were beating the odds and breaking the casinos banks they would escort you out of the place not give you comps? Unless I guess his gambling was against other players not against the casino. maybe I answered my own question here but I just cannot grasp how anyone could really make a living and as the brothers says a darn good living at gambling. I am highly suspisious he was involed in some neferious dealings maybe even in ka- hoots with the casino which turned sour.

Also from your link...

. Officials tell ABC News some of the ammo was bought under a name not his, leading to speculation of a possible accomplice.

-Could the charger be from an overnight visitor?

Confused. Is this Page woman a neighbor in Mesquite, or Reno? Possibly the silver minivan was a rental???? So, did MD pack up and go to Reno from Mesquite? Is that why her car was found in Reno? Then, what car was found in the parking garage in Las Vegas? If MD went from Mesquite to Reno and then got a ride to an airport that would explain the car being in Reno. BUT MD told investigators that by him sending her $$$ she thought that maybe he was breaking up with her? Yet, she must have thought that, way before receiving the money, as she was all packed up and leaving the house in Mesquite way before she received the money in the Philippines. As I said, I'm VERY confused.........lol........JMO

That's the million dollar question. How the hell is it still a mystery who was in his room or car with the amount of surveillance casinos are notorious for?

I know some places (not Vegas that I know of) have dummy cameras.

Could that be true there as well?

I would tell them to take a peek at the hallway video cams for the answer to that, you wont get their name and ID but you would find out pretty quick who came and went, which I am sure that was the 1st thing they did.

Maybe it's not a mystery to LE but they haven't located the person yet and don't want them to go into hiding or do something stupid.

Yes, most cruise ships have a casino on them.

Are there games on those ships where a person could make money? I doubt if they have the high caliber of people working the casino like they do in Vegas.

We have a friend who has a $10,000 fund just for gambling, He plays blackjack and my husband says our friend wins. He does it for fun, not a living.

I know a guy who set the odds at a casino or maybe more than one, for payouts on slot machines. There is no way anyone can determine when you are going to win. It sounds like the monster played slots as well.

I can see how you have a chance at blackjack. But my urban legend says they kick out card counters, I also heard they do not cater to big winners.

So,was he a big winner?

-So much for what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. I have often wondered how the high rollers feel about their best ‘kept’ secret for successful returns are on the surveillance. The same for prostitutes, criminals and any others wanting to be invisible.

I doubt that he spent much time ANYWHERE where there were no casinos. We don't know exactly WHEN or how many trips he took to load that room up with the weapons. He may have had a visitor BEFORE all the weapons were visible. LE MUST know who entered the room, unless surveillance cameras were disabled. JMO
