Husband, retired attorney, feels there will be a slew of lawsuits against the company that makes the bump stock. May well bankrupt them.

So confident about no other shooters, but not about an accomplice.

At a Friday press conference, McMahill said they did not think there was a second shooter, but he said it was unclear whether or not Paddock had help.

Paranoia? Manic?

The two cell phones has a paranoia feel to it as well.

If there is no connection to the amount of guns in the room to selling , in desperation for money that too is a pretty expansive thinking process.

They said he spent 8 nours non stop the night before (insomnia)

we know alone his room service delivery might be considered expansive or paranoid as well

I read he would not let housekeeping in - so room service is a hassle to move all that stuff into the other room

the other room being locked might be perceived as paranoia as well

Who knows they may have done it and not released but staff the night before in the room where he did not budge for 8 hours might be helpful to know state of mind

At another level it is a pretty expansive as well to machine gun get away blow up et

But if arms dealing some explosive stuff might be on the shopping list?

200 rounds into the hallway for a hotel sec guard has a overkill feel to it as well- especially if he could see where the sec guard was

just ramblings!!

Bump stocks can allow a gun to shoot 400-800 rounds per second. I think he just held onto the trigger until that magazine was empty. It would only take about 15-20 seconds.

Brain Donation to Research Having tech probs, so could not quote Q about why a donated brain might be turned away.

"... other dementias, including research into new treatments.
Brain donations are essential to furthering these research advancements. Planning ahead will help in this process of giving the ultimate gift.
[h=2]"Arrangements must be made with a research center, tissue or brain bank, or university well in advance of the person's death.[/h]
  • Many organizations are not set up to accept a brain donation without prior arrangement; there may be eligibility requirements and consent forms to sign.
  • Research centers often only accept brain tissue from individuals who have participated in a research study.
  • If the person with Alzheimer's did not make his/her wishes known for brain donation, the next of kin or legal guardian makes the decision.
  • Your local chapter of the Alzheimer's Association may have a directory of the brain banks and research centers nearest you.
  • "National Institutes of Health (NIH) NeuroBioBank
  • The NeuroBioBank program includes five banks that accept donations from individuals with neurological disorders resulting in dementia, including, but not limited to, vascular, frontotemporal and Lewy body dementia. Individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease are referred to the Alzheimer's Disease Centers program, as space at the brain banks is limited. The five brain banks are: [...snip..]

-Wow! Thank you for providing this extensive but easy reading information. Its sad to think a decision can’t always be made after the person is deceased “unless it is already written in advance”. Ive seen this cause havoc for all parties involved when there wasn’t an absolute. I’m all for research and recycling with what is ready-available.

very interesting

I don't think his girlfriend knew anything about his plans, I could be wrong but just a feeling I get. Also I recently read a book on a British serial killer and after they searched his house they said they could find nothing that would hint that he was a serial killer, in fact they found nothing that would indicate he actually lived there, aside from clothes etc. It was like there was no personal belongings . They said he lived there but he wasn't comfortable to be himself there. Afterwards they found a place where he felt comfortable and that's where they found all his trophies, at the bottom of a lake.
I think we will find the shooter had some sort of lock up where he kept all his obsessions, artefacts, and even trophies, it's just a case of when it will be found in moo.

BBM

I don't know. CNN just reported that the stairwell on the 32nd floor had been barricaded and they assumed it was done by the shooter.

-Stairwell on ‘the 32nd floor’ wasn’t in the original quote. This is certainly attainable, though not the entire hotel stairwell.

-Please explain ‘no outsiders welcome’??
Thank you

Federal law protects firearms manufacturers and gun stores from lawsuits.

I don't know if that protection is worded in a way that would protect bump stock makers.

Confused. Is this Page woman a neighbor in Mesquite, or Reno? Possibly the silver minivan was a rental???? So, did MD pack up and go to Reno from Mesquite? Is that why her car was found in Reno? Then, what car was found in the parking garage in Las Vegas? If MD went from Mesquite to Reno and then got a ride to an airport that would explain the car being in Reno. BUT MD told investigators that by him sending her $$$ she thought that maybe he was breaking up with her? Yet, she must have thought that, way before receiving the money, as she was all packed up and leaving the house in Mesquite way before she received the money in the Philippines. As I said, I'm VERY confused.........lol........JMO

dont know why from the beginning have been surprised that it appears that most think she was not coming back.

I think she may have planned on coming back from the beginning not sure why tho

nor do I know how many got to it was the end of living with him??

Burner phone? Illegal activity/black market. I'm thinking he was a gun runner

Reminded of this movie based on a true story.

Hi, I'm sure this has already been posted, but just in case, WOW! The irony! And the last shot is of the concert area!

Man posts video tour of same room where Las Vegas gunman fired deadly*shots

"The nearly five-minute video narrated by Bridges gives a tour of the suite, including a final look at the concert area.

“The video ironically ends with a view down on the concert area,” Bridges wrote."

The photo in the Daily Mail shows the left section of the door lying on its side, after being blown off of its hinges:

If the lower half of the door took 200 rounds, there wouldn't be a lower half of the door. 10 rounds are visible in that door, which is only 5% of the alleged rounds shot through the hallway. Multiply what you see by 20, and that's what they're alleging came through the door. Doesn't seem exactly reasonable. I could see a lot of rounds being fired. A few dozen. But not 200. :moo:
I think the door is positioned that way for a reason. I don't know why investigators would lie about this.

I listened to the 33-minute video of the motor-mouthed brother. In it he told of how much money the SP made gambling and how the casinos comped expensive food, hotels, etc. He also bragged IMO about how much money he made gambling. My question is wouldnt a casino want a customer who spent more money than he won ? Seems like if you were beating the odds and breaking the casinos banks they would escort you out of the place not give you comps? Unless I guess his gambling was against other players not against the casino. maybe I answered my own question here but I just cannot grasp how anyone could really make a living and as the brothers says a darn good living at gambling. I am highly suspisious he was involed in some neferious dealings maybe even in ka- hoots with the casino which turned sour.

agree like ripping off other players in the casinos favors which ended for sone reason

def think at some level he had sone issue with the city

is this hotel MGM flagship ib vegas

actually i was surprised at the rate nit that I could it but it was not like what I expected
