I don't know how miles work. So I'm asking here. If you want a very specific flight, might you not be able to get one with your miles if it's booked pretty solidly? I'm wondering if he wanted her gone by a certain time if he had to pay. Or maybe there are other restrictions on miles? But again, the brother only knows what he was told. Maybe the guy did not have the miles or the money he claimed to have for that matter.

Miles have had worse and worse restrictions lately so they are basically worthless. Overseas is nearly impossible. The hawaii trip I mentioned... I tried one year out from rolling and flexible travel dates for two years and could never get a flight.

Four brothers raised without father, read somewhere they were poor, he is a mailman and an accountant and then suddenly becomes an estate mogul or something with planes and a high roller in casinos. Has anyone figured that part out where this became a rags to riches story.
Is this a typical American life story or am I as a non-american missing something here?

Or like outlawing the sale of all assault weapons and accessories used to allow someone to kill large numbers of people. JMO of course. Limits on the sale of ammo, too. Other countries have these bans - England, Australia, etc.

Fully assault weapons have been banned for decades. Semi automatic requires a trigger pull for each shot.

There is absolutely no difference between a fully automatic assault weapon, and a semi automatic assault weapon. They are the exact same weapons. A child could watch YouTube and learn how to turn a semi automatic into a fully automatic weapon.

If you have to modify a semiautomatiic to make an automatic, then they are not the same weapon.

I saw that too and just think it was one of many hundreds of bullets he chose to spray on the crowd and two hit that tank, even I know if you shoot at a thick fuel tank it would not ignite unless you also have a spark to go with it. I think it was just a stray bullet

I am praying hard for the wounded to recover, as we all are.

Sending thoughts and prayers to the families and friends of the victims. My heart is greatly saddened at what they are going through.

Thousands of people have been traumatized over the effects of this as well. So many lives changed during and after this horrid event.

It is uplifting to hear about free counselling being offered which is greatly needed by so many.

Lets pretend that a law limiting gun purchase's have been around since SP was 21 years old. He could have bought 215 guns in that time period. 30 guns in the last 6 years.

I'm not sure a 5 gun yearly limit would make much difference.

IIRC first burst wasn't into the crowd. I wonder if he fired at the tanks but they didn't blow. (With that double rolled steel you're only gonna get bullet dents). Maybe switched to plan B and fired at the people. Just a thought before hitting the sack.

That makes sense. I call BS on the stories that he must have had accomplices. That he couldn't have done this alone. This guy is a classic lone wolf. He wanted to be alone to prepare for this by himself. That's why he sent his wife out of the country.
