I agree, MGM can't absolve themselves of potential liability by pinning an employee to the wall. As far as liability and lawsuits, JC was an MGM employee. Even in any hypothetical situation involving clear employee wrongdoing, the company is still liable for the actions of its employees. IMO that he was a union member really has no direct connection to the situation - JC wasn't employed by the union nor was the union hired by MGM.

I agree Misty. JC and MGM are in this boat together regardless of what JC wants at this point.
On that note, regarding videos or none in hallways, it's fairly common in my area to hear of crimes taking place on or near business properties BUT the videos were not working properly or malfunctioned, etc. Hope that scenario doesn't come up here.

I agree, selling arms from the 32nd floor of a tourist resort would seem rather silly. It's just as likely he made his riches through drug trade. We know he profited from the sale of real estate so he had a source of funds and he appeared to live a relatively mundane lifestyle albeit most of it in casinos where many of his needs were complimentary.

I'm interestered in hearing more about his relationship with MD. IMO she knows much more about him than was released by the media, "a kind, caring, quiet man". SP was married twice but the marriages were relatively short, 2 and 4 years iirc. No information of other relationships. SP met MD prior to 2013, when he visited her family in the Philippines. MD may have spent more years with SP and have been closer to him than anyone. Had this relationship broken up? Don't know although MD told the media she thought it had when she was sent the $100,000. I don't think her vague explanation is fully credible.

One of the things that caught my eye was Sept 22nd - Sept 25 just happened to coincide with the downtown Life is Beautiful concert in LV. SP reserved a room at the Ogden during that time. On the 25th he checked into Mandalay Bay. Perhaps the dates of MD's travel are a coincidence but I couldn't help but notice how they overlaid. Why did she fly to Hong Kong and who did she see? Could jealously, and broken relationship set SP off the rails? Yes I expect this is probably a boring theory but I do wonder.....

I cannot imagine a scenario involving the complexity of transporting weapons from a vehicle to the 32nd floor of a hotel, then purchasers transporting them out of the hotel and into a vehicle, considering LV is surrounded by miles and miles of empty desert. Secondly, to sell weapons prior to the tradegy that occured just seems contrary, wouldn't it be far more likely SP was accumulating?

Its very strange a credible named source has not come through with that information about him.. the prostitute that was interviewed was not credible and the Sun is notoriously unethical..
But if there were really prostitutes in his life.. what was that about.. what does it say about his commitment to a full time relationship with one woman..
MD is indeed a fascinating story.. for a time I wondered whether she was behind the entire operation..
Yet she stuck with him.. and he with her.. she wasn't poor, from what I gather.. the measly 100,000$ after all her years..payoff or pay somebody else off?
Its so weird the Harvey weinstein story took all MSM and is taking them still.. no new work on this..

My random thoughts on Ellen interview:
The door "slamming" loud enough for SP to hear it makes zero sense to me...this is a high dollar suite in Las Vegas, the rooms are usually pretty sound proof because people are sleeping at all hours...and the door would likely not "slam" loud enough to be heard inside his suite. I've never stayed at Mandalay Bay, nor have I ever used their stairwells, so this is purely JMO.

Also, he didn't say anything about an alarm going off, just that a door had been left ajar - not a huge deal, but I'm curious why the wording changed.

Lastly, there were three calls
9:59 to JC to report door ajar
?? JC calls maintenance to report stairwell door jammed
10:05 Shots fired - Jesus doesn't tell them he's been shot (call an ambulance), in order to clear radio traffic. How much longer does it take to say he's been shot? Clearing the channel also does not make sense because it is doubtful police would be carrying around radios belonging to Mandalay Bay security. Could be wrong on this though.

Meanwhile the maintenance person drops whatever he is doing to go to 32nd floor to check out door, but Jesus does not call back engineering to tell them to stop maintenance from coming onto the floor.

You have to sell them somewhere. The 32nd Floor wouldn't be a problem with access to an elevator, a bellhop and valet parking.
Someone could sell them at a seedy motel but why not Vegas? Why not a casino? I'm sure far worse is going on there daily.

Not if he's illegally selling to an illegal outlet. Lots of foreign crime entities seek out these type semi-automatics.
there could potentially be HUGE markup.
I also think MD knows more than she's telling.
 
I wonder if SP paid for the guns, prescriptions, etc. with cash or credit card or check?
these guys quite often do most of their business with cash so it cannot be traced.

That LE named her a POI once again is also interesting. It may mean they learned she was not forthcoming. In her media disclosure that she thought the $100k might be because they'd broken up suggests the relationship was not solid. Nothing's been said about communication between the two after she left on Sept 15th.

That there are photos of SP with MD visiting her family in the Phillipines in 2013 but he didn't go with her during this trip, instead he plants himself in LV casinos.

I'm not sure that she had the power to control his actions but I'm thinking of other broken relationships where a mentally unhinged partner does all sorts of utterly vindictive acts including burning houses to murdering family members. I'm curious is MD was an avid Jason Andean fan. Probably has no connection but his fans are well known as the Aldean Army.
