If SP was going to break up with MD, it is odd that he had just purchased her a car in August.

My guess is a guy with SP's odd personality, MD didn't know from one minute to the next if SP would kick her out. Probably similar or worse than living with a psychopath.

The first photo I think is much older than just two weeks ago otherwise looks like the same guy unless he has a doppelganger or a twin brother.

It looks like the same man to me. He's been through a lot recently and is wearing a vest (who could blame him) so he appears stockier. It helps to look at more than two pictures.

A bit of a coincidence though that he says he "heard" drilling that was actually gunfire. And then come to find out the reports that SP actually was drilling and had multiple tools for drilling.

Not sure what you're implying. If it was gunfire that he first mistook for drilling, he found out it was real within a minute or so when he was shot walking down the hall. It all seemed to happen pretty quickly. JC had already been shot and was hiding in an alcove by the time SS arrived to check out JC's report of a broken door.

They were both pinned down by Paddock pretty quickly.

Yes, JC said he initially thought it was drilling, SS thought it was a jackhammer. The sound was muffled, in a room, behind closed doors. It was also one of those situations when you're not expecting to hear gunfire and interpret the sound as something else. Same as when people hear gunfire and they think it's firecrackers. Because Paddock was using an automatic weapon, it would have had that drilling/jackhammer rapid fire sound.

In a hotel, the workers would be accustomed to hearing drilling and other construction sounds, not gunfire.

My vague answer is..... "it depends".

Relatively few people have experience with rapid fire weapons. Such a weapon being fired from behind a thick door with thick walls may sound like a percussion drill or jack hammer to somebody unprepared to hear it or who have never heard rapid gun fire. At the same time, somebody who has heard those weapons, or has used one, would probably readily identify the sound as gunfire.

JMO, he didn't stray from shooting at the crowd. He deliberately shot at those tanks. He might have used a gun with a scope to aim single shots, but he also probably shot at them by spraying the shots in their general direction. He went through a lot of ammo and still had plenty left.

I'm still trying to figure out why this is questioned. Is there some theory that someone else shot the tanks? Either way, ballistics will prove the gun and shooter. They retrieved some of the bullets in that area, IIRC.

It is questioned because it's been reported shooting at the tank wouldn't have caused an explosion.
Speaking to the Las Vegas Review Journal, aviation consultant Mike Boyd explained that it was extremely hard to ignite jet fuel with bullets.

‘A machine gun is not going to blow up a tank of fuel’, he said.

This is really not shocking. I don't think they have found any information about SP to remotely show his motive for doing these mass shootings so there is no additional information to report by doing another PC.

I dont expect them to ever find a reason to explain his motive for doing so.

I don't think they have found any illegal dealings or other criminal activity in his background either before he did these mass shootings.

The motive will remain unknown and only in the mind of the dead murderer long silenced.

People don't even have to have a motive other than a motive to want to shoot innocent others in mass. That IS the motive imo, just like many others who have killed for the thrill of it and to prove to themselves they could do it.

Imo, LE will never be able to uncover anything to explain why SP did what he did.

I agree, we may never know. It's natural with these horrific tragedies that people who know the perpetrator don't want to be named in the media unless its to express their shock and sorrow. Even if others knew him to be utterly vicious, mean and miserable isn't enough to suspect he had the potential to become dangerous.

But I have give a hunch that MD will eventually sell her story, maybe in the form of a book. JMO

I agree, selling arms from the 32nd floor of a tourist resort would seem rather silly. It's just as likely he made his riches through drug trade. We know he profited from the sale of real estate so he had a source of funds and he appeared to live a relatively mundane lifestyle albeit most of it in casinos where many of his needs were complimentary.

I'm interestered in hearing more about his relationship with MD. IMO she knows much more about him than was released by the media, "a kind, caring, quiet man". SP was married twice but the marriages were relatively short, 2 and 4 years iirc. No information of other relationships. SP met MD prior to 2013, when he visited her family in the Philippines. MD may have spent more years with SP and have been closer to him than anyone. Had this relationship broken up? Don't know although MD told the media she thought it had when she was sent the $100,000. I don't think her vague explanation is fully credible.

One of the things that caught my eye was Sept 22nd - Sept 25 just happened to coincide with the downtown Life is Beautiful concert in LV. SP reserved a room at the Ogden during that time. On the 25th he checked into Mandalay Bay. Perhaps the dates of MD's travel are a coincidence but I couldn't help but notice how they overlaid. Why did she fly to Hong Kong and who did she see? Could jealously, and broken relationship set SP off the rails? Yes I expect this is probably a boring theory but I do wonder.....

Acoustics. Gunfire indoors, blocked by closed doors will be muffled as opposed to noise of gunfire coming out of an open window and echoing off buildings, etc. Indoors, loud sounds can be muffled by walls, doors, insulation, carpeting, drapes, etc.

If JC knew it was gunfire, why would he walk into it and get shot in the leg? Human instinct says he wouldn't. He walked down the hall away from Paddock's room thinking everything was ok until he was shot. As he said, they assume it was the sound of the stairway door slamming behind JC that alerted Paddock that someone was in the hallway.

If this wasn't such a horrific event, I would be laughing hysterically at another change in the story. TPTB are literally making a mockery of the biggest mass shooting in modern American history. I feel so sorry for the victims.

The only good thing about this is the check MB is going to have to write to any of them just keeps getting bigger and bigger with all the changes. I can't imagine the helplessness/frustration/anger they must be feeling.

HUGE: How do citizens-victims respond to the bizarre inaccurate delivery of tragic news? It is tragedy being relived over and over...as each time it changes. That in itself is so similarly tragic in nature-PTSD whiplash. They deserve truth and assurance from those that are employed to do so.

Ellen is great, but I wonder if the struggling victims took solace from that being as the key witness & victim of a historic massacre showed up with no attorney or MGM official. Use the correlation of 911, why is this any different in tone? Was the very first interview on Ellen???


In my opinion MGM is not going to be buddying up *in true confidence* with JC. The way they have spinned him already is obvious, he sadly doesn’t realize it yet. I don’t think the $1000 an hour Crisis Firm hired by MB for *damage control* has met with JC. If so, that would have been established prior to an interview and I don’t think they would suggest a day time comedy show as the lead out for JC. Regardless if he is shy, timid, etc.

Today we hear there was another voice in the hallway? Why didn’t LE or FBI choose to ignore that piece of info in their separate meetings with JC? Who is she?

We were initially told “drilling”? We did not see any holes with loads of sheetrock or wood dust on the ground? Did JC get to go back in the room with LE?

But do we know that SP would've known that? His background was accountant turned gambler. The strength of airport fuel tanks in not information generally known to the public, unless one is involved in the industry. And it's certainly not something one could innocently inquire upon. That he allegedly used incendiary bullets, he may have thought it would rip through the metal because he'd practised on empty barrels in the past and it worked?

That the fuel tanks did not explode suggests he didn't have expert resources. However the explosives found in one of his two vehicles do give rise to questions, JMO

JMO, MGM delayed calling 911 because they didn't think the gunfire report was serious and will try to blame JC somehow. Since the sheriff said JC called via radio and cell phone, it doesn't sound like MB has a leg to stand on. When JC called them with the first report of gunfire on the floor, they should have called 911. If that's what happened (and its just speculation on my part), it will be made public.

ETA: Previous news reports did state that there were other people on the floor during the shooting. Recall SWAT saying they had to evacuate other guests before breaking down Paddock's door.

Re drilling: The drilling noise is assumed to have been the sound of Paddock shooting. Confusion is attributable to sloppy reporting and conspiracy theory speculation.

So he buys her this vehicle on Aug 1st and by Sept 15th, he buys her a cheap ticket and she heads to the Phillipines and then receives $100000 and she thinks it's because maybe he's breaking up with her. Something had to have occured during those six weeks to cause her to suspect that.
