Interviewed by a reporter. While I like Ellen and all she isn't at all who would be a first and only choice for a massive event like this.
It feels like a huge joke. I half expected her to start dancing in the audience.
She isn't a reporter, she's a stand up comedian turned daytime talk show host
Are you kidding me right now?
Feels like a huge slap in the face to the victims. To be waiting to hear what happened so they can heal from the Ellen show?
And you're wondering why people aren't happy?
Sorry unacceptable

The victims don't care who interviews him. Remember, JC is a victim, too. Why is he held to a different standard?

JC doesn't have to do any interviews at all. He likely only wanted to do one only. It was obvious from his appearance that he's still very traumatized. If he agreed to do one news show interview, they would have all demanded equal time. He's obviously not up to giving 5 interviews and getting grilled by CT folk like the Fox news guys. He doesn't have to.

Just curious why you're focusing on JC only. SS was there, he was in the interview today. Not that he deserves any attack, but why is all the anger and vitriol directed at JC? Neither of them deserve the hate and anger flowing their way from the fringe groups.

Incorrect. It was the SHERIFF who said JC heard drilling and went to investigate. So, someone is lying.

-Yes, more than once on just that. And the door alarm? That has gone from this door to that door...

Because MGM wants the world to see what good guys they have there protecting the public? don't think so.
these two fellows are STILL on the MGM payroll BIGTIME> Good raise and promotion all in one week. haha

Link?

At about the same time, a female guest came out of her room and Campos shouted at her to get back inside, he told Ellen.

Wow, I couldn't imagine being in a situation like that. . . a guest at an upscale swanky Hotel/Casino, minding my own business, maybe flipping through the TV Channels or just lounging on the bed. . . hearing one, some or all of these noises: a door slam/the sound of drilling/jackhammer/semi-automatic gunfire, and then peering outside my hotel room only to come close to walking into a barrage of rapid fired projectiles. I bet she has quite a story to tell, as well. I would have felt trapped and absolutely terrified.

Sean Hannity is not a reporter, either, yet people were quite happy to have him do the interview.

He is a victim too. If one of the concertgoers who was shot went on Ellen to tell their story, would you criticize them the same way?
The weight of this tragedy and answers doesn't rest on other victims. (sad but true for JC, his and SS are the only account of this night people are saying we should believe)

If this is the only public appearance a creditable first hand witness who holds the key to this tragedy that's affected thousands of people worldwide makes, then yes, I'm upset.

Remember, if other concert goers went to tell their story now, they were confused folks in the midst of chaos and panic.

I also bet she's pretty thankful JC was there to tell her to get back inside. JMO

I'll turn that question around, So WHY did SS and JC go on Ellen? cause they're good citizens ?? and just want to straighten out the inaccurate details and timeline??? Nah, don't think so.
Ask, WHO is benefitting with their appearance on national TV???? Not SS, Not JC, only MGM and LV, That's your answer.

A victim who saves others lives can be considered a good citizen in my opinion. I believe that they went on the show to tell their story as people have been hounding him , including a loony extremist right wing "journalist" . Also many people were up in arms just 24 hours ago that he wasn't talking. Now that he has talked, and refused to receive any money from the interview, instead donating it to the victims, he is being criticized for that. Suspicion about his choice of Ellen. Suspicion surrounding his appearance and weight. Even suspicion cast upon his good and humble deed or donating the interview money to other victims. That is what we call a double bind. Can't win for trying.

I wonder why some cannot see JC as a victim or a hero or a good citizen, when his wounds and his actions clearly are deserving of all of the above. I'm stumped on that one....

JC is a victim. And this is a victim friendly forum.

I have no anger towards him..I don't think he made the decision solely to go on Ellen. Someone is guiding him and likely not a lawyer as others pointed out a lawyer would be there too? I believe if you look back at my previous posts I said I feel for him. At this point MOO is he is being used by MGM for their own agenda
And this is based on the fact they paid for private security, they whisked him away. His union didn't know his whereabouts Etc
He is a victim.

SS interview: https://youtu.be/khtcXWpetTQ
Who peaked their head out and said nothing? Campos? Or the girl JC told to go back in because of danger? And she said nothing?
Campos waits until after a volley of gunfire and at least a minute of silence before warning SS to duck?
If SS was going toward the room, how were the gunshots behind him? What hit him in the back?
*On Ellen's diagram, JC was closest to SP's suite, SS was further away

IMO they didn't even have to address the money part.
But it was purposely pointed out. Why?
Was SS paid for the CNN interview? Who cares!
Makes me wonder why it was mentioned to begin with.

-Anyone recall the post I referenced on when the PR Crisis firm issued a MANDATORY ‘no talk-no interview’ for their employees? I questioned it because
I thought how can they keep someone from Free Speech. A poster then responded that LV possibly being a ‘No work’ state, where if they talk they get fired. (not sure if No-work is the correct term)
I didn’t look into any further.

How does the weight of this tragedy fall on JC? He is a victim. He did not kill 58 people. What could he have done to prevent SP going on a shooting rampage?

I've never seen anyone be in such the wrong place at the absolute worst time in my life. A 20 something year old guy doing his job when a massacre breaks out and he gets shot.... yet here we are... talking about HIM, a VICTIM, more than the person who is actually to blame for all of this - SP.

The weight to let the world know his side. IMO he is/was being pressured to say something. Anything .. If I was in attendance that night, absolutely I'd be seeking answers. Hell I wasn't and I'm still passionate about answers and questioning things. So don't think a victim isn't waiting to hear what anyone who was there has to say.
So far we can't rely on LE to get it right MOO

If you mean Right to Work state yes, Nevada (Las Vegas is the city, Nevada is the state) is a Right to Work state. It's also an at-will employment state.

Matt Gutman spins the Ellen interview - https://youtu.be/8xgq1ONnPiQ
Examples, MG makes it seem as if the drilling sound was SP drilling the stairwell door shut...he then says JC was SP's first victim, which is not true - Ellen says to JC that the drilling sound turned out to be gunfire, and JC agreed...MG edits this out.

Anytime they put Gutman on a story this huge, I am automatically suspicious, jmo

You've already accused JC and SS of lying, why should they give more interviews to please CT folk? Just so they can become targets for more abuse and anger, possibly violence? As with all conspiracy theorists, there is no answer anyone can give that will satisfy them.

According to the political scientist Michael Barkun, conspiracy theories rely on the view that the universe is governed by design, and embody three principles: nothing happens by accident, nothing is as it seems, and everything is connected.[1]:3–4 Another common feature is that conspiracy theories evolve to incorporate whatever evidence exists against them, so that they become, as Barkun writes, a closed system that is unfalsifiable, and therefore "a matter of faith rather than proof".[1]:7[4]:10

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conspiracy_theory

There are many reasons why people engage in conspiracism, but when it's directed towards blaming one person (like Richard Jewell or JC), it seems more like a form of projection. Like the Salem witch trials. People strike out at someone as a way of coping with their own fears.

All JMO. It's been interesting reading up on this phenomenon. We've all engaged in a little conspiracy theory at one time or another, but some people apply it more uniformly to all kinds of events.
