Can anyone find a picture of Judy Worrell. She goes missing the exact day Jane Doe was found and went missing from California. Might be to small of a gap. It just would be interesting to see a picture of Judy.

Me too. I am not sure if this is consistent with the UID, but NamUs says (about Ms. Worrell) --
Lots of freckles on face

and

previous broken right arm (twice), previous broken leg (unknown which one)

I know the UID cannot be Elaine Yates because of the large date discrepancy, but they look so similar I can't help but point her out...

http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/490dfri.html

She is shown underneath her daughter's photo at this link, as she went missing in 1984 with her 2 daughters.

Although I know this is probably not a possibility, bump for Jane Doe.

I've learned a few new techniques in with Corel Photopaint, and have been revising a few of my reconstructions.

I’ve done a revision of my Arroyo Grande facial reconstruction, and it is a big improvement over the previous one.

I’ve sharpened the lines, and gave her give her new teeth and irises of the eyes, and a more natural looking smile. I also gave her a much more lifelike skin tone and lip color, and a slight change in hairstyle and darker hair.

I had the mod replace the images in the earlier posts.

I have a daughter who looks so much like her, however her eyes are larger than in your reconstruction. We are Eastern European ancestry

I noticed Mary Anne Wesolowski who went missing at age 13 on August 18, 1971. Something about her really reminded me of the young woman found at Arroyo Grande, but there is the question of where was she for 9 years? Maybe I am just tired and been looking at the computer for too long, but I do see a resemblance.

Hey Ambercat- I noticed that NAMUS indicates that MaryAnne's DNA samples have been taken - but that the tests are not yet complete. Once they are complete and entered into CODIS, they can see if there is a match. I, also think that there is a resemblance; especially in the shape of her eyes and bone structure. Although - MaryAnne did have scars that AGJD's autopsy didn't note. However, AGJD's autopsy and crime scene photos were made with a polaroid camera (latest technology back in 1980). And LE was certain that she would be identified quickly - faint scars may not have been noticed or deemed important since they were not part of the cause of death. JMO

Just a side note: MaryAnne's circumstance (meeting friends to swim) makes me think of Rodney Alcala as a likely perp - he was in NY off and on during that time, right?
MaryAnne could have been a runaway who headed west with a truck driver - surviving for years until 1980. There is some thinking by LE that since AGJD was placed and posed by her killer, he may have had little concern that she would be tied to him or recognized and id'd.

:eek:fftopic:

If we accept the premise that MAW was a runaway, Mary would be a pretty good possible match to this Jane Doe.

This young girl went missing in 1973 at the age of 7. LV LE have always thought that AGJD could have been 14 years old. Janice Pockett was described as having strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. Her smile indicated some significant spacing at age 7 (but, who didn't have spacing at 7, right?) which would make her a possible as a potential match.

At this time NamUS shows that DNA for Janice has yet to be competed. Does anyone know if she has been suggested before?

I saw this Garden City, Michigan child (Patricia Zentner) who was reported missing at the age of 2 in 1964. Her mother (Mildred Zentner) went missing at the same time. The father reported that he got into an argument with the mother about spanking the child. He left and when he returned - both were gone. The father claimed that a typed note was left by the mother - but that he ripped it up. He called his wife's family (who lived out of state) two weeks later to ask if they had heard from Mildred. They had not, so at that point they filed a missing persons report. Mildred and Jesse Zentner had been married 6 years in 1964.

Mildred's younger sister is still living and has given a DNA sample that is reported as submitted by NamUS. Case # 9909.

The child is so young, but her facial features, hair and eye description are a match to Arroyo Grande Jane Doe. I can't even begin to concoct an explanation about what happened or where she may have been for the next 16 years. But foul play was always suspected by the Garden City, Michigan LE. There was little reason to think that they had just left without ever contacting family again.Maybe the child was targeted and the mother killed when she was taken.

I wanted to share my thoughts with you all and see if you think this might be a possible match. I have attached links for both Patricia and Mildred Zentner.

any further word on Cynthia or Nadine? neither is listed as a rule out and the profile was last updated onn 8/16/2011.

not sure this was mentioned but the UID's nucDNA is not in Namus but even if it was, that won't help match to the MPs with mtDNA only.

I heard back from Clark County about Cynthia and Nadine.

Our friend says, "I came across two that you submitted and I never got the results back. Cynthia Gastelle who was LSA in April 1980 in Takoma Park Maryland has been found, I never found out if that meant dead or alive. Hope for the best. I re-submitted Nadine O'Dell from Inkster MI from Aug 1974 to check on her. I'll let you know."

As soon as I hear about Nadine, I will share the response.

I am adding this update that I just saw on line about Cynthia Gastelle. Not the news that we had hoped for...Cynthia Joan Gastelle, Doe Network Case File # 3010DFMD, has been identified as being Haymarket Jane Doe found on February 12, 1982 on Bull Run Mountain in Haymarket, Virginia, Doe Network Case File # 468UFVA (A WS match!)

R.I.P. Cindy 30 years later you are going home.

Now that I have a view of her teeth, I decided to do a reconstruction of AGJD.

NamUs posted another photo of Mary Wesolowski (who I think looks like this UID). In this one, she is smiling and you can see her teeth. I'm not a dentist, but I don't think the young woman found at Arroyo Grande's teeth are as crooked as Mary's appear to be. I also can't tell if she has the gap the girl from Nevada has.

Just find out that Doe Network has closed and archived - DN # 747DFCA - Teresa Louise Rains from last Friday, July 6th. Was she related to Arroyo Grande Case? Teresa looked lot similar to UID.

KLCD, the Namus page for the UID is still up and running so I doubt whe was Teresa Louise Rains.

Just find out that Doe Network has closed and archived - DN # 747DFCA - Teresa Louise Rains from last Friday, July 6th. Was she related to Arroyo Grande Case? Teresa looked lot similar to UID.

The ME in charge of this case found out from the Oakland PD that Teresa Rains' case was resolved back in 1999. I wasn't able to find out the circumstances though (i.e., alive or dead). Starburst commented on it earlier in this thread.

Here is the update regarding the possible Namus match for the above name. If true, then there are many missing persons sights that need to be updated, as she is still listed as missing on many. No other details, ie: alive or recovered remains. Thanks for all comments!

Thank you for the information. After contacting Oakland PD, I have found out that Theresa was located in 1999.

Janice Younger has been missing since July 1981. I can't find her on Doe or Charley OR Namus (!!), but she is listed here, so clearly still missing:

http://www.mshp.dps.mo.gov/CJ51/SearchAction?page=7&personType=A&county=

(Case No. 666 - (shudder.. :)

Can someone with a Classmates account try to find a photo for her? Seems like she has just fallen through the cracks somewhere :((

She wasn't in the 1980 book for Monett High School. But here is her freshman photo from the 1977 book.

After looking up her photo, it occurred to me that she resembles AGJD, so I am moving it and the subsequent posts to this thread:

Here's the side-by-side: (and keep in mind that this photo was taken in 1977).

Both have a widow's peak hairline and if you look real close at her slightly parted lips, she might have a gap between 7&8, as does AGJD.

Also, like AGJD, the columella of her nose (i.e., the partition between the nostrils) attaches well below the alae.

 Oops, I was thinking her date LKA was 1980. It was 1981, after AGJD was found. I guess because I was looking in the 1980 yearbook.

Also, according to her sister, she had a child. I haven't heard anything about AGJD having given birth.

:nevermind:

I don't know think the circumstances or facts quite match up but Sherry Jean Pickle looks an awful lot like this poor Doe & the web sleuth-artist rendering. Susan DeQuina looks like her too but her bio mentions a tattoo on her chest. I did not see their names on the rule out list that CarlK posted.

Okay, I was on Janice Younger's thread and doing some searching when I came across copies of photos that were discovered in the possession of John Smith (serial killer) when he was arrested in California back in 2003.
Something about this girl makes me see AGJD...of course, sometimes I think I just look for her subconsciously in everyone. :please:

You can't see a widow's peak, but I will say that my hubby has a slight widow's peak that his own mom didn't realize he had. So I'm gonna put this photo up for you guys to see. The photo is at the bottom of Betty Fran Smith's Charley Project profile, just scroll down (bottom, right picture). A second photo of the same girl is on the Doe Network site.
John Smith has refused to provide any information about this and another women's photo that he had when arrested. What a guy, right?
