Does it sound like maybe dad and the ' co worker ' were talking a bit and the gf got jealous ? Paranoid people are often falsely accusing others of trying to steal their man or something. So I wonder was her revenge to do something to dad by taking his baby and do something to the co worker?

Would be very interesting to know what the woman attacked with the knife had to say about any of it or what , if anything, was said to her before she started to cut her.

My first concern was that Jade said something innocently that the woman misconstrued to mean a betrayal, the woman "shot the messenger" so to speak, then went after the co-worker who "betrayed" her.

I mapped it. It's on the outskirts of some residential areas. It looks like blank, flat , bleak desert :(
 
I used mapquest to get an idea of the buildings (or lack of) on this intersection...

It looks like there is open land with some buildings, not distinguishable to me...

Then I doubt they are looking for a live 10yr after 6 days. What is the weather like there right now?

Rainbow/Wigwam has some desert patches but is primarily residential with apartments on two corners, desert on two others. It is not the boonies-- I work a block from there. There's a high school and elementary school nearby. if it is desert they are searching, it won't take long. Sounds like maybe Stokes' apt was up there, i hope, and maybe they are looking for any sign of the girl having been in the area. Lots of maybes. i'll head up there myself this afternoon to see if anything obvious is going on. There is desert area about 1 mile from that intersection which is somewhat notorious for body dumping but this is a very specifically named intersection. The search group must have info to have directed them there. Let's hope! Temps have been in the high 40's, low 50's with mid 30's at night. Liveable but really- too many people live in this area for a girl to go unnoticed outside.

Thank you for the info. That is a little more encouraging. If I wasn't on the other coast I'd join you in going to the site. Jade is so precious and she needs to be found soon.

However... Night time on the desert gets very cold... (For us western south coasters, anyway... :cold:)

I figured that had to be where BS's apartment probably was, because that is far from the outlet mall. Couldn't figure out why they'd go there or why they were told to go there.

Sadly, it is not unusual to find dead children in Dumpsters around here. Seems it happens all the time. So, that would make me think they have searched Dumpsters, or at least considered that angle. Rebeccaeee is right, though, there are so many cameras, anyone dumping anything would be seen. And she's right that LVMPD is probably doing a lot behind the scenes they're not saying anything about.

Haven't heard of any searches for her. There is a group in town that does searches for people. They did one a few months ago for missing cab driver Keith Goldberg and one last month for missing man Robert Elsworth.

BBM: That depends on if anyone has had the foresight to look at the tapes in those cameras. Unless the cameras are hooked to a live monitor and someone is sitting there watching them. I doubt if they have them connected to an outside dumpster though, more likely they are monitoring the inside of the casinos and hotels or the entrances and exits.

If the trash moves that quickly, and if a person timed it right, it could be done and the dumpster emptied when no one would notice or pay attention. Only thing is, how could an average sized woman lift the body of a 10 y.o. up and over the side of a dumpster? She would have to have some help, I would think.

If she told them to go search her apartment, then my guess is there is nothing there to find. Which makes me even more afraid that little girl has been handed off to someone else. SCARY!!

From pics it looks like BS is a decent sized woman and little Jade is so tiny.
