That is an interesting question, however, I personally believe the SUV is mere coincidence. After all, it doesnt show up until three minutes after Steven parks nor does he appear to acknowledge its presence. Also, that street is a culdesac. It looks as though the suv merely passed the house it was going to and turned around at the end of the culdesac so as to park legally on the correct side of the road. People do it all the time, especially when its so close to a culdesac.

Also, if you watch the second video closely you can see in the vans reflection that he walks past the corner home. Certainly he appears to recognize the street name as he passes in his car. This rules out the connecting street with a different name as his final destination. This leaves four houses on the side of the street he crosses to. He had a clear idea of his destination but it appears it is his first time there.

This is supposedly a 55+ community. Who would Steven know who is over 55? What circumstances would lead him to make contact with this demographic?

Also, what is Steven looking at in his hands as he walks by? Is he texting? Is it a piece of paper? The video is too poor quality to know but I would say he is looking at SOMETHING.

Also, I think the mortgage point you brought up is because that home is for sale which has been linked through google maps.

Now that's strange. If you google "preferred mortgage" "anthem parkway" and Henderson, you get a street address of the mortgage company being at 2639 Savannah Springs Avenue. If you go to the street view, it takes you to Anthem Parkway. If you look at it, there is a wall between the sidewalk and the rear of the homes.

So Steven could not have been cutting through a parking lot to get to Anthem Parkway. I can only conclude based on what we have been told, looking at the video, and this street view, that he made a left onto Evening Lights AVenue. This was deep in the development so there is no way he was going to walk out to a main road. He was either meeting someone who lived there (unlikely as he would have parked in front of their home) or he was walking to a predetermined pick up point a block or two away from where he abandoned the car.

That's just my point - it's not deep in the development at all. It appears you can enter on Wild Iris Terrace right off of Anthem Parkway. That has me thinking now that the location of the car may have been nothing more than a matter of convenient opportunity!

I am not aware of him having any experience working with mortgages and considering he could not pay his own rent, he would not be looking to buy a home.

One point about his meeting whomever. If someone did him harm within the complex, they would have been crazy to not have removed the car. So I do not see this as Steven going to someone's home with the intention to stay there. Perhaps meet someone then go somewhere else, but he did not want the car to be found near his final destination.

We have hired a PI. She won't take our money anymore because there are no leads.
We have used sent dogs. Both in Stven's car and in the neighborhood. They found nothing.
We have canvassed the whole neighborhood with flyers in hand several times.
The police have had helecopters, atvs and dogs search the area and the mountains beyond.
We will get the laptop back soon. Do you all know of somewhere that will do a magnetic level search on a hard drive or fingerprint a car?
Here's the address where Steven's car was abandoned: 2647 Savannah Springs Ave. Henderson Nev
As for Steven's car being a hybrid, if you couldn't tell I don't know what kind of car Steven has, but he did tell me he could use regular gas or a different kind that he could only find at a few gas stations.

Thank you, Naegle.

Here's a satellite image of it: http://snurl.com/u27s5

At first, I thought maybe he used that address to get closer to the mountain...but as I panned around and aoomed in and out, I see he was actually in the center of the development.

He'd have had to walk along Anthem Pkwy a couple of miles, to get to open ground. Evening Lights takes you to the golf course -- but that's surrounded by other homes. You'd have to loop around all of those streets, walk through people's yards, and try to the avoid the cement walls, if you wanted to get to the mountain.

We also have to remember that the satellite image isn't fresh; where we see empty space, could now have homes on it. You can see a big shopping center was being built to the west, when Google flew over; why not leave a car there?

I'm thinking two cars pulled in together (the other knew the area, or had a GPS)....and one car got left.

Someone else with better perspective, will be able to see if he goes that direction in the video. Wish I lived in Vegas; I'd go drive by those homes, and see which ones were occupied.

I'm really starting to think that he went to that street on purpose.

You need to get a copy of the Las Vegas paper, find a story about a local crime, and contact that reporter. Tell them that you're being "stonewalled" by the police. Tell them that no one vanishes into thin air, print out all the info we're digging up, show them the map. If there's any secrets, mention them.

And no one vanishes right in the middle of a huge subdivision.

There's NO excuse for the police not fingerprinting that car! It costs very little. At least you'd find out if it's been wiped clean, if Steven's fingerprints are "on top", or if someone else's appear.

Sounds like the car's a Flex-Fuel.

The business sounds interesting, because there's so very few others in Anthem....but likely is nothing. It might not even exist anymore. There's another address in Henderson, but who knows which is the current one?
Here's their website: http://www.preferredservices.net/
It's full of blah blah blah, stock images anyone can use. Almost every one of those pictures, on any page, is one I've seen used elsewhere. They're not "real" pictures of the people involved.
Website domain registration:
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/preferredservices.net
But no one should contact that person; it's a job for that PI.
Lots of home-based "mortgage" businesses sprung up in the past few years, then got into big trouble when the bubble burst.

Now this is strange:
same owner has an almost-identical business, using some of the same pictures:

Actually if you view the entirety of Sun Anthem City, this address was deep in the development. While it was a block from Anthem Parkway, it was on the southern side of the development and quite a distance from the exterior main roads leading out of the community.

I haven't read the whole thread, so some of this may be covered.

I've watched both videos. Am I right to assume both cameras were on the same property? It appears that this home is on the corner of Savannah Springs and Evening Lights Ave.

You clearly see Steven slow down at EL Ave., then drive to the end of SS Ave. He then walks back and turns left on EL Ave. He crosses the street on an angle.

The white SUV looks suspicious to me. It appears to stop (but the video ends right there) and park right in across the end of somebody's driveway. It is also right where EL Ave meets SS Ave. I thought the lines on the road were a crosswalk, and there might be a stop sign, but there isn't. The lines on the road are a speed bump.

The speed bump may be why Steven slowed down at that spot.

Also wanted to mention that Webb being in Vegas too gave me a real hinky feeling.

And... bingmaps.com shows a white SUV in the driveway of the last house on SS Ave., but I have no idea how old the satellite images are.

I'll finish reading the thread now. ;)

--------------------

Just wanted to add... there is a counsellor/therapist (woman) listed on the fixmyfamily.com website that lives on Evening Lights Ave. Could Steven have been attending there for some help?

.

OK guys-I am looking at Preferred Mortgage Services at 2639 Savannah Springs-think I should assume they have been canvassed or I should email them and see if he had an interview or appointment??

Please do email them. I know some of the family mentioned trying to find home based businesses that might be hiring in the area. That could be one.

If anyone's going to call or email, they shouldn't ask about Steven. They should just ask if there are any job openings...and sound interested.

Are these businesses in that area? Sorry I don't quite understand what you're suggesting the PI look at here...

Sometimes I don't know what I'm seeing, either ;)

They are two doors away from where Steven's car was parked,
at least two mortgage "service" companies, doing business from
a private residence....

I was just curious whether Steve had reason to go there (for a
job, as a free-lance process server, whatever). Just
brainstorming.

Wonder if he was there to meet someone with a mortgage/foreclosure or realty company (or someone who claimed to be) about washing the windows on the houses that were up for sale?

It could that or like the other poster said, maybe he was thinking a job with the home mortgage company.

I sent them an email:

It certainly seems like there are a number of home based businesses there.
Has the family or the p.i. interviewed these?

Wonderful email!
As always you do a superb job, believe09.

A friend of Stevens emailed the girl on CL that was looking for a Steven that taught her to play blackjack. Here's the reply:

Hi,

Unfortunately he is not that Steven on the picture that I am looking for.... and unluckily I do not recall seeing him around that area.
Hope you will find him soonest!

With Best Regards,
Aniko

I believe there is no question that I live closest to this. If you look on an aerial map of that area I live to the North and West from the Savannah address on the other side of the Executive airport. I'll drive over there and see what I can see. Hope I don't get pulled over for nosing around. . .Leaving now.

Good job.

Let us know if it bounces OR if it's ignored. Ignored is hinky ;)

Do we have a bail fund here? ;)
