This is incredible work on everyone's part! I've had my fingers and toes crossed for months. Now to get justice for Tammy...

I don't have the words to describe my feelings.

RIP Tammy - I am so glad to be able to call you by your name. I hope that they can find the evil beast who was responsible for your death.

Such mixed feelings. I was sure about Tammy, but I'm sorry we couldn't find her alive.

Sorry to ask such a basic question, which I am sure I should know the answer to, but how old was Tammy when she died?

Tammy died a week after her 16th birthday.

Isn't that just so sad. She had her whole life and meet the wrong guy and it seems like no one at home cared and now she is gone. And not only gone but gone and nameless for 35 years. Heartbreaking.

Thank you so much for all you do here.

sorry has been a crazy day personally for me in addition to the presser.
Her sister was told she was reported missing; she even got updates. Back then they either refused to take reports of teens calling them runaways or if they did take them; they were purged. I don't know if they can say for certain if one was or was not filed. Totally sick over the presser & how inaccurate it was & how her sister was made out to be. Tammy is & was always loved by her family!

Wait wait OMG she's been given her name back!!!!! THANK YOU to everyone of you and especially Carl K who so relentlessly worked on this!!! OUTSTANDING!!!!

Oh my gosh. I have followed this case(well, lurked) long before I even started Websleuths. I was 99% sure that this was Tammy.

You all have done such an amazing thing, I'm really in awe. Of course, I'm sad for Tammy, but I think this case shows that no matter how cold the case, it can be solved. Again, AMAZING job! :happydance:

Andrea would do it for me.

Also Annandale Jane Doe, our lovely Christmas Tree Lady. And Lyle Stevik.

Oh, hell, I wish we could find them all and send them home.

It breaks my heart that two of our most known cases could've been solved if either family had reported them as missing (Cali Doe) or LEO had taken that family seriously (Grateful Doe). I often think of that poor boy in Maryland who died of hypothermia and is assumed to have been a junkie. It just breaks my heart he's not been identified either.

Congrats Carl on the match! Much respect to Tammys friend that got the ball rolling and to all Websleuths members that care so much for the unidentified.
