In articles posted above, it is said CO's make like $24,000 a year. Can that be true?

Palmer's base salary was little over 70,000 last year, but with overtime and performance based raise, he made another 20,000. Palmer made little over 90,000. from the state alone in 2014.

There's a picture. I don't know how to post it. It has racette,cuomo and other officials walking. The caption said touring, I believe. I'm wondering if the guy in the background, walking with them, is Palmer. I was trying to figure out when that picture was taken versus when Palmer was placed on leave.

Tillie was praying that Matt and Sweat didn't kill anyone, and thinks her prayers were answered. I bet she WAS praying about that. Overlooks her agreement with the two to have her own husband killed, but maybe that doesn't count to Tillie because she didn't actually go through with it or anything.

How can you fill out applications etc for a job if you can't read or write..and then don't they have some type of interview process with possible testing for IQ/Psychotic habits etc? Guess he could have filled it all out at home and Tillie did it all for him or on the computer but GEEZ. Not being able to read or write would be a hinderance in any job I would think.

Hasn't there always been stories of rampant drugs in the prisons? The drugs don't surprise me at all... I want to know about how DS and RM escaped.

ITA. Drugs are everywhere, especially in NY prisons. My gf lived behind one. She kepted finding tennis balls in her back yard. She mowed over one of them in found a clear plastic bag in it. It was heroin. Supposedly prison friends would throw a tennis balls into the grounds of the prison. Haha

I don't think the pills were in lieu of killing him. Lyle told Matt Lauer that when Matt and Sweat told her to pick them up, Tillie told them she never goes anywhere without her husband. So they allegedly told her they'd give her pills to give to him which would knock him out (so he would be asleep and she could leave without him to pick them up) and then they'd return to kill him. Lyle claims Tillie decided she didn't want anything to happen to him, so she backed out at the last minute.

Thank you for explaining that! I couldn't figure out how giving him pills helped in any way. Now I get it. Also, I could barely understand a word he spoke. His speech or dialect or something was difficult for next to understand.

But I still don't understand why they would bother to kill Lyle.

I was under the impression that only RM had the cutout from behind his bed? (this was
stated by a guest contributor on CNN) hmmm... I guess they both did. that makes more since... I kept wondering how DS would get into RM's room each night.

How did they get the green paint to touch up cutout? wouldn't the cell have had a strong odor off fresh paint.

I think it was all part of their scam to keep Tillie hooked on their plan. I don't think they intended to once they got out. Doing so would add an extra layer of complication and detection. I don't think they would have made it to mexico in her vehicle. JMO

IMO, I don't think the breakout occurring on a Friday night into Saturday was a random choice. My thought is that offing Lyle served one major purpose: He was the only one likely to immediately notice Tillie missing on a weekend. Perhaps without him around to connect the dots (which may be giving him way more credit than was due) they potentially have a whole 2 days before people back at CCF notice Tillie and Lyle haven't shown up for work and figure out who they are with

Me either. Seems like a huge risk to stop anywhere after they were free. Only thing I can come up with is it was never the plan. It was a plan as far as Tillie. Once she committed to the offing of Lyle it guaranteed them her silence. IMO

Exactly.... all systems were go, when she was leaving work on Friday night, I guess
she didn't think she'd be immediately connected to DS and RM, and killing him would buy them at least a few days.

They must have told her Friday that their dry-run on Thursday was a success.
