I think this is another giraffe than April or Oliver. However, this giraffe is definitely saying, "No soup for you!"

It was clear to all watching, the evening keeper check was cut short by April. Her behavior is very off from normal demeanor; this is to be expected. Mammary development photos were not captured, but udders reported as full. It should not be much longer!
We hope to have an official text alert system available for subscription tomorrow. Subscribing will get you a Labor Alert text, but also exclusive texts, info, photo links, and calf updates over the coming months. Much of the content will be exclusive to the text alert community. A portion of the fee will get kicked back to the Giraffe Conservation Foundation for wild conservation of giraffes.

Tune in tomorrow morning to Good Morning America for a live segment from the Giraffe Barn. GMA crews and Toys R Us will be on site for the LAST media interview before we have a calf (if one is not born this evening)!

What did miss april do during the visit?

I am telling ya guys I would be more than a bitc## carrying around 150 kbs !! I have had times where I wished giraffes sleep!
 
This calf is going to be so well-developed when it finally pops out, it'll probably land on all fours, skip around the pen and demand to see the lettuce menu.

To think when I first turned in well-over a month ago I was actually so sympathetic remembering my final third trimester days of sleepness nights, constant heartburn, blobby feet and contractions waving across my torso...
as we all thought April was on the verge.
March 2017: the longest "VERGE" ever!

Oh good lord. So how do they make a giraffe breasts get larger? Boy the internet sure does give some whack jobs a voice.

I am certainly not an expert on breasts (!) human or giraffe (!) but IMO that is absurd!



Do I think he has exploited this - more and more everyday- mo but this would be a cruel hoax

April was the name I gave my first dog (Collie) so I know Miss APril is not a liar!!

She still has an aura of elegance about her as she struggles to lay down as well as getting up.

I was thinking that yesterday - she is very regal while he is just a rascal!! Typical!!!

I saw a replay video of the two of them together yesterday and they were fine and had a lot of fun. I do not understand why they dont let them hang out together for periods of time with both pens theirs?


They played! IMO some of the delay might be from the storm and resultant confinement- it seems a bit of motion might move stuff along.

I was sure I was going to wake up to a giraffe calf hobbling around, but instead it's still April doing the hobbling! Another day of chances to catch the birth happening live. :)

I just remembered that last night I dreamed I was wearing giraffe leggings. Like, your legs would look like giraffe legs. Got my daughter a pair too. Honestly very sad they're not for real. :D
