A bit of info I found about Gov. Eliot Spitzer's wife -
Silda Wall Spitzer .. and some of the "good works" she'll be giving up when he resigns. So very sad for her on so many fronts!
Personally - I hope Silda kicks his sorry a$$ to the curb. She & her daughters didn't deserve this despicable & humiliating treatment.

As First Lady of New York,
Silda Wall Spitzer draws on her life experiences as a mother, lawyer, nonprofit founder, wife, daughter, sister, advocate for youth volunteering and service, as well as her passions for art, literature and history.
She is working in partnership with her husband, Governor Eliot Spitzer, in advancing his vision for building "One New York," and undertaking initiatives to complement the state's revitalization and the building of a sustainable economy and secure future for all New Yorkers.
The First Lady's "Live New York initiative", formally launched at the 'Live New York Summit' in September 2007 at SUNY Cortland, focuses on attracting and retaining the next generation of New Yorkers.
The summit drew over 500 enthusiastic key stakeholders from across the state and addressed topics, including competing in a global, knowledge-based economy; connecting universities to communities; ensuring that entrepreneurs get the capital they need; and creating workforce development opportunities for young New Yorkers.
The first lady chairs the New York State Commission on National and Community Service, which is committed to building strong service programs, expanding the volunteer base, and promoting the vision of One New York though community building and civic engagement.
The First Lady's work with the Commission complements her Live New York initiative, which idenitifies service and volunteerism as critical factors in the next generation's perception of what makes communities attractive and desirable places to live and work.
She is spearheading a 'Greening the Mansion' initiative and the related 'Green Residential Building' initiative to complement the governor's efforts to reduce New York's energy consumption by 15% by the year 2015.
She is also committed to building voting and civic participation among women and served as a driving force behind The Eleanor Roosevelt Legacy Committee's Women's Vote Project in 2006.
The first lady earned her juris doctor from Harvard Law School and a bachelor's degree, summa *advertiser censored* laude, from Meredith College. She began her legal career with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, specializing in mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance. Subsequently, she joined The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. as a member of its international legal group.
She is founding chair (emeritus) of Children for Children, a nonprofit organization that creates opportunities for young people from all backgrounds to grow involved through volunteering and service from an early age. Children for Children's service-learning and giving programs engaged over 35,000 youth in hands-on service in 2006, with a projected goal of over 50,000 in 2007. The organization has placed over $2 million in resources in underserved schools, allowed kids to raise funds to provide insecticide-treated bed nets for children in malaria-endemic countries, and collected hundreds of thousands of books to build classroom libraries.
In 2007, Charity Navigator awarded Children for Children its highest four-star rating and included the organization among its Top 10 Charities Worth Watching nationwide in the under-$2 million budget category.
In addition, she is a founding co-chair of Project Cicero, the annual New York City book drive that builds classroom libraries in underserved schools. She has served on the New York Blue Ribbon Commission on Youth Leadership; the advisory board of NYCharities.org; and as a trustee for her children's school.
She was a board member of The Children's Museum of Manhattan from 1995-98, where she sat on its Executive Committee and chaired its Program Committee.
The first lady and her husband, Governor Eliot Spitzer, have three daughters aged 13, 15 and 17.
