I wonder, what would Jennifer Ramsaran want now?

If Jennifer knows how little noise her family is making for her, how heartbroken she must be?

(I know, I should think more, and feel less)

Could someone fill me in on where this sauna is... Is it public (it sounds like it is)

does GR belong to a specific fitness club... Is it affiliated with his marathon training?

Did JR belong to this club, too?

could she have met someone there?

Just some random questions...

and request for clarification...

TIA :seeya:

The way I'm reading KF's post the sauna is at the "Y"?. I could be wrong though.

<snip> and yes he has many different Alibi's ... one being that he was on his computer working during the two hours in question that Jen was in her home getting dressed and ready to go shopping. He then went for a run, was seen on camera's at the Y - and it got really cold outside which is when he want into the sauna and ran into an old friend of his whom he hadn't seen in years - he never uses that sauna, the chances of his friend being there were slim to none at the same time - and yes this friend is a state trooper <snip>

Two hours in that morning are in question?

Well, once again I'm wobbling on the fence. You do all make good points. This is one reason why people shouldn't be so darn QUIET during situations such as these. The less info they put out, the more speculation and suspicion arises. Don't they know this?? I just don't get it. This goes for both family and LE. It can't be good for anyone to have all these questions floating around in the air. And it's perfectly natural for people like us, and people in her community, to wonder and to want to figure things out and fill in the holes. The speculation is gonna happen. So why not make every effort to put all the correct information out there? Then maybe, just MAYBE, someone can come up with a good idea of where to find her. [[Family, if you are reading here, please consider this!!!]]

As for the gas... I'm a bit confused, as well, about why that was even brought up. I wonder if the cops asked GR this question, and so he felt it must be an important tidbit and that's why he put it in his post. If cops asked before the car was found, it would determine whether or not she might be stopping for gas, how far she'd be able to travel, etc. If it was after the car was found, it would determine if she'd driven around town a lot before going missing, or went straight from her house to where the car was left. And if the tank was pretty much full when the car was found, they'd want to know whether it was filled up by Jennifer for the purpose of getting out of dodge, so to speak. So yeah, I think GR just picked up on it during police questioning, and included it in his post. Just a guess, of course.

What a very good spot. Maybe there's something in her phone records that puts two hours in question?

Then again, I'm presuming this is coming from GR to KF and then to us. But it's mysterious.

Sounds like something was different that day, that GR's day played out differently than usual, IMO.

If I had to guess, Jennifer would want to know that everyone is doing everything possible to get her back home, leaving no stone unturned. If she left willingly, due to overwhelming stress or whatever, maybe she would want to hear, "Come back home. We know you've caused a lot of people to worry, but it's okay. Come home anyway, please!" I'm sure she would want to hold her children in her arms, and say "it's okay, Mommy's here."

The kids likely left for school, by 8:30 am. Then, it would have been just JR and GR in the house, until Jennifer reportedly left, at 10:30 am.

Its news to me, that any particular time was in question. I'm assuming this time in Q refers to that morning, between 8:30 and 10:30 am.

Now having said all that..... if she did indeed run off, she still NEEDS to be found ASAP. Because you can't know for sure until you actually do know for sure. Her family and friends shouldn't have to live in limbo wondering whether or not she's alive.

Two hours in that morning are in question?

When employees work from home... Are they required to log on to their computers a certain amount per day/week/etc....

I imagine there is some kind of accountability involved..

I also imagine there are ways of "getting around this"...

but I am thinking with a large, strong company such as IBM, there would be uniform accountability measures...

Could GR's work logs have been reviewed by LE to account for 8:30 a.m. To 10:30a.m. the morning JR disappeared?

"to answer a question - she had changed her hair the day she went missing - she had tried to strip some of the red out of it, and cut it herself a bit, her husband found the stripping kit, and hair pieces in the bathroom the night she disappeared. this though i'm not sure if LE wants out there, but i did post this publicly.

his family, and her family have asked him not to be public and speak with the press...they are all trying to do what is best for the kids - and them learning all this stuff about their mom isn't healthy until they at least know if she is alive or dead.
that is why there have been no press conferences.

I understand there might be other things it might not be so good to hear, but this doesn't read terribly well - it would be hard for her kids to hear that she changed her hair?

Also, I don't understand the family requesting no press conversation. I understand if it's LE, but I don't know why he would feel he had to do as his family asks when it's his own wife who is missing. If he doesn't feel comfortable speaking to the press that's fine, but this seems like an odd excuse. Also, I think you can be prominent about looking for someone without kids having to hear details. As I said, it's fine if that's not how they want to play it, but this just seems like odd reasoning.

and because she was such an excellent mom for so many years - people can't imagine her doing this. i couldn't at first either. but now i am sure of it. and i came to that conclusion after only a few hours after speaking to GR the first time.

I am deeply confused by this paragraph.

i believe she was taking money little by little for the last few months.
the day she left she had 500 in her pocket for shopping.

This is useful to know, and I had wondered if something like this was the case. It does make leaving seem like more of a possibility.

but she did make mistakes. the phone for instance. the car was found much faster then she thought it would be.

I don't understand - what is the mistake with the phone? And I wonder how we know how fast she was hoping the car would be found?

I am very stuck on that same proverbial fence.

I keep in the back of my mind that GR and KR are in daily contact, and I don't know if GR feeds KF what to say to me, knowing that I will put it on this forum (except for what I'm specifically asked NOT to put here for the sake of JR's and GR's children). She has told me that GR has given her permission to share information, and she has told me this. But I don't know if *all* of it is being screened first. KF appears to be very kind and appears to want JR's case to be resolved as much as anyone here.

That said there are still many things I question. Assuming there are no more than two bathrooms in the home, why did it take all day and night to find cut locks of JR's hair in the bathroom sink, along with a hair coloring kit or remnants thereof, if there are 3 kids and 1 father left in the house? Darn near impossible if there is just one bathroom in the house. If there are 3, then it would seem more possible.

It appears that KF and others have helped husband/dad see the light and consider that his wife's leaving them may have been preplanned, deliberate, even though he had recently allowed himself to examine the past-it had not been a possibility in his mind. Now, he understands:

“As the last few days have been blurred into one long nightmare I have finally let myself reflect upon the past a bit, something I normally don’t allow myself to do,” the husband, an avid running enthusiast and marathon competitor, wrote on Facebook.

“Jen would NEVER EVER leave our kids and I willingly,” the posting continued. “She has never left home and not keep in contact within 2-3 hours via phone or text. She would never miss our daughters’ Winter Concert last night or her birthday tomorrow. I hate to say this but I have given up hope that she’ll be found safe and sound
. The kids and I miss her so much, her laugh, her quirkiness, just everything. Today I went to Walmart and I grabbed my cell to call home and ask her a question about which item I should purchase and reality smacked me in the face and I started crying uncontrollably! [/B]That was rough! I am strong and I know the kids and I will get through this.”

Route 23 is a rural road, and not busy. It pretty much connects one rural town to another. Two lane road. Yes, it's likely that someone would have notice a car pulled over. I see it all the time. But Jennifer's car was found in a parking lot off of Route 23, not on Route 23 itself.

The "why not drive further" is a good question.

I'm beginning to think that maybe she met someone at those apartments, but I'm sure LE has already looked into it since it would seem to be obvious. Some local crimes occur by residents there.

concerning older Town & Country vans: they are notorious for bad transmissions and electricial systems. I am wondering if a check engine light came on- or worse the tranny went. The transmission going on this van throws/drops the van into "limp mode"- meaning 2nd gear- allowing the driver to "limp" to the side of the road- or to a safe area to stop, etc. without damage to the engine. It is scary, going highway speed - suddenly lights go crazy inside, the gas pedal drops to the floor- and the van rapidly slows down to second gear speed. Has anything come up about the van's mechanical condition/driveability since her dad found it?

ETA: there is no advance warning to this happening-

I don't understand - what is the mistake with the phone?

I think she meant, about the phone, that JR and/or her new guy must've tossed the phone out the window, not thinking it would be found so quickly.... because the phone would have all her data in it, i.e. evidence of the amount of time she spent online, etc etc. Incriminating evidence suggesting Jennifer ran off. So she made a mistake in not doing a better job of getting rid of the phone.

Someone upthread here had suggested that maybe the phone was tossed from the car and meant to go into the creek/river, and didn't quite make it in.

I don't know the date of dad's posting (above), but obviously it must have been posted on his FB prior to his contact with KF.

I work from home a day or two per week on average, and moreso if the weather up here prevents me from getting to the office. It's an on-your-honor type system. As long as the work gets done, it doesn't matter if we do it from a hammock in the back yard. That said, I imagine other companies aren't as laid back as mine is. Not sure what IBM's policy is, but it is a very large company, and working from home saves companies a lot of money. Also would depend on whether you're a salaried or hourly employee. I would guess that GR is not hourly, but I can't say for sure.

Where is the 8:30-10:30 questioned time frame coming from? I've seen it posted here a couple of times and it's making me scratch my head.

There were two hours during which JR was getting ready to go shopping and GR was working on his computer. Is that what's in question?

it's an iphone, isn't it? It can be wiped- I can't imagine just throwing such an expensive phone out that can be erased. I would think if it was her- she would simply wipe it, not toss it.

Yes, this is correct. According to KF (and possibly/probably GR), the phone was not meant to be recovered (ie. it was meant to fall into the Canasawacta Creek, below the road, rather than on the road (Rte. 23) where it was found.
