Found Deceased NY - Jennifer Ramsaran, 36, Chenango County, 11 Dec 2012 - #10

I was cleaning some pictures out of my phone and I found this one if it works. I took it in late January about 3 miles from where Jen was found at the intersection of the CCC truck trail and North Rd. as you can see not much snow even in the hills at this time.

I wonder what kind of evidence LE could have been looking for out on 23. Tyre tracks? Footprints? Items of clothing? Cold weather might have preserved them, but hasn't there been a melt since?

I know here in Germany, tyre tracks get frozen beneath snow, but once it melts, it's just mush. Could there be anything like that still there, or has the thaw really set in?

Maybe they were looking for discarded id, like credit cards, debit card, drivers liscence or purse items or maybe a purse or wallet? Who knows, but there must have been a tip or maybe they are just following up on the searching because the snow is gone now. I highly doubt they would tell anyone anything about what was found, if anything. There is probably a good reason for the silence. I just hope they found something they can use with fingerprints or id of the perp on it! I hope they are getting closer to solving this!

It seems like Jennifer would have had to have been wrapped in something (plastic tablecloth, tarp, shower curtain) to be transported to Center Road -- so whatever was used would have had to be discarded.

Unless she was clothed when taken there (unlikely, I think)...but those clothes would have had to be discarded as well, if that was the case. Or even if that weren't the case, if the black jacket and blue/purple top were found hanging in her closet, that might be problematic for someone...

Anything used to restrain her -- duct tape, handcuffs...

Well, before long, there will be lots of people out riding their horses in that area and maybe one of the riders will find something of evidence. Horseback is a great way to notice things cause of the slow speed and its easier to see things when you are higher up off the ground. Lots of horses in that area.

It is hard to believe that Jennifer still does not have a VOICE!

It is beautiful weather in Florida...It was cold and windy yesterday...But today was wonderful..I took my 7 year old grandson to a Local Spring Time Parade and Jublilee in the Park...Our spring flowers are in full bloom and the trees have such beautiful bright green leaves that are just now budding out. I Love spring time in North Florida....But all of the pollen does Not agree with me!

I thought about Jennifer's children today, and it just broke my heart that they will NEVER get to share such experiences with their beautiful Mother!

Do any of you Locals know if GR allows the three children to spend ANY time with Jennifer's parents and her sister's family? I pray that the children get a chance to grieve with their grandparents and aunt.

Have Her parents returned to Arizona? Does her sister Joann and her children live close by? Do the children have any contact with their cousins? Or do they just visit GR's parents? Is GR an only child or does he have siblings?

Well, before long, there will be lots of people out riding their horses in that area and maybe one of the riders will find something of evidence. Horseback is a great way to notice things cause of the slow speed and its easier to see things when you are higher up off the ground. Lots of horses in that area.

Ive been thinking that maybe they wouldnt have wanted the general public to search because of a good chance of someone who knows the perpetrator or the perp themselves maybe being there to take part and therefore if evidence was found, it would have been destroyed or not turned over to LE on purpose?

If I were Jennifer's parents, I would be sticking right there next door to GR. I'm sure he appreciates their help with caring for the kids, and may need more help in the near future.

No worries there .. remember GR found Jen’s phone while searching alone the day after Jen failed to come home .. he is great at handing over evidence!

Seriously though, the missing persons cases that I have followed on WS have all involved public searches. LE stayed with family/close friends in the search parties if that was deemed necessary, but the searches still happened.

horsenaround60, using that logic, JR may still be laying out on Center Rd. Hunters and other outdoors persons; hikers, fishermen, horseback riders, etc., by far are the locators of remains and other significant items in missing/murdered persons investigations.
