I am just posting to let you all know I think of Jennifer daily...

I have just run out of things to say...

Thank you to you dedicated Jennifer Supporters for keeping this thread strong!

:gthanks:

That's how I feel, Clue... I just don't know what to do at this point other than hope when they said they were working on her case, they meant it. I think of Jennifer every day too, and I'm so grateful to those locals who are doing what they can. I'm looking forward to seeing the signs.

I'm worrying. Trusting in the authorities to do their duty though. For now. I have some plans in place if they don't. I can't help it. I'm a worrier.

I really hope that somehow, Jennifer's children can get to know how many people are rooting for their Mom. And because of that, for them too. I think everyone on this thread would agree that Jennifer was a devoted Mom who would want her children's wellbeing kept foremost in people's mind - above and beyond any concern for herself.

I know I think about them a lot. Those photos Bearangel linked us to; I felt so sad, knowing Jennifer has been deprived of all the pleasure of taking her children to events like that, and that she'll never see them grow up. For her sake, and theirs, I hope they are loved and cherished just as much as they would have been if Jennifer was still with us.

And whoever took Jennifer away from then needs to be caught, quickly.

So do you just have to rely on local papers to find out about local crime? And if they don't report, you just rely on the local grapevine?

Now we have been linked to all the local photos, I'm even more surprised about the lack of info actually. I live in a farming community too, and the farmers are very concerned about any crimes - especially machinery thefts - in the area. Some of those machines cost an absolute fortune. Our LE slaps posters up in the local supermarket, the minute anything goes missing! And our fire service takes photos of every incident and puts them on display outside their building. It's a great way to let everyone know if there has been a suspicious fire, and get information.

Yes the grapevine, everyone knows everyone so word travels fast. But it looks to outsiders like a low crime area. And its still a injustice since they have the website to post stolen missing property, unsolved crimes and they just dont. I cant figure it out.

According to the latest statistics issued by the FBI, in 2011 New Berlin had 1 violent crime, 1 aggravated assault, 22 property crimes, 10 burglaries, 11 larceny/thefts and one motor vehicle theft.

No murders, rapes or robberies.

The reports aren't issued until October the next year it seems, so 2012 figures won't be released until October this year.

It does specify New Berlin Town. It would need somebody good at math to compare the New Berlin Town population of 1,661 and its crime figures, with other crime figures for similar-sized towns. To see if it is a high or low rate.

However many crimes there are though, you'd never know from looking at the Sheriff's website!

Actually, now the FBI's confusing me too. Why don't they include aggravated assault under violent crime? It sounds like a violent crime to me.

Stopping in. Locals is everything as quiet there as it is here? Feels like things are going cold. :(

Hi All,
Just a thought and please let me know if I am wrong. In regards to the DA's post. Would the matter or Could the matter be foremost on their minds if they didn't have a suspect in mind?? Would they even be involved yet if there wasn't something to be "moving as fast as they can"on?
Trying to hold on to hope that this case is being worked on. Bbrrrrr

There's a great article here by a former FBI man who is now a university teacher, academic and author. It's long but contains a really interesting list of dos and dont's. I really hope Jennifer's case is getting the benefit of an excellent investigation like the one outlined. Because people need to know..

What happened to Jennifer?

I especially like the fourth bullet point down on the 'Do' list.

Not sure if already posted Joe Mahoney has a new article today on Jennifer and awaiting toxocology results.

It’s been more than two months since the unclothed body of Chenango County mother Jennifer Ramsaran was found off Center Road in the rural town of Pharsalia.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office says it is awaiting toxicology results from the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s office, which performed an autopsy after the corpse was discovered Feb. 26. Ramsaran, 36, had been reported missing Dec. 11 by her husband, Ganesh “Remy” Ramsaran, who has said he used GPS technology to locate her cell phone in Plymouth on Dec. 12.

FYI....

Zweibel has posted an incredibly thorough list of media reports for Jennifer on the Jennifer Ramsaran Media Thread!

I believe that the amazing Imamaze already posted it there... But it never hurts to double check...

Oh whoops, too late! But I've asked for it to be added to the bottom of my post, so they'll all be kept together. Hopefully, one day soon we'll have so many media articles they can go all over the place.

At least now we know there could be a good reason for this waiting, but it doesn't make it any easier. I can't even think what Jennifer's loved ones are going through.

Blue is my favourite colour now, and will be until it is known what happened to Jennifer. Here's a beautiful blue ribbon tree for her. Wish they could start growing in New Berlin too.

It’s been more than two months since the unclothed body of Chenango County mother Jennifer Ramsaran was found off Center Road in the rural town of Pharsalia.

Perhaps the most seasoned forensic pathologist I have ever interviewed is Dr. Michael Baden. For 25 years, until his recent retirement, he served as the top forensic expert for the state police. He has also been retained as a forensic expert in numerous high-profile cases, including the murder trial of O.J. Simpson, the prosecution of Marlon Brando’s son, Christian Brando, on a homicide charge; and the investigation into rape allegations against NBA superstar Kobe Bryant, among others.

I reached out to Baden earlier this week and explained to him what I knew of the status of the Ramsaran investigation, in which a cause of death has yet to be announced. Baden advised that such a long delay is not unheard of, especially in a case in which the corpse was near a wooded area and thus exposed to wildlife for many weeks.

“Where there has been decomposition of the body, it can sometimes be tricky to find out the cause of death,” he said.

One factor working in favor of determining the cause of death, Baden pointed out, is that the body was outdoors during many wintry days when temperatures were freezing, thus inhibiting decomposition.

JOE MAHONEY is a

Thanks for posting this Rochester Girl.

Once again, Joe Mahoney at the (next county over) Daily Star continues to keep Jennifer's story alive while Brian Golden of the hometown Evening Sun can't even give Jennifer a nod in the print edition of his paper -- apparently finding open house at the Sherwood Inn and a young man's aspiring hockey career ever so much more riveting than the probable murder of a mother of 3.

In spite of Evening Sun's dropping the ball, I was heartened to see so many locals have been following the J4J page and volunteered to put up signs for Jennifer. It seems that locals are extremely interested in Jennifer's story, and that following it would increase sells for the Evening Sun.
