I have seen two ways that perps can take down joggers. That creep that took two girls in San Diego, walked past the jogger, face to face, then suddenly turned and pushed her from behind, really hard. She then fell forward and was helpless essentially.

Another way I heard about was someone hiding in the brush alongside the trail, and then sticking out their leg or a stick, and tripping the jogger as they ran by.

Once someone has you on the ground, in a total blindsided surprise, they have all of the power.

I was once robbed/assaulted while running. I running was at East River park after work. Ran past a group of teenagers. I feel like one of them said something to me as I ran past but I had my headphones on and just continued running. All of a sudden someone grabbed me from behind. As I was spun around I got punched in the face and I was down. I consider myself to be very physically fit. But that kid who couldn't have been more than 16 took me down in seconds.

A hand print left on her back also matched him as did DNA found on her cell phone.**Detectives were still searching his home on Sunday as Chief Boyce spoke.
'Karina helped us identify is person, she had the DNA under her nails, touch DNA on her back*and she had DNA on her cell phone.'*

It was said that touch DNA was found in the her back.

She had earbuds in so really he could of just ran up behind her and basically tackled her. It was reported he saw her, yanked earbuds of, then hit her. However, i have always thought this.. where she was attacked the was a pretty large mud puddle and muddy spot, she was running, slowed down or stopped to avoid puddle and that's when he attacked.

I'm not sure if he's smirking or clueless. But there is something called "duping delight" where people can't hold back a smile or laugh when they feel they've deceived others.

I've wondered if he had been a runner himself, maybe on a school team. He's lanky.

I wondered about him running myself as he was wearing Adidas track pants when he was led out of the precinct.

All too often on here people state that such-and-such a female victim was fit, so would be hard to take down. Leaving aside the biological difference in size and strength between male and female bodies, people underestimate the simple advantage of taking someone by surprise. If you get the jump on someone, you'll probably succeed, unless there is a really huge discrepancy in skill or size. Being fit doesn't mean skill in fighting.

Really sad to see when searching CL name on Google the first thing that pops up is CL framed

Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

IMO it is no set up because there is no way that i am aware someone can plant another person's fingerprints or a palm print on a victim's body.
If LE have all the DNA evidence then they have their culprit, and his family needs to stop with the nonsense and let the investigation do their job for justice for KV and her heartbroken family.

I agree with the "duper's delight", i saw that in the George Zimmerman & Casey Anthony cases.

Curious if he is left handed. Detective Boyce had said they believe the suspect was left handed from hand imprints they found on her neck.

Just for your information;

The description of the man/witness/suspect? in the wanted poster sketch does not seem to fit
the arrested 20 year old Chanel Lewis.
CL is too young
CL does not have a beard
CL seems thinner than "medium build" his weight is 140 lb. CL looks heavier due to a bulletproof west under his shirt.
CL is taller than 5'10 he is 6ft tall
https://i.ytimg.com/vi/FyEV5mDbVWA/hqdefault.jpg (picture showing CL being pretty tall)

http://abc7ny.com/news/sketch-released-of-witness-in-howard-beach-jogger-murder/1492219/

The man was spotted by a utility worker near the top of Spring Creek Park, and detectives have not yet been able to locate him to interview him for information.

Here is his description:
- Black male
- 35 to 45 years old
- Height: 5'10"
- Medium build
- Wearing dark pants with a red t-shirt and dark wool hat

And according to the sketch :

The man in the sketch had a beard

http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york...lling-jogger-karina-vetrano-article-1.2964701

Cops described the suspect as 6 feet tall and 140 pounds.

I checked CLs BMI and it is 19 and that is underweight :

https://www.healthstatus.com/perl/calculator.cgi

BMI Results
According to your height of 6' 0" and weight of 140 pounds your body mass index is 19.0. This calculation is solely based on your height and weight.

The recommended weight range for your height is between 144 and 183 pounds. In this range, your BMI will be between 19.5 and 24.9, which is recommended by health professionals.

I wondered about him running myself as he was wearing Adidas track pants when he was led out of the precinct.

I wouldn't read too far into the Adidas track pants. They are extremely popular and in style in our area (East New York). My son has them in several colors and he has never been a runner.

The reason CL differs in all these ways from the sketch is because the sketch was not of CL. The police were adamant that he was a possible witness or could have seen something in the park that day, never a suspect.

I've seen people talking how Chanel Lewis doesn't match composite sketch cops put out last year. 1/2

Note: NYPD were adamant the person in sketch wasn't a suspect. He was someone they wanted to talk to to get more information on the case.

The sketch was a person of interest, not CL.

I know that chrissybk, but several people in this forum are posting as if CL is probably identical with the man in the sketch, writing things similar to; "- the man in the sketch had a red t-shirt on and CL had several red T-shirts in his closet" etc. and that is why I posted my post.

Ahh, I see that now, but I think the red shirt may have something to do with some teens on bikes from the night KV was attacked. If I remember correctly it was something mentioned on the scanner thread.

I've often wondered if CL said something provocative to KV, and like most NYC-raised women she put him in his place, enraging him. It seems more likely that they exchanged at least a few words than that he just wordlessly attacked her. He may not have admitted that to NYPD, just as he hasn't admitted to sexually assaulting her. From published reports, he seems to blame others for his snapping (fight with family, noisy neighbors, white people, women, HB).

The trial can't come soon enough. Once again, a voiceless victim deserves an honorable, intelligent jury and the whole truth.

The thought occurred to me as well. Maybe he made a remark as she ran by, which she didn't hear because she was wearing her earbuds, and the lack of response angered him.

Exactly. Police haven't claimed that man in a sketch is a suspect. So why do people expect the sketch to match? It's not the same person.

I agree. When I posted a link on my fb , I had over 100 comments because of that fundly.com page for CL that needed to be taken down, which now they changed the amount that needed to get raised from 15K to 50K (hmm) and my African American friends were arguing with my European friends; they were getting defensive and I was like no one is saying CL looks like the composite sketch. That person is a different person altogether. Which is why they thought he was framed and the sketch was the real perp.
