The whole idea is if LE is looking for you they will find you sooner or latter. If you use any kind of technology it will be sooner. If you are into Counter surveillance you stand a better chance of not being caught.This is not the norm, people don't take the battery out unless you have something to hide. What this guy did is really the smarter thing, he used the girls Phone. Who knows how much resources went into trying to locate him then, well not much obviously.

I'd bet my bottom dollar that LI hobbyists could offer us alot of valuable info on this case. If there are any among us, I doubt they would want to put themselves out there on a public forum. However, if there are any among us, and they want to pass valuable info along, I'd be more than happy to take pm's and be your go-between. No judgement what-so-ever.

I've posted a few times about the world and culture of prostitution. I will add that I am not a regular customer, or customer at all, but have certainly spent some time in the strip clubs. I've grown accustomed to this culture and world through a variety of channels. I've had life long childhood friends get mixed up in the drug and prostitute world and seen what can happen. Further, I live in a place where it's not hard to find these activities. Lastly, someone I grew close to was a part of this world - a prostitute. Not a street girl, but the kind of escort we are seeing in these cases. I've seen the world through their eyes and experiences. Although she struggled with drugs at various points, like alot of girls, she also became addicted to the money. I also know what customers are like, the culture and environment of customers, and typical procedures and ways they often secure escorts etc.. If anyone would like to PM me, I am more than willing to share my insights and experiences. I think I can provide some helpful words in this area. I've seen some posts on here concerning how/where/what with these girls in terms of what they do. I don't want to say the posts are inaccurate, but I think I could help clarify a bunch of things.

The pc to the sister is so revealing becuase it shows he has the power. He controls how long the pc is and when. It's cruel and a form of torture. Maybe something about her death was incomplete for him. I believe he holds on to his victims and tortures them before he actually kills them. Maybe something interfered with that process. Like she fought him back terribly and he ends up killing her much earlier than planned. Speculation, speculation!!

Did any of you happen to catch True Crime with Aphrodite Jones on ID last night? It made me wonder if any of the remains found had been there long enough to have been undiscovered victims of Rodney Alcala. He killed women in CA and NY in the 70's and they still don't know how many. DNA evidence keeps turning up more and more victims.

I think they mean the prostitute was found on the highway not the laptop.

Saw that I had left out Amber Lynn Costello's escort name - went back and corrected that. The other interesting thing about looking at the inforamation as a "list", is I wonder what the guy was doing in 2008? I wish they would hurry up and identify the other bodies found.

I still think he lives near the area although I agree it may be a rental and his real home is in the city. This may seem completely off the mark but I think this guy disposes the remains in an area that if police spot ( or anybody else)him he has a built-in reason for being in the area. I keep thinking about Jeffrey Dahmer and his first victim. Police stopped him late at night driving in the town where he lives with the body in the trash bag in ther car. But he tells them he can't sleep and he was just going to the city dump. Since he lives right around the corner, he's local and "ok."

I also noticed in the radio interview when asked if the dr had been cleared..if I read this right..the anwser was not "yes" but "he's been cooperative".

I caught that, too.

Bless you, Reannan. I was going to do the same, but have been too busy working on other things at the moment.

Do you think we can add SG too, even though we're not yet sure her disappearance is connected? My thinking on this is that, if we have more background info on SG, we might be able to find something that connects her to the other 4.

If you decide to add SG, I do know that she sometimes went by "Sabrina".

ETA: additional info I have that you may want to add:
Megan Waterman was last seen at an Express Holiday Inn in Hauppauge (sp?) I found a phone number for her listed on a site, but not sure if I should post that. PM me if you'd like and I'll pass it on.
Amber Lynn Costello lived in West Babylon, was last seen in North Babylon (which makes her the only one of these 4 who lived close to the area.)

I wonder if Melissa was alive when the calls were made and the calls to her sister was part of his torture. I'm just thinking that the purpose of these calls were to torture his victim, Melissa. How did he Know the Sis' cell number? Because he was probably torturing Melissa and she gave up the info in hopes it would save her life!! Have there been any reports of suspicion that he kept his victims alive for awhile before murdering them?

Thats a good thought and observation, maybe it has something to do with why all the girls went missing in the summer time as well. I think the year sequence and month can be useful


Sadly, it also occurred that maybe he did strike 2008 and A) no one was reported missing, and B) they have not identified or found a body yet.

Just a thought tho
