Another possibility is that JB and the drifter didn't think SG fulfilled her end of the bargain. Maybe they refused to pay the full amount and she refused to leave w/ a partial payment. In turn, one of the johns got violent and very hostile causing SG to panic.

Maybe he orchestrated it from jail. Maybe another associate of his did it.

All I am saying is it could be her pimp. She was from Jersey City and the guy that was controlling the girls from Jersey City was a brutal killer. Maybe his replacement was as well.

Some people would say she was working independent but I don't believe that for one bit.

I wish someone would leak the name that SG was saying when she was on the phone with 911. I think that would help to solve her case.

I agree with pretty much all with the exception of #3 Reannan .. I suspect his public persona is that of a somewhat meek and mild individual, who is married to a very domineering woman who is emasculating. I can't recall the vital statistics of all the victims, but seem to recall that they were mostly petite .. possibly women that he could feel powerful with.

Holy cow! EXACTLY my impression of him!
I see him as having money, probably an avid boater, business man or professional (probably works in city), lives in LI (I'm guessing OBIA), older (50ish), not all that attraction but well groomed, "hobbyist" but I'm not sure he'd be social with other area hobbyists. He might, but if he is, the others probably make him feel inadequate. If he even wanted to belong to that group, he never quite fit in among them. He straddles two worlds, and is very careful that these two worlds don't collide. I think that's why he dumps the bodies on a route he passes often, close to his home. That beach is a collectors case for him, but one that doesn't threaten his real life world. His thinking is, I can see them, I know they're there, but no one else does. That's a turn on. And if the bodies are found (which they were), he thinks no one can connect HIM to the bodies. Afterall...he's a nice, quiet, guy who holds a position of respect in his community, and he's been oh so careful to keep his worlds separate.

OK.... so let's brainstorm about what other avenues this SK could have been linked into. I believe the SK has these traits:

1. He is local to the Long Island area.

2. He has money to spend.

3. He is probably divorced.

4. He probably has a child - probably only one, and probably a son.

5. He collects objects that facilitate making him look like he has stature in the community - boats, cars, etc....

6. He is obsessed with sex and probably visits websites associated with sex, and especially BDSM sites.

I do not mean for any of this to be offensive to some of my friends who are into the BDSM scene, and who are actually pretty normal people!!!! I just believe this guy has violent sexual fantasies, and he needs to dominate because he feels completely inadequate if he is honest with himself - which is too painful for him to do. So..... with all of that said, are there any Long Island individuals who fit that category? Where else can we look??? What other search terms can we sleuth??? Of course, we cannot name individuals who are not yet named as POI by LE, or are not yet in MSM...... But we can look for clues that I bet are out there.... we just need the right search terms. :banghead:

Does anyone know if PH really does have any sort of halfway house or rehab practice? In the article where he spoke with the media, he says that he "didn't say that she was at my house" and denies ever meeting Shannon. It could just be the reporting, but he doesn't actually say that he never called Shannon's mom. I wonder if he could have spoken to Shannon previously by phone, but not actually met up with her.

I have been amazed at all of your thoughts on this case. I live about 30 minutes from Manhattan, in Westchester County but have a summer home in West Gilgo Beach, which is another beach association near Oak Beach. It sits between Gilgo and Tobay Beach in Nassau. West Gilgo is in Suffolk, but Tobay is a stone's throw. We are on the north side of Ocean Parkway, the same side the bodies have been found.
Redbird, you asked about the gate in a gated community. I can answer your question. There is a code, but it can be accessed with a cell phone. If I am expecting company past 9 pm., and I am not there to greet them, I can open the gate for them via my cell. I'm fairly certain that Oak Beach has the same system.
BTW, I noticed the Italia comments earlier, my name is strickly because I am Italian.

My feeling is that there is a NYC to LI and areas connection. Out here in the west, that's not much distance to travel at all.

For most Sk's cruising is part of it (hate to say that 'cause it's creepy but it's true).

Another thing I wonder about is the bodies found in burlap and I've read that the other remains (some) were found in black garbage bags. Could it be a MO that he wraps them in something so as not to be caught If he gets pulled over by LE? I mean, IMO he's smart -
Rifkin, Green River Killer, Hillside stranglers (for ex.) never bothered to wrap their victims up in something before they were dumped. Just thinking (haha, way too much - my family is going to fire me..!)

Jumping in to muddy the waters a bit. I agree with Reannan on #3, I do not see a woman residing with this man. I also agree with the meek and mild appearance/public persona.

I do not see this man as a Bundyesque sort of SK with charm and all suave. I see him as very different in his public life and his "second life" as it were. In the day to day, this man blends, he does not call attention to himself. He has serious issues with women. I totally agree about the inadequecy issue suggested by Reannan.

I think this began as him only being able to feel masculine with pros and while being in control of them. I agree with you that the petite factor is important and this guy is probably meek and mild around women in daily life. This suggests to me that he may not be a big strapping guy who is particularly physically imposing. Thus the need for a smaller built female.

I think women in the day to day world see this guy as slightly off but not in a scary way, more in a poor sap sort of way. Women who encounter him in life find him non threatening and may even feel sorry for him.

I disagree that he is in his regular day to day life, running around flashing cash and calling attention to himself. Quite the opposite IMO

He killed his first victim on impulse or when things during a "session" went awry. But once that was done, he could not get it out of his mind. Fantasies began to incorporate more violence and the urge to repeat this behavior with another real live woman became overwhelming.

At first he had a deep sense of shame about the killing, but that has long since passed. As each killing took him further and further away from real life. Now he exists in the day to day but only til he can get to his next opportunity to release. He cannot imagine life without this release and will continue til he is stopped.

Some very good points in your post. But I have to go back to:

1) If SG saw something or had something done to her in JB's house, and she freaked out - maybe it is possible that he called the driver because SG had already called 911 and that was the best way to NOT draw attention to himself.

2) How did PH come to the attention of LE? Please, this is really bugging me. Anyone know?

3) How did the driver get back in the gate (as he said he waited outside the gate)? Did JB come pick him up or...???

Yes, the information about PH calling came from SG's mother. How did the driver get back in? That's something I have wanted to know. How does the gate work? Maybe a local could elaborate. Surely the people that live there don't have to walk all the way to the gate to let visitors in.

i'll amend my answer since the lady from gilgo posted about the code from the cel phone...perhaps this is the way it is now as well at oak beach..when we rented it was a code but we were able to push it from the gate and get in ourselves...

I really think he is divorced, and it was not his idea to get a divorce. I would go so far as to say the divorce happened anywhere from 2002 - 2005 (possibly 2006). I think he has a child that is probably about 5 - 7 years old now, and he gets joint custody with this child - which is probably a son. I think he has a deep seated hatred of his ex-wife because it was her idea to get a divorce, and as the child becomes more mature, he begins to feel more and more inadequate and defeated as the 'image' of a perfect 'man' that he thought he was supposed to be. I sadly believe he has enough "alone" time to be able to connect with these girls on CL and possibly have one or two encounters with them that enables him to flash his money and establish himself as a 'safe guy to be with'. I do not think the girls initially found him to be a threat. All of this is, of course, my opinion.... it is exhausting to try and get inside one of these jerks minds!!!!

I don't think he lives on LI. I think he's from the Bronx and works in Manhattan, and has a summer/weekend place on LI. I think it could be a place his family owned when he was growing up. There's an outbuilding or something on the property that he can use for his purposes. I think the family goes home in one car, and he stays behind to close the house up, and dumps the bodies on his way back.

I don't know whether he's married. I would be inclined to say that he's had lots of trouble with relationships in his life.

I'm not sure how old he is, calendar age, but he's been doing some kind of sexual killing for a long long time, possibly since he was a teenager. I think the family had at least some money and influence and he escaped the consequences of early misdeeds, but I suspect he has fallen on harder times since then and may have had to rent the summer place out a couple of times -- say the summer of 2008? That contributes to his sense of failure.

Stop the world because I want to get off!

I can't believe that a real-life sk can gather a following of supporters. What the heck is wrong with a lot of people in society? How in the hell did we get to the place that we become EXCITED that there is a sk runnin' amuck? This is not a joke and this fool needs to be removed from society as soon as possible. This is not a video game where a victim will come back to life once you press the re-start button. Lives have been and will be heinously snuffed out in ways unimaginable. There are people who are trapped in the teenage invincibility mode where they think it can't happen to them or somebody they know. Somebody is next if this walking sesspool is not apprehended immediately. It's foolish to think that he will forever target prostitutes especially when he realizes that he has a fan club on facebook and comment sections of various media websites. I've said it before: This fool is going to up the ante. People should be extremely cautious and more than concerned because he is no television character a la Dexter.

The momentum is building and people are feeding this monster. Are we regressing to barbarians or something where we are cheerleading a maniac to slaughter women? Will we do cart-wheels and back flip off the top of a cheerleader pyramid in victory when a loved one is found in a ditch de-fleshed or decomposed after being raped in every hole (before and after death) and tortured then discarded like yesterday's trash?

God forbid.

Are you talking about the voice recording that Nancy played? That wasn't the actual conversation--that was a couple of people from Nancy's staff doing a voice over script of said conversation between sk and victim's sister.

IMO, I think he is a current resident of Long Island, with ties to NYC either from having worked at one time in either Manhattan or The Bronx, or is currently working in one or the other of these 2 boroughs. If he is currently employed on Long Island, I think he is either a transplant from The Bronx to Long Island, or has family roots from either Manhattan or The Bronx, and is therefore more familiar with these 2 boroughs.
