NY-LI 10 bodies found on Beach-Poss. SrlKlr-12/10-4 id'd; more found 3/11 #8

My hunch is that her body will be found in yet a THIRD dumping ground. Now that we know that the Manorville & Ocean Parkway sites are related we can see that our SK likes to dump remains in areas that fit the following criteria;

1. Easy access to major highways.
2. Dark at night with no lamp posts/street lights.
3. Very little (if any traffic in the early am).
4. Only a few scattered homes around.
5. Access to terrain used for both fishing & hunting.
6. No sidewalks & a wide grassy shoulder to pullover vehicle.
7. No traffic lights/traffic cameras in area.
8. Foliage overgrows area by Mid-May & doesn't die off until late November.
9. PUBLIC LAND/wildlife protected areas on both sides of road.

Based upon this criteria, here are my top picks for our serial killers other/future dump sites on Long Island;

1. Eastern end of DUNE ROAD inside Shinnecock County Park West.
2. Rocky Point Yaphank Road, South of 25A, North of Whiskey Road in the State Pine Barrens Preserve.
3. River Road in Mastic, along South Haven County Park
4. Wading River Manor Road from the LIE (495) to 25A (Sound Avenue)
5. Actually, any of the other roads in and around the Robert Cushman County Park & Peconic River County Park.
6. Pipe Stave Hollow Road and/or Harbor Beach Road in Mt Sinai.
7. Long Beach Road in Nissequogue (especially the Eastern most portion)
8. Montauk Highway between Amaganset & Montauk.
9. Swamp Road in East Hampton, near Northwest Harbor County Park.
10. Spinny Road where it cuts through Birch Creek Owl Pond County Park.
11. Toppings Path as well as Hot Water Street in Manorville where they cut through the LI State Pine Barrens Preserve.
12. Smith Rd/Suffolk Bvd in Shirley along the Wetheim National Wildlife refuge.
13. Tarkill Trail along Brookhaven State Park.
14. N. Belle Mead Road where it cuts through the Laurel Ridge Setauket Woods Nature Preserve

WOW, this is really strange and creeping me out!! I am thinking about another perfect road to dump the bodies and I am thinking about RT111 in Manorville. This road is perfect because it is a divided highway with a wide center median with trees. So the SK can see that there is nobody coming up behind him and he doesn't really care about traffic coming in the other direction because they can't see through the trees and bushes on the center median.

So I go to Bing Maps and I type in Route 111, Manorville, NY and you will not believe the cross street that comes up! Halsey Manor Road. This is the street that JT was found off of by the LIE.

This area is another perfect dumping ground. With the only problem being that even at 3AM, there is probably some intermittent traffic on Route 111. Not like Ocean Parkway at 3AM when you can probably go 15-20 minutes without a car going by.

I have goosebumps over here. I hope they catch this prick soon!!!

But the photo of Jessica Taylor just breaks my heart. I know all the victims were young women, but this girl just looks like a child..so very vulnerable.

Hi, Marie-Chantel, and welcome! I think that prostitutes, like other independent contractors, are eclectic: They sell where there are buyers. The "Craigslist" tag is a nice umbrella, but some of the victims mentioned here sold their bodies in more than one venue, whether it be streetwalking, working through an escort service, hanging out in bars, or, as you note, at Port Authority.

Your comment about Jessica is poignant. My thoughts always go back to the survivors; their memories must be laced with a thousand regrets.

Thanks Chanler. I agree completely about the survivors. I can't even imagine what they must go through and my heart always goes out to them. Maybe Jessica's family have purposely stayed out of the media in order to preserve their privacy.

I wonder if her family have received phone calls too? I truly hope not, but the one positive thing would be that it would connect her case to the women on Gilgo Beach.

Everyone brought up really interesting points. This case just gets stranger and spookier by the day. I hope that the spotlight on the case will at least prevent whomever is doing this from killing again.

I signed the petition that was linked a few pages back that asks for amnesty for the women if they come forward with information. Someone out there knows something and hopefully this will help.

I think that they just discovered two dump sites for an Eastern European crime syndicate. I just thin that there were multiple people dumping their kills in the area. If you look at it the first two woman found in Mannorville where classic Eastern European dump jobs, hands and head removed. The other ones were probably done by younger less disciplined people.

I think out SK has grown less frightened of being caught over the years and no longer feels the need to dismember in order to conceal identity. Also could any of the male bodies found have been a pimp or driver? I would be willing to bet other locations will always be mid Island s of the LIE and south shore.
One other random thought... one victim said that the older guy on LI was creepy. Now what would make him creepy????? I can think of one thing.

I had similar thoughts. What stuck out to me was the fact that the killer of Jessica Taylor went to a lot of work making it hard to identify and it sort of turned out to be a waste of time for him. It probably also added more risk.

Jessica Taylor was found July 26, 2003. Not hidden but out of the way.
She was identified six months later by her tattoo. I wonder if he kept some of JT's remains in his "backyard" as a trophy he gets to visit often.

JT's remains could have been there since 2003. MB's since 2007. SG goes missing 2010. Its mostly dismissed and the SK figures its safe to dump again.

If it is the same guy, this could have been the turning point in the MO. I also get the feeling that the use of burlap was more a tech. breakthrough for the guy. Its durable, takes a long time to rot, has good ventilation and acts as camo.

Maybe the dry salty air, wind and breathability of the burlap keep the odor down?

...and yes, that photograph is heartbreaking. With all the other pictures lined up side by side, you sense how many people are suffering because of these vicious crimes.

No meaning in this area. The DA is often involved in investigations from the beginning around here.

Hi, Marie-Chantel. As you say, it would be good if the family avoids media contacts generated by this grim business. Over the years, many victim families have voiced feelings of pain about incursions into their privacy.

I hope that the family received no phone calls from their daughter's killer. (Of course, copycats take macabre pleasure from making such calls.)

Thank you for mentioning the petition; I missed and will now search for it. Sex workers are constantly exposed to danger: Not only are the situations dangerous in themselves, but the clients who prey upon them often regard them as degraded creatures.

Unless maybe he was a male prostitute??? Has there ever been a SK who hated prostitutes in general and wasn't particularly concerned about their gender? I know there have been SK's who did not care much about the gender, but this guy seems to have a vendetta against prostitutes, and I do not believe it is simply that they are easy prey. I think he hates them for what they do.

Maybe a few times the girls have brought their cell phones - or drivers - even when he asked them not to. He may be totally prepared in case that happens...had to deal with it before, KWIM?

So the driver, Mr Pak, waited outside the gate for 3 hours till he got a call to come get her we have read.

Isn't that gate in the area of Larboard Ct where Mr Hyde lives? I think his property is not in the development and not too far from the gate. Hmmmm, I wonder if the driver saw him or he was watching the driver? Just interesting and maybe means nothing.

I wonder if any of the males could be some of the burlap wrapped victims' boyfriends, drivers, or pimp who came looking for them or the ones who knew the sk's name and residence? One man got the goofy drunken sounding phone calls for 8 months. The SK could hate the men in the girls' lives and have a different method of killing and disposing of them. Or, some of the victims could be drug killings and not necessarily a crazed serial killer, even though I suppose any person killing 3 victims is considered a serial killer.

Even though Pre-paid Cellphones (trakfones) were on the market in 2003, they were not as well marketed or available as they are today. 7-11 sells them now. So, once the killer became aware of these throw-away phones and felt he'd found a way to cover his electronic tracks and avoid any traceable connection he might have felt free to leave the bodies intact and not worry so much about being connected to them...unless there was an unexpected witness...like an unplanned visitor/driver/pimp.

I don't know how the baby is related, but I really hope she is identified soon - I would think, and hope, that she was already reported missing. I wish LE would give us more details as to how long she's been there, etc so we could start looking at possible matches. A toddler is just so far outside of the MO of this killer (or at least the one that killed the other women) that I have no explanation for it.

I think the Asian male is totally unrelated to the others. I am guessing that he was not strangled, but probably shot in the head. That is what cops are calling "radically different" MOD.

The Snakeheads (gang that smuggles in illegal Chinese) may have something to do with this man's murder, execution-style.
