oh wow, a little one Bad enough all these dead women but a toddler?? This case just gets more and more puzzling. Will be intersted to find out approx TOD and where these remains fit in or if these are unrelated and simply have finally been found due to all the recent searching etc around this case.

Bones discovered near Jones Beach on Monday are likely more human remains, potentially a ninth such find on the barrier island, law enforcement sources said.
Officials from the medical examiner's office were able to quickly determine the bones did not appear to be those of an animal, and were removed to a forensic lab for final confirmation, one source said.

Another source said authorities believe the remains to be human. The remains were a partial set and wrapped in some kind of material, the source said.

fwiw... I am with Pat Brown on this one... the guy is dumping them right off the side of the road... she had said they have all been found on the same side of the road and she thinks he knows the area well and than dumps, does a u turn, and drives back home...

In the AC murders, no personal items were ever found. No purses, cell phones, shoes, wallets, etc. I wonder if some of that stuff has turned up in the Long Island graves? That would be uber creepy.

It is possible that it could have been the child of an adult victim.

It is possible that he just simple killed a child as a victim of opportunity.

It is possible that someone else dumped a body there and we are about to have resolution to another missing child case. Especially if that body was the one in the middle alone, found March 29th.

Those are the normal, logical, reasonable explanations.

They have also said that some of those second set of remains were "very old" and "older than the others."


What if the child was FIRST?

What if the child was the catalyst, the trigger, that started the whole thing?

What if we are dealing with a mother who died in or shortly after childbirth, leaving a single father, without other family, who's child died... and that was the trigger which started the homicides?

For whatever reason, he didn't call the police and just buried the child... but that is another possible way it could be connected without being the victim's child.

Several sets of bones, found in the early morning, were ruled by the medical examiner at the scene to be from an animal. Not sure where- you mean Oak Beach?

Sorry, I'm talking about boating channels around Fire island. Near to shore, there's always a 5mph "No Wake" zone - you see the signs posted on the shoreline or out in the bay as you approach land. Given the channel around FI, and between Fire island and Oak Beach is a fairly small body of water, i wasn't sure how much of it is 5mph zone. This makes a big difference on how long it would take to go back and forth - 15 minutes instead of an hour. Unless you've been boating there, you probably wouldn't know, but thought I'd ask. In the absence of any confirmation, I would say, it's not 100% 5mph, and that a trip from FI to oak Beach or visa versa would take less than half an hour.

Toddler...oh my...that's distressing for LE to find on top of everything else....probably unrelated as it's an obvious place to dispose of bodies being such a very long and straight stretch of road. You would see an approaching car at night from miles away and would have plenty of time to cover up whatever you were doing before it got anywhere near. People have probably been taking bodies there since prohibition that they're only now discovering - mafia - gang murders - kidnapped children - nothing would surprise me now.

Suzie do you recall offhand if any of the women in AC were said to own a cell? Women off the street don't usually carry purses. Example being paperwork that would ID you if you got busted. If you have an addiction you wouldn't usually have enough money for a phone.

Of course that is not in all cases, but I haven't known alot of prostitutes that carry personal effects save for works or a pipe or even a straw. Not being disrespectful to any of the women it's just how it is.
