8/18/20 Update: The attorney for Sauberan filed court papers this week asking a judge to dismiss a murder indictment. "My client denies having anything to do with her murder,” defense attorney Paul G. Dell said Friday. “He did not know this young woman. Our position is that DNA samples found at the murder scene 42 years ago have degraded to the point that there is not sufficient evidence to prove that John was there.” Prosecutors will oppose Dell’s motion to dismiss the indictment, Erie County DA John J. Just catching up... This man looks SO different to me from photo to photo. I’d definitely love to see a geographic timeline of his life. I doubt Linda was his only victim. Since his DNA is in the system, it could be most interesting to see how many other cold cases- with untested bio material- overlap his movements. Good grief there’s a 40+ year window here!
