8/18/20 Update: The attorney for Sauberan filed court papers this week asking a judge to dismiss a murder indictment. "My client denies having anything to do with her murder,” defense attorney Paul G. Dell said Friday. “He did not know this young woman. Our position is that DNA samples found at the murder scene 42 years ago have degraded to the point that there is not sufficient evidence to prove that John was there.” Prosecutors will oppose Dell’s motion to dismiss the indictment, Erie County DA John J. Flynn said on Friday. Erie County: Next hearing on 9/17/20. Buffalo City Court preliminary hearing on 10/7/20. 9/17/20 Update: Erie County: Next hearing on 10/16/20.

Sorry to take so long. One search place I used was https://www.truepeoplesearch.com/ I never have complete faith in these types of search sites so I try to confirm through public records, newspaper articles, or find someone else with same name (maybe different middle initial) living in the listed location. Deland has not been confirmed.

The locations listed on the original list are only confirmed if there was an arrest record, an offense date, or court date.
 
It looks the Buffalo case might have been merged (with the Erie case) - or dismissed - as it has not appeared back on the court site. And usually it is there for another court date like maybe 2 or 3 days after the last hearing. All that it is showing is the Erie County case.
But I'll keep looking for it!

I'm just getting old articles - anyone local or in the U.S. come up with anything about this last hearing re Buffalo?
