I'm caught up reading the thread and have a few observations/questions.

Do we know for sure if SG's driver and the Asian man are the same person?

I don't think the killer is able to travel hundreds of miles away to dump the bodies. I think he is local or seasonal resident maybe with a family or a job that prevents him from traveling long distances. MOO

Another observation is that I am not surprised if the bodies were found without clothing. These ladies were escorts and they were there to have sex. I think the killing was done during the act. Then, he removes the jewelry before disposal. Also MOO

I read the driver didn't want to be identified when he was interviewed by the Press. As stated before there could be more to it, maybe he's a Witness to something, what? The fact that he can say I drove SG on this day to this Location at a minimum possible more. I'm still wondering how John knew to call the driver. Maybe he's seen Shannon more than once, a regular Customer

The CL connection is also very strange. I have been on CL before. It is just like the above said, very private if someone is selling a TV and I respond I have to go through the CL link, this way CL acts like a Buffer if the person selling the TV senses something fishing- their protected. People do put their Phone numbers up but not everyone I thought most don't. Either way must be a way to back track, CL must keep records

I don't know how reliable this site is but it is interesting. It says "Several of the recovered bodies have been identified, and they are from areas all over the East Coast." I don't know if "several" just referred to the first 4 or more than 4 were identified. Forgive me for being clueless, but are they allowed to identify a body and hold back that info from the public because of whatever reason they have?

Also, I apologize for not being able to link to this as I don't have access to Newsday from here but Newsday published a map in today's paper that showed the locations of the 8 bodies and they were not in groups of 4 (like they showed on the ever-erroneous NG). There was the first set of 4, one somewhat nearby to those, and I believe three in another set further down the road.

I wish we knew more about the Asian man. I wonder if he was a 'party' guest or the actual driver. I agree with RIGHTEOUS1 that Brewer may have been a regular client of SG's. Who usually provides the driver, the escort or the John?

My bf sells things on CL sometimes but he always schedules the potential buyers visit for when he is home. (The last buyer was a teacher I used to work with, small world, LOL) He always lists his cell phone number.

I do wonder how much of a footprint is available to LE if the perp is scheduling on CL using a smart phone. Can those be tracked?

It seems to me that she didn't have a problem with JB (the John), she didn't want to leave his home. If she was supposed to walk down to the waiting driver outside the gate - maybe she'd seen someone outside that scared her? Or, Maybe she didn't want to go with that driver, maybe he'd said or done something on the ride to the johns house? The driver is the one trying to make her out to be a drug crazed lunatic, and he was the last one to see her alive. Maybe sex isn't the motive for the SK, maybe its the money? She would have just made $750 from that 3 hr time with JB.

There are just too many variables missing from this story to come up with a real theory about this case.

JB realizes she is gone, and he makes up the story about her refusing to leave. SG went to the home of GC, and was screaming hysterically that "they" were after her. When GC called 911, she ran from the home. According to this article, that is when the SUV with an Asian man drove up looking for Shannon. (BBM)

The article also says this.....which I have not heard before:

Her mother, who lives in upstate Ellenville, told a New York Post reporter that her daughter was screaming the man's name on the 911 tape, saying that he was trying to kill her and asking for help."

If Shannon was screaming the guys name on the 911 call, and an arrest has not been made, then the guy was probably using an alias also. In other words, Shannon may not have known the real name of the John. If the Asian guy returned to look for Shannon with her family, then he has to be her boyfriend, driver, etc. He may have gone to JB's home, and believed the story about Shannon freaking out.

very true, we only have his and the drivers word about what had happened. She could have been trying to escape, except the driver stated the John called him to come get her - and she was on a call to 911 at the johns house. Its all so confusing. Unless the John and the driver are the killers, it makes little sense.
