I also don't think Sweat will be out alive. For nothing more than 1. LE doesn't know if he's armed 2. LE has no will to bring him in (I'm sure, I wouldn't either...) 3. (And maybe biggest) Sweat isn't going to want to go back. He's going to want to die.
