Rest gently, Vincent ! May justice be swift and harsh !!!

So sad..... his FB pics look so exuberant, like he enjoyed life !

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-30...zed-charged-murder-11-days-disappearance.html

The couple, who had been together for many years ...

Hard to imagine talking , eating, sleeping, going places with someone and then -- murdering that person ! If that is what happened. Law enforcement can be pretty suspicious, and she must have said some pretty damning things for them to charge her -- even with second degree.
hopefully if she planned this, they can upgrade and add premeditation to the charges.
Sick woman !

And how can she post a "happy go lucky/look how cute and sexy I am" selfie like this 1 week after the man she was going to marry went missing after a "canoo accident" ???

There are several photos she posted AFTER Vincent Viafore went missing, that make you go WHAT ??? !!!

Disturbing INDEED!

RSBM

Wonder if she was 'getting on' with her life ; as in looking for a new 'prospect' ? Maybe he wanted to leave her -- and had told her he'd go on this kayaking adventure one last time and then that was it ?
If so, why didn't she just leave him ?
Did he have a life insurance policy ?
Thinking out loud here.

If she somehow gets a lenient sentence out of this, future men had better beware !!

Angelika Graswald, 35, said she is being wrongfully accused of tampering with Vincent Viafore’s kayak to kill him. She says the accusations come after police found her diary.

The diary allegedly details Viafore's desire for rough sex, pressure on Graswald to take part in threesomes, and how she at times wished he was dead because of it.

She hasn't confessed and they don't have a body. She must have really bungled some statements for LE to be confident enough to arrest her. I wonder what she said?!

I have TW, that must be it.

Having TW is usually a bad thing for me because no ABC programming is allowed online.

BTW, in the video they said that she said the police are accusing her of tampering with his kayak and that her use of social media is her way of grieving. She also said that the inconsistencies are from blacking out:)

"Her brashness may have led to a break in the case. On Wednesday, the authorities said, Ms. Graswald went to Bannerman's Island, known formally as Pollepel Island, to lay flowers in honor of Mr. Viagore. Investigators were there as part of their search efforts, and it was while they were speaking there that the most glaring contradictions emerged."

Such a sad story. I will never understand why people don't just break up and leave rather than kill someone.

While Vincent's body has not been found and may never be found, people can be convicted of murder without a body. Just this week jerice hunter was convicted of the death of her child Jhessye Shockley and Jhessye's body has never been found despite an exhaustive search. So a conviction can happen.

Police became suspicious because Viafore is a good swimmer with a strong passion for water sports.

Graswald has told varying version of his final moments, including one last week during an interview with News 12:
“I saw him struggling a little bit, he was trying to figure out how to paddle the waves…because they were getting crazy,” Graswald said. “And then I just saw him flip.”

“The woman was here with a friend and she seemed concerned and distraught from what I could see and she was just biding her time just seeing if they could find him,” said Cornwall resident Barry Gruber.

State police are asking outdoors enthusiasts and fisherman to keep an eye out for the body but to please not touch anything.

On Friday, Graswald and some friends were at the "Shadows on the Hudson" restaurant and bar, drinking while a band was playing, and holding what appeared to be a memorial service for Viafore. Employees of the restaurant have been told not to talk with the media because it's an ongoing police investigation, but Travis Schifko was playing in the band that night:

"I just heard that they were having a remembrance party at the bar or something that night, (at a bar while you're singing songs?) We're pretty upbeat," Schifko said.

Hoping LE can back their charges as none of what we know amounts to a hill of beans yet.

Meghan Avezzano was a friend of Viafore's and says:

They met at a Pickwick Pub in Poughkeepsie about four years ago and he was "just the nicest guy." Viafore was going through a divorce at that time so she was happy for him when he and Graswald got together. She saw the two of them out together frequently, and they always seemed like "the perfect couple". I never saw any fighting ... he always had his arm around her, they were lovey-dovey.

"I just can't believe it. She's (Graswald) a tiny little thing," and it's hard to imagine how this could have happened.

Police say she was also involved in a group dedicated to preserving Bannerman Castle, located on the island.

Graswald, who is originally from Latvia, said she was previously married and that her maiden name is Lipska, the name she goes by on her Facebook page.

I know everyone grieves differently, I get that.
But her FB page is not at all what I would expect of a grieving fiance JMO
