A lot of what Dr Brown testified to such as no increased risk of stillbith was discounted by defense witnesses including an Ob/Gyn specialist. I IMO based on verdict the jury did not give much credence to Dr Browns testimony.

Re skull fractures Dr Latham the forensic anthropologist called by the state testified they were postmortem defects. Given that some of the bones were never found and it was a shallow grave IMO animals could have done the damage.
I thought maybe the 25 lb flower pot might've done the damage.

Of course she was hoping to harm her unwanted fetus! Time was closing in on her.

She told detectives she searched for how to get rid of baby and one of the things that came up in her search was pills. I believe she misunderstood the reference was for morning after pill to prevent conception.

The fact she went to OBGYN specific for bc script when she was 2 weeks from delivery, AND started ingesting them the same day says it all. Listening to her parents, they also appeared misinformed about effect, and if taking them leads to miscarriage.
Yes, she might very well have misunderstood how the morning after pill works. You can still use regular birth control pills, but you have to take a lot of them to equal the same dose as Plan B.
She may have thought it was still possible to do that later instead of immediately after having unplanned sex. Imo

yep in your 3rd trimester, would say it is a little too late. Honestly,I do not see what the big deal would be, her parents apparently knew she was sexually active if she didn't want the kid she could have given it up like Juno said to any number of cool people who would have loved and cared for that baby and who were better equipped to handle the challenge. What a perpetual mess she has made for herself. If I was Mommy and Daddy as she still calls them I would move to Seattle where people are progressive and more liberal in their thinking, they might enjoy the cool air and lovely mountains and just start over. Get her in counseling immediately as Washington is a Medicaid expanded state so getting medical and psychological care may be easier than some other parts of the US, just my opinion.

Geesh she must be really old school... The only thing I recall about ED is they feel a total loss of control of their lives and the one thing they can control is their weight so they refuse to eat or eat and vomit or abuse laxatives or all of the above. They like the attention they get when people notice the weight loss and then they like the attention when people start to say " hey you look too thin" etc then it does something to the brain and they cannot stop, it's really sad. By the time they realize it is physically hurting them the damage has been done.
Yes, it's one of the most difficult mental health disorders to treat. Telling someone with anorexia to "just eat" is kind of like telling an alcoholic to "just stop drinking."
It takes years and years of therapy and treatment and even then many people never live a normal life. Imo

I posted this earlier but I feel it is such an important message about ED it is worth another posting if you do not want to watch the entire movie at least watch the clip where the family sees the psychiatrist for the 1st time. Karen Carpenter has admitted herself for treatment. Very quickly you will see her mother is the root to her troubles. The doctor says many patients with anorexia have a common element where they feel unloved it is at the 1:15 mark in the film. This doctor nails the issue on the head and it even reminded me of BSR and her family almost exactly. Please take a few minutes to watch at least from 1:15- 1:21 mark. I will admit it is a tad bit cheesy since it was a TV movie but it still gets the point across. The music was all the real Carpenter's so that part was great.

Stop already!! This is hurting my reasonable sensibilities.... not welcome in Seattle.

The verdict in this case is a load of crap, she should have been convicted of involuntary manslaughter and gross misuse of a corpse, her so called eating disorder and wanting to go to the prom days before the crime, this baby had no chance, no wonder the child was stillborn, she purposely and knowingly tried to get rid of the child...
she belongs in prison , not on community control, I know there’s a lot of people hoping she violates the terms of community control...

All she had to do that fateful night was call 911, or even better place a aspirin tablet between her knees and hold it tightly, primitive birth control.....

And lastly that nonsense she was afraid of authority, and her parents, give me a frigand break , she knew exactly what she was doing, she was just playing the poor innocent little cheerleader for jury sympathy,

If I was on jury I would vote for conviction on involuntary manslaughter and gross corpse, and I would have dug in, it would have been a long weekend

I'm so confused here. How The Heck did she get BC pills if she was that far along?

2nd Juror Speaks Out

“We didn’t deliberate long on the (aggravated) murder charge, and we could not convict on (some of) the other charges because it was not a live birth,” he said.

Lamb still believes Richardson’s baby was a stillborn. He said if it was a natural birth, once the baby takes its first breath, it cries and screams.

I don't believe all babies let out a loud cry some it takes a few attempts. Babies are not all the same. I believe if BSR baby did not have the airway cleaned out the sound she made could have sounded like a gurgle. I think people need to use their common sense. The only person that truly knows what happened that night is BSR. We have not heard the truth from her just conflicting stories she wants to narrate. Which imo is to please mom and dad.

The Drs on the stand can only speculate by what they read and saw in tapes. They also were not present during the birth.

IMO it was more like she was taking then to keep up the facade with her mother that she wasn't pregnant. She even used that as a point in her texts with her mom-- why would I be on the pill and losing weight if I was pregnant?
Plus you can't end a pregnancy with a daily BC pill def not at her stage. It's not a thing medically and the prosecution never claimed that.
So I think that was part of her pretext with mom. But of course JMO and YMMV that maybe she was hoping it would work that way.

but then why wouldn't she flush or dispose of the pills?
if she actually took them, she was trying to 'abort' that baby IMO

Woe I missed that did she say she flushed the BC pills? If so that explains why there were none maybe? cause she took them all at once? This may be too late and after the fact a real confusing case and btw, people that lie a lot count on confusion as it keeps you guessing as to what is going on so they get away with their lies. Two things my mother taught me to loathe 1. Liars 2. Thieves.

Not all babies born cry and scream right away. My youngest son was quiet even after he was suctioned and I remember being worried asking the nurses if he was okay? He was perfectly healthy.

no I said why wouldn't she have flushed them? if she took them, it indicates she wanted to harm Annabelle IMO

This jury only took a little over 4 hours to reach their verdict. He says they spent 2 on abuse of a corpse, we know they had lunch, so how much time did they really spend going over all the evidence? I think they went back to deliberations with their minds made up. Maybe those 7 women who came out and stood holding hands didn't inform the 5 men that some babies don't cry and scream after their first breath. Actually I think they had an agenda and followed it through to the end. Including that little note with the verdict. JMO

18:37 would someone with better ears listen to what he says and translate, I thought he said " unfortunately it's happened before BSR " I know" SR " and you hid it" then I cannot understand the next few crucial words before he jumps back to the present and talks about this baby
