I have been listening to "the teacher's pet" (Lyn Dawson disappearance) and "cold" (Susan Powell disappearance) and feeling so frustrated by investigators not taking more seriously the disappearances of spouses right after divorce is brought up in the relationship. I certainly hope that is not the case here, but I also hope that LE starts looking at these cases more critically and investigating more aggressively when there are soooo many red flags. I am so tired of stories involving spouses who don't want to share custody or finances deciding that murder is a better option!!!
 
I agree with the previous post there is so many red flags in this disappearance . Questions was this so called “open marriage” nonsense a shared concept between both, did Cheryl venture into this type of territory before she served William , or was William that much of a “bully” that he ran the household under fear, and Cheryl was scared of him.
I need some clarification, the daughter that went to Florida with William and his girlfriend Marissa or was it the daughter Cheryl drops off at school.
I am trying to look at this disappearance from understanding the workings of the family.
I have seen Williams FB and he is weird, with the aspects of his weapons, and I viewed Marissas FB page between the tattoo world and that posting about “you have been kidnapped”, even though it’s something about a movie, but with the mindset of this family it builds the foundation of where to begin, I would check out the other individuals in those FBs , and the areas mentioned as possible ditching point areas.
I still have a great issue with Marissa using that phone app to find her mothers phone, too convenient for me, was she allows absent minded that this app was required or a one time use to build a alibi.
Did someone mention that the girlfriend live behind the Closed Kmart on Woodman Dr, if so was that area around the closed store and wooden area gone over with a fine toothed comb,
If this girlfriend was in this so called open arrangement was she vieing for Cheryls position , and I see her as easily manipulated to be involved in this type of arrangement openly.
I think on 2 Oct the pot boiled over inside that home and I think something bad happened, which I think lead to Cheryls disappearance , and I think they are all involved, either voluntarily or forced by William .

Does anyone in the know confirm whether or not Cheryl knew the girlfriend was going on the trip with the her husband and the daughter?

Also, the police have stated that the last time Cheryl was seen was dropping her daughter off at school. Seen by whom? Anyone at the school, or is this just per the daughter?

And who has an "open marriage" (implying that it was an amicable decision) that abruptly files for divorce right before a family vacation. That doesn't add up for me that Cheryl was in on this whole open marriage bs. She even complained to a neighbor that she was devastated it was 19 years down the drain.

Who replaces money to a joint stash of cash in the home when you're pissed that your wife just filed and put a "nail in your coffin?" Wouldn't you just just go off to Mickey Land, spend lavishly and shoot her the bird? None of this makes sense.

I'd love to know what his theories are as to where she went. He claims he wouldn't comment because it would hurt his daughter. He's been screwing around on her mother and brings the gf on vacation with them...I think some damage has been done.
 
Wyome Referenced a question that should front and foremost, the second paragraph above about who actually saw Cheryl take the daughter to school, this question could be the key to the entire disappearance, for as disfunctional as this family was is it possible another family member took the daughter to school and the daughter lied to protect William, was there any security cameras in front of the school that could verify one way or another.
Based on Wyome question is it possible something bad happened to Cheryl oct 1 into oct2 after they got back from Florida, and that the family disposed of her in the cloak of darkness, but setup the daughter school drop off and abandoning car in a Kroger parking lot, which my theory of Marissa and the phone app find,
The more I think of this it makes sense to hide Cheryl early in the darkness of oct 2nd,
My fellow sleuths does this make any sense

Mikala is the younger child that she was taking to high school that morning, and I believe she was the one that went on the FL vacation.

Marisa is the older child with a daughter of her own.

It's interesting that you should mention William's FB being a bit sparse and weird. Two years ago on Cheryl's facebook, someone commented on a picture she chose for her profile and she commented that she had to search way back for a photo where he appeared "happy."

So if people didn't catch the handful of local tv news stories or newspaper stories then they don't even know that someone is missing or if they may have seen something. Nothing in this case makes much sense.

I keep coming back to your post about this very small suburb's PD, and how there's been complete silence across the board and seemingly little to no sharing between neighboring law enforcement. This is such a scary point. If Cheryl met with homicide, I'd be horrified if I lived there, to know LE's done next to nothing (and in this day and age of interconnection and social media).

There hasn't even been a whisper as to whether or not William's been asked to take a poly, or even if he's done the formal interview. No one's even mentioned he's lawyered up. Just nothing.

I really hope that this is not another case of a law enforcement agency refusing help thinking "they've got this."
 
Wyome, thanks for straightening out which daughter is who, I could not get my mind wrapped around whose who.
I do agree this was not a happy family, my contention is if this family was truly happy , number one Cheryl would be home getting ready for Christmas, and second a happy family is close and when Cheryl went missing, they would be screaming from the roof asking for help to find her

LOL, finally, someone else said what's been on my mind! I, too, have questioned if anyone else saw Cheryl drop off her daughter that morning. I don't know if that makes a difference in terms of when she disappeared, time wise, but it sure is strange where that car was parked. I can't share who's place it was parked across because a family member mentioned it on a FB group, but it was, let's just say, in my opinion, done to taunt someone.

It's odd...I tried searching her name and I can pull up next to no information. I'm assuming she was found safe. Can you share what happened in a nutshell?

from a Florida a plan was initiated and put into operation to rid him of Cheryl, so his flavor of the week in girlfriends can replace her.
Two questions, the girlfriend, first the police need to identify her , this girl or woman, I am going to use the phrase does she comes from the other side of the tracks, and when William paid attention to her she would do whatever he asked
Lastly, does anyone know if Cheryl had any medical issues, ex. Depression, diabetes, heart, etc, just curious to see if she was on any medications, and a thought just popped in is it possible William and company used medications, drugs or poison to make Cheryl immobile so they could dispose of her without making a mess of the home.
Was there any alcohol abuse between the parties.
I think Cheryl was erased from the home shortly after they returned, and the school and Kroger parking lot scenes were staged to alter time frame to throw LE off
And where her SUV was strategically placed in the Kroger lot, a form of taunting trying to give the impression Cheryl parked there and walked to her moms home on Twinning, to fabricate a story her disappearance was all her,
And I wish the Riverside PD would give valid updates, on this crime, their FB is full of crimes wanting us to solve for them , I feel like they the police are assigning us homework to solve the crimes for them, and there was another crime not on a FB the hit and run on marathon day not solved, like one of our sleuths stated is Riverside safe, I know my wife is scared, like I told her EVIL ahead of GOOD, by a score of 6 to nothing.
