The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiners Office has identified the remains of three people who died in the Lake Erie plane crash...
Those remains belong to the pilot, John Thomas Fleming, 45; his son, John Robert Fleming, 15; and neighbor Brian Sean Casey, 50.
Divers weren't able to recover the remains of Fleming's 46-year-old wife, Sue, their 14-year-old son, Andrew, or Casey's 19-year-old daughter, Megan. Cleveland ended its recovery efforts Tuesday, saying it was unlikely further remains would be found in the lake.
A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board says John Fleming became certified to fly the Cessna Citation 525 just three weeks before the Dec. 29 crash.
My guess is this could be related to the missing aircraft out of Burke Lakefront from January. As far as I know the remains of three of the six passengers were never recovered. But the location seems right to possibly be related.
