Why would they have to leave in blood stained clothes? Let's say, hypothetically, a completely hypothetical husband stabs his wife to death at 3:30. He can then put all of his bloody clothes into a plastic trash bag, take a shower, get dressed in clean clothes, leave the house with the trash bag, toss it in a dumpster somewhere, and go meet a hypothetical son-in-law for dinner.

I thought the son-in-law was staying at the house as well? Unless sol was at work and met husband after work without going home first.

I wonder where the mother of the baby, Melinda's daughter, was?

I def have alarms ringing, especially after hearing the 911 calls.

But the only things that are making me second guess myself are
1) the previous instances of people trying to break into their home. Unless SIL is in on it, he had a man trying to open their door while he was in the house.

2) my husband is older than I am. If we had plans to meet at 430 and one of us didn’t show, it would raise alarm bells bc I always have my phone in my hand, and he knows if I am expecting him, he better have his phone glued to him as well. But he can go all day without even thinking about his phone. I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of “older” people are the same. They didnt grow up with technology the same way younger people did.

Idk just some thoughts. The husbands 911 call lacked urgency that I would expect from someone who walked into the house to find their spouse stabbed JMO

It seems like LE is going to remain silent until they have something significant to report. As another poster mentioned, LE isn't coming out asking the public for tips, highly unusual IMO unless they don't need them.

I hadn't heard she called 911 too. How did I miss that?

"The mystery behind who killed Melinda Pleskovic, 48, has left the community on edge, especially after hearing recent 911 calls to police, including one from the victim herself."

I believe they are referring to a call earlier in the yr made by the victim to 911 about break in . I don't believe the victim called 911 in regards to her own murder.

Listening to the husband's 911 call I got a chill -- I have a bad feeling that he may have something to do with this. Yes, there were previous reported calls and suspicious people lurking. Maybe he got the idea from that and when she "lost" her car keys they were not lost, he had them and used them to intimidate her into thinking she was being watched and it made a good excuse for another report to the police. Pre-meditated? JMHO.

“Her husband told police that the couple’s home had repeatedly been broken into this year — a claim police dispute, WOIO-TV reported. Police had no record of any break-ins at their home”.

So, the police say they have no record of any break-ins. Last April, someone(s) attempted to break into our home while we were inside asleep. I didn't realize it until I went to the side of the house to retrieve some gardening tools and saw a screwdriver sticking out of the top of our window screen. We then noticed that my husband's car had also been broken into. The FIRST thing I did was call 911. And I mean, immediately.

If there had been harassment at the Pleskovic home that had escalated to "repeated" break-ins, why on earth would there be no police reports?

I am wondering how much range the car alarm/remote start have. It looks like for at least some of the car manufacturer's component systems you would have to be in a fairly small radius of their home at 4:30 and 7 AM to do that.

Most only work for about 50 feet. I have tried many times to find my car in the mall parking lot, and the alarm never beeps until I get with about 50 feet of the car.

Agreed.
So... did the husband NOT call LE about the break-ins ?
And the only call(s) was the one made by Melinda ?

I remember a case on ID where the spouse went through elaborate efforts to make her spouse think they were being harassed. Come to find out she set it all up to murder him. Just saying.

The most famous case of this was the Wacker family-- also in Ohio.

This is most likely.

Regarding the repeated break-ins and missing police records - I think the confusion comes from the fact that technically there had been only one break-in - when the husband's laptop case was stolen from his car. There was no break-in to the house, only an attempted break-in. The other two incidents were people hanging out behind their house and keys going missing, no break-ins there either. So police correctly said there were no reports about a break-in at the house.

Still... attempted break-in to the house that wasn't reported? Not buying it.
