From what I understand - prisoners can received books ONLY from the publisher/distribution point - so there is NO tampering. They will not accept books from individuals.
At least that is how it is in California....

And

to WS & this case!
The only concern I have is that some books- a lot of books- on Amazon are sold by individuals. They can be shipped from Amazon warehouse where individual sellers send them. Or.... individuals can sell them through Amazon but ship from their homes. I sure hope they check those books

Ah - that is quite true! Forgot about that. Maybe just from the publisher of the books?
Okay - googling....

How do I send books to prison on Amazon?
Select 'Send a gift' option. Keep in mind, most facilities only allow inmates a certain number of books at a time (We recommend shipping no more than 3 at one time). Inmates must turn in old books to receive new ones. If for any reason the package is rejected, it will be shipped back at sender's' expense.

How do I send books to someone in jail?
Some important things to remember when sending books, magazines or newspapers to an inmate:
  1. Do not send more then 3 books at a time.
  2. All books must be new and soft cover (no hardcover or spiral bound)
  3. Always ship USPS.
  4. Use the inmate's name and ID number with the facility mailing address

Not sure what you mean. Can you explain more?
I think little Jake lied about the time he picked SW up from HR on the day of the murders. If I recall correctly he said "we must have missed it a few hours". I have often wondered if SW was with HR up to the time of the killings and that is when JW took her from the home. This is all just my speculation based upon JW interview and AW correction to his interview. MOO

Thanks for clarifying. I, too, think he lied about when SW was picked up before the murders and am hopeful that the exact date will come to light at some point.

I am also hopeful that the whereabouts of SW and GW4's son while the murders were taking place will be made public as well.

Some thoughts I have and it is all speculation, too. With AW's correction of April 12th as a drop off date, I wonder why HR would hand over SW to JW several days before she gave birth? Would she be so generous and trusting as to allow JW to have all this extra time with SW when HR and her family knew he could not be trusted - he was trying to get custody of SW. With AW's correction, it appears to me that SW would have never been returned to her mother. I don't know the details of the agreement they had, but it seems like this would have been a long time to let go of a child when you cannot trust the father. In addition, there were other family members of HR's who could have cared for SW when she was having the baby. HR had her mother, her dad, her brothers and she had HG, and IIRC, HG was a stay-at-home mom.

We do know that DR received a phone call and was upset when she left work the night of the murders. Did HR call her mother at work with upsetting news that JW showed up and just took SW a day early?

Maybe JW told the truth in the interview, but was not forthcoming about what really happened? He was like golly gee shucks, I reckon we just missed it by hours. And his mother probably slapped him upside the head and had to correct what he said because his statement put him at one of the murder scenes that night. Again, way too many details to keep everything straight and someone screwed up.

I know this has been discussed previously on this forum, but I've not followed everything, so I apologize in advance if this is redundant.

The 404 Rule that Jake and his attorneys are worried about is something more than spousal abuse, JMO

Good point - I just looked it up myself after seeing your post. Not sure if it is allowable to post what it says, but it appears it could include more if it meets specific requirements. JMO, given the amount of time his def. attorney spent on it during the hearing, they appear to be worried about it. All JMO.

Molly you have brought up a great point, I to do not think HR would have allowed JW to keep SW an extended amount of time due to trust and his and fights between their dads.

I found this section of Rule 404 interesting.

In this article you find
Angela's full hearing on video from Wednesday June 24, 2020 :

Wagner mother charged in Pike Co. massacre appears in court

Inmates can receive books from 3rd parties like new books from Amazon or from the publisher but not from individuals. A friend can order Angela a new book from Amazon but not send her a book themselves. At first Delaware County Jail was letting Angela receive her books - then like petty jail politics do - they stopped letting her have her books.

Judge Deering said his order to stop mail and phone calls was not meant to stop her receiving the books that friends or family have been ordering for her. Her attorneys will email something to the Court about it and Deering will fix the problem so she can get her backload of reading material.

This was the only "exciting" thing in the hearing other than for some reason she still refuses to wear her regular clothes, despite the fact that the 3 Wagner guys have been wearing their own clothes for the past 1 1/2 years.

The prosecution had no problem with the Attorney General's office not supplying prosecutors anymore. Junk said he has his team in place and they are ready to go.

Humm..Interesting motion filed by Billy's attorneys:

06/25/2020 MOTION NO. 59 DEFENDANT'S MOTION FOR AN ORDER REQUIRING THE PROSECUTION TO PROVIDE A TRANSCRIPT OF AUDIO RECORDINGS IT INTENDS TO INTRODUCE AT TRIAL FILED

So there are 2 types of audio recordings we know of now. Recordings from the confidential reliable source and now we find out there are 1000's of hours of recorded phone calls. All for the jury to listen to while reading the transcripts.

Usually tapes are played in court with juries reading transcripts at the same time.

I can only assume this motion covers both phone recordings and wiretap recordings. Wiretaps planted by BCI or worn by an informer - when the revenge conversations occurred at Fred's house. There were multiple conversations.

USING TRANSCRIPTS OF AUDIO RECORDINGS DURING TRIAL – The “Olkon” Cautionary Jury Instruction & Protecting Your Court Reporter (15-11)

GENERAL RULE: Transcripts of audio recordings to be played during trial may be provided to the jury to help the jury or judge understand what is being said in the recording.

This is what I think - no way. Do we also know, for a fact, that JW put together the baby crib? Or is that just coming from him? Unfortunately, I think anyone who could verify if this was true was murdered. JMO.

prosecutors wrote that a search warrant executed on one of the Wagner’s property revealed the existence of .22 caliber shell casings that matched .22 caliber shell casings found at two crime scenes on Union Hill Road where members of the Rhoden and Gilley families were shot to death as they slept in April 2016.

The filing notes the shell casings found at the Wagner property and at the crime scenes came from Remington rimfire .22 caliber ammunition and both sets of shell casings had matching “firing pin impressions.”

Wagner’s attorneys have also asked the judge for a hearing on the shoe print evidence prosecutors intend to introduce at trial. According to the motion opposing the hearing, prosecutors said shoe impressions found in dried blood at the two Union Hill Road crime scenes matched shoe prints from a size 10.5 and 11 Walmart Athletic Works shoe with velcro straps.

Prosecutors said BCI agents found a receipt from the Walmart in Waverly dated April 7, 2016, during a search of the Wagner property. April 7, 2016, was 15 days before the murders. Agents obtained surveillance photos from the purchase of the Athletic Works shoes from Walmart stores that included photos of Angela Wagner buying the shoes on April 7, 2016, at the same time noted on the receipt.

Just filed court documents reveal details about evidence in Rhoden case

yeah, they are pretty much done.

I agree, Berrybell. I had posted this same thing a few pages back.
