Yes. If GW4 had opted to take a plea deal, he would have gotten LWOP.

It was designed to be a family offer, so to speak. Everyone take a plea deal and get LWOP. In AW's case, she negotiated for less.

If GW4's attorneys had entered into plea negotiations back then, he could have negotiated for less or at max, LWOP. Once he goes to trial, he's at the mercy of the jury to determine guilt for the charges and Judge Deering to determine the sentence w/ max of DP.
That's not what I thought. I thought that as long as JW testifies to the satisfaction of the prosecution the DP for GWIV is off the table. It will be the same for BW if he decides to go to trial. So in essence, as part of JW's confessing/testifying deal, he gets to save his brother and father's lives. Like yoh said AW made her own deal

The problem is we have only tweets to get the info. I think some tweets gets mixed up. I know Chris Sr place was locked and it was said Jake tossed the keys in and locked the door. Then when they were found that morning BJM knew where a key was so she was able to get in..

So I think it's possible the tweet saying he locked Dana's door was confused with Chris Sr.

If we had his actual voice to hear what he's saying it would be easier, but we just have these tweets that have been mixed up.
When Jake says he threw the keys in and locked the door, I think he is talking about Chris Sr truck. When he dropped it back off, he threw the keys in and locked the door. MOO

BJM got the extra key that was hidden

I'm just so confused on what George sentence can be and whether the DP is off the table or note. Some say no matter George isn't getting DP since Jake testifying to satisfy the Prosecutor. Others, say since George didn't take a plea he is facing DP. It's all confusing.

This is incorrect. I posted the excerpts from GW4's court docket the other day. I guess I'll have to go back and find it again. This matter was brought up by GW4's attorneys in a hearing in Aug 2021. The judge's ruling is according to Ohio law:

  • Jake's plea agreement has provision for LWOP sentence if he testifies to the satisfaction of prosecutors
  • Jake's plea agreement also has a provision for LWOP for his co-conspirators if they also sign plea agreements
  • The plea agreement is under the jurisdiction of the Special Prosecutors
  • Sentencing for trials is controlled by Judge Deering
  • Special Prosecutors cannot determine sentences for defendants found guilty in court - only the judge can
Co-defendants negotiate plea agreement - Maximum sentence is LWOP - Prosecutors decide

Co-defendants go to trial - Maximim sentence on capital charges is DP - Judge decides

Each option has it's own jurisdiction - prosecutor - plea agreement Judge - trial, sentencing

The only evidence against George is Jake.

JMO
Jake confirms other evidence, i.e., the shoe prints, George's gun being used, George part of the murder truck buy, George being involved in the forged custody papers. The uncle could confirm George's presence at the truck buy if needed. and really does anyone doubt George helped modify the truck or engaged in shooting practice with the weapons?
