But can’t you be charged if you know something is going to happen and it does and you don’t report it. Jmo I was thinking I have seen people charged with this before.
Yes. If you hear someone threaten to kill the Attorney General of Ohio and you do not report what you heard immediately, that is a crime.

JMO

Thanks. We don't know if she knew about the murders, though. We only know, so far, that she was present when they were planning to take revenge by killing AG DeWine and Sheriff Reader, among others. Since they didn't have the chance to kill them, according to one of our WS attorney members, she couldn't be charged with anything. Does ORC cover that?
With all due respect to gitana, how do they arrest and charge someone who threatens to kill the president? Those people didn't have a chance to do it, obviously, but they still go to jail for it. They have people in federal prisons for that.

Here is some good reading on what are crimes against public elected officials.
"
(A) No person, purposely and by force or by unlawful threat of harm to any person or property, shall retaliate against a public servant, a party official, or an attorney or witness who was involved in a civil or criminal action or proceeding because the public servant, party official, attorney, or witness discharged the duties of the public servant, party official, attorney, or witness.

(B) No person, purposely and by force or by unlawful threat of harm to any person or property, shall retaliate against the victim of a crime because the victim filed or prosecuted criminal charges.

(C) Whoever violates this section is guilty of retaliation, a felony of the third degree.

Effective Date: 09-03-1996."

G3 is her only family member accused of this crime. Her other son, and her daughter, seem to have lead decent lives. She may not have even known about the purchases. Dudly produced an Amazon receipt of some sort. My friend has an account that was set to auto login. A grandchild got on the account and order just shy of $1k in items. No one noticed til said items started showing up at the house.

I'd not fault anyone from wearing them around a nasty horse, or hunting season. I've been bitten by a flighty mare, and my cousin actually lost a good chunk of meat, from a stud bite.

They were designing book bags with plates in them. Not sure how that took off.

Remember the parrot that ordered a lot of stuff through Alexa or something?

The thing about this is:
1.) The fact that it has not been proven those chickens were used to fight.
2.) It apparently has nothing to do with this case but keeps getting brought up over and over. Why?

Because apparently some people think the Wagners were compassionate people who might have slaughtered 8 humans because they took offense at them for raising roosters to fight.

But not me. If they had the ability to slaughter 8 people in their sleep I can only imagine (with a shudder) how they treated those animals.

Please explain how discussing revenge and threatening someone is different please. Thank you.
We are most likely going to have to agree to disagree on this issue; however, I will answer with this example.

I tell my buddy ‘if my wife divorces me I will seek revenge by smacking her’. That is speech.

I tell my wife ‘if you divorce me I will knock the **** out of you’ this is a threat. It is action, telling her, making her fearful, trying to modify her behavior with a proposed negative action.

Nazi Germany, N Korea, USSR punish people for speaking. England punished colonial Americans for talking about the king. Americans then revolted and said freedom of speech.

Don’t listen to me, listen to the state of Ohio. When prosecutors lay out charges, they file everything they think they could potentially argue successfully. Throw out everything and see what sticks, kinda. They did not ‘charge’ they mentioned it as a factor to encourage the judge to not grant bail, and/or to paint the defendants in a dangerous way.

Just remember, if it was law that you had to snitch on your friends everyone would be guilty of failing to report someone. This is the same concept as N Korea uses to punish an entire family, Kim robbed a store. Kim’s grandma didn’t report him, Kim’s children didn’t report him, heck Kim’s neighbors didn’t report him.... let’s jail everyone.

Again, if my argument doesn’t convince you then we are just going to have to agree to disagree. And that is fine, it is part of open and free speech.

This!!!!! Thank you Dudley.

Good afternoon everyone!Does anyone know when GW3 pretrial, & the remaining defendants next court appearances dates are? Sometime in March, I believe? TIA

Thanks, but JMO, this stuff really isn't relevant to the case, unless it had something to do with the murders.

Were the W's involved in cockfighting, perhaps? Was FR growing these roosters to sell to the Wagners? I suppose that's possible. I hadn't considered that.

Perhaps that's what they're using the church for on Flying W Farms when church isn't in session. Is that why FR wants to get a waiver from her "house arrest"? So she can attend the cockfighting games because she doesn't trust anyone else to handle the money?

Perhaps Fred Wagner's family was raising their own roosters and killed FR because they wanted to eliminate competition

If so, W's should be investigated for those crimes, too and arrested if there's evidence.

All JMO. I'm just continuing the speculation about how raising roosters might be related to the arrest of members of the W family murder of 8 people.
LOL @Betty P

Welcome Howcan! It may be that she didn't know that they were there. Just b/c you live in a home, doesn't mean you know everything that's in it. I have had my home searched. It's not a super great feeling. Very embarrassing, and demeaning, and I personally felt as if I should shower afterwards. My kids could have snuck something by me, and hidden it behind a dresser, or in a box under their bed. I only have two eyes, and so many hours in the day. Thankfully, my search ended up with nothing. I was pretty diligent though. Another friend was so oblivious, to the real world, that she had no idea why her adult son had bent spoons in his room, and was stealing all of her spoons. Some folks just can't put 2+2 together.
Why would someone have bent spoons in their room? Better yet, why would someone steal spoons from their mother?

The prosecution has some what of a difficult task ahead of them. I would imagine the grannies cases will move faster than the other 4. Since the prosecution is so big on the gag orders & overall silence, it will be hard for the public/media not to garner new info if the obstruction/perjury charges move forward first. JMO

I've wondered, by the way the indictments are written, if it was only two, who went that night. The indictments read, to me, that they don't know, exactly, who did what, where, or to whom.
Or maybe only two who went in the houses. They other two could have been a lookout and a driver. I seem to recall the receipt provided on here by someone only mentioned blood being taken from the passenger side and the back seat areas.

The point I tried to make, and apparently failed, is, those chickens apparently have nothing to do with the murders, so why are they brought up, over, and over? Are we going to discuss bed bugs again, too? Should the pig found in the one shed be discussed, too? I think we need to stick to discussing the case of the murders until chickens, bed bugs, or whatever are brought up in court or as evidence...
Come on Dudley, you know you want to talk about the bedbugs again. LOL

But if you tell your friend " I am going to take revenge on or kill the Prez" and he doesn't report it, that is a crime. There is a huge difference between your wife and an elected official like an Attorney General and a Sheriff. You cannot threaten to take revenge on a public official just because they are doing their job.

They may be holding those charges in reserve in case they cannot get a conviction on the other charges. IDK I just know if it is not a crime to threaten a public official why are there people sitting in federal prisons for it?

But for now...we will agree to disagree.

JMO

We do not know if the roosters were raised for cockfighting or not. The only ones who can tell us that are dead.

I read an article about game roosters that were raised and sold at flea markets and farmers markets. The people that bought them used their feathers in jewelry and hats and other articles they then sold. Apparently, but I am not sure in all cases, the rooster must be killed to get the feathers.

The Roster does not have anything to do with the murders so why do we want to keep talking about them, not trying to be mean but this is what the killers have been doing all alone to throw everyone off the subject of who, why, how and what exact time is the main thing also where the mothers in-law part of the crime JMO

See my post #345 for an explanation as to why I think they keep being brought up. Thank you.
