OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) - #25

Autopsy reports in Ohio are PUBLIC RECORD whether LE wants them to be or not. I applaud the dispatch for doing this, law is law.
I notice in the link they are also seeking court costs.
One thing I cannot find is WHEN is the next hearing on this? I cannot find it anywhere.

I am no means an attorney, but I have read this, and some a tad of research. My opinion, The Dispatch seems to have their ducks lined up, in other words it's my opinion by law the reports should be released based on the facts presented and particularly the testimony of Kessler.


While this IS the Rhoden case, I am looking at the bigger picture. LE, Attorney General, or no one else should be able to change laws to suit their wants. They have to follow the laws in place and enforce it.

In another Ohio murder case, news media has been allowed to view the autopsy report of Bryon Macron

WKYC3 sued Medina County to allow them to view the autopsy report of Byron Macron, a township trustee who disappeared under suspicious circumstances last December and was recently found dead in a nearby lake.

Hope this bodes well for allowing Columbus Dispatch and other media outlets to view the unredacted ARs for the Rhoden killings.

Thanks for finding this! There was a coroner testified, I believe it's in the PDF file, that she had never withheld an autopsy report since she started working there in '06, because they are indeed public record. Please note, I believe it was a female coroner, and I believe it was '06. Don't quote me there. I have read this until my eyes are crossed and my head literally aches. LOL! I believe that is what was said however.

Websleuth even more delightful to follow than before..A few observations I
have made so far might stir the pot to where the minds of delightful people
will get a renewed outlook about this slaughter.. At the beginning of
my investigation of this crime, I hardly glanced at all the details that were
unrolling before I named the guilty perpetrator...That said, In my opinion
the crime had to have three fine lines of detail, that is, motive,opportunity,
and means. This individual that I recognized had all three traits, except I
could not figure out the motive..After reading details for about a year,,I
have settled on three possible motives. .The search for the first possible
motive led me to a baby who is almost at a stage where that baby is
able to walk...Now for the sticker, someone find out if they have ever
Identified the fathers of all the children....For instance, have they declared
The name of HR's latest child's father. If they have,then we can move on
to the second phase of describing motives..

As far as I know (If I am wrong someone correct me), I have not heard anyone say for sure who fathered HRs baby. Anniversary date of tragedy coming up, hoping for an update.
I will say this Ray, this is a VERY interesting avenue indeed. It's one of my top personal theories for "why"...

He's saying pretty much the same things he said 10 months ago. Not encouraged by some of his language/messaging about taking years to solve and the case going cold. He says it's "hot", but there doesn't appear to be much going on, other than fighting the news media in court over the ARs.

Maybe it's just me, but I've never perceived any strong motivation from BCI or DeWine to solve this case. Reader occasionally talks like he wants to kick someone's arse, but none of the investigators has expressed much in the way of genuine sympathy for the family and friends, nor any burning desire to bring justice.

Reader has 1 deputy assigned full time to the case. BCI has one guy in the area working on it, but the press conferences have all but disappeared.

Motives for family killings can be very simple. In the case below, this guy killed three relatives. He was living with his brother. After his brothers death, his sister-in-law told him to leave. He had nowhere to go , he was very upset

I had similar thoughts to Ray's months ago. The only 2 children left in hiding are Gilley children. The youngest's father is connected on social media to a guy who has been in custody for so much long long time for a minor charge. The guy in custody is connected to another guy who has been in custody for a long long time for something minor. Makes you wonder. If that's the case the police already know and that's why the other kids have been returned, but not those 2 (assuming they haven't been returned). If it's not related to the other parent or their family, I think it's not known at all and then it's drug related. No one knows!

As an additional idea dealing with motive, I am going to get down to some
explanations that sounds minute but in criminal activity,little thing mean
a lot sometimes. Just think how careers can be destroyed as well as a solid
family broken up by the birth of a baby, in special cases.In this case, that
baby was born something like four days before the mother was killed.
Take a trip back nine months to just guess a conception date, and that
puts the time line at about August,2015..why does that make a difference?
Because we can determine where my poi was at that date. If a suspect
father was in prison in August ,,2015, that elimates that individual..
While I am listing some ideas, take this idea for your consideration, What
happens to a killer who loves children...He is going to locate that child
and pester the foster care organization to let him make continual visits..
If the foster care organization Denys him the opportunity,he will find a way.
Now, that child is going to make people very suspicious if it grows up
looking like him...
