Yes, and was that what Len was referring to in the video a few days after the murders about "custody and that time when police were out here a couple weeks ago"? That was the first thing I thought of.

No, I don't blame him either. I'd be hotter than a two dollar pistol! I gotta say, I laughed out loud when he said that "LE couldn't catch a cold". :laughing:
 
One statement that Len made brings into the validity of the search warrant. The search warrant, from my understand, is that the truck could have been used in a murder. Len stated that he didn't even own the truck when the family was killed. Here is the correct wording;

The warrant, signed by Pike County Common Pleas Judge Timothy S. Hogan, indicated authorities believe the truck was “used as a means of the commission of the crime’’ of aggravated murder. Or it was in the possession of another person with the intent to use the vehicle as a means of committing the crime, the warrant stated.

From what I undstand he removed the device because they thought someone other than LE had put it on there.

And once the prosecutors and LE get JM's case behind closed doors in a grand jury, will JW be one of the people they call to testify? Is that one of the reasons they want a GJ, to protect the more well to do family(s) in the area who might know something about the Rhoden murders?
 
OK so JW used to take the baby to LM's house but quit. I assume at the time, JW and JM had "some sort of a friendship".
LM seems to be a very sweet man, and heavens he has been through so very much.
He loves his son and cannot see the forest for the trees.
I think some of us as parents know that SOMETIMES our kids do things that we would not in a million years believe they did.
Look at the Laci Peterson case for example, Scott had everyone in her family fooled for awhile.
BCI does not play, they know a whole bunch more than we do. I'm just saying we don't know what, if anything occurred here but destroying that GPS and more damning that late night text..... it just don't look real good to me.
This is only my thoughts folks.
 
I think that LE have a very good reason they are "sweating" the Manley's. I'm sorry but I get a very bad vibe from that family and have since day one. If they keep reviewing them (poly's) they must think their holding out about something.
For someone that is so upset by this, why is LM constantly in the "spot light"? Me personally, I think someone is a lot smarter than they appear to be. If he's trying to protect his family, why does he keep making statements that (sound to me) like their more involved with this. These families lived close to each other and appear to have been up in each other's business all the time. And now he says that AM was talking to DR that night. They either know who or were part of it IMO. And how did this dirt poor family come up with the first 4000.00 let alone the other 4000.00 in 1 day?

Don't have a link but it was H bby H ard. Does that help? Don't want to get in trouble with TOS, but this murder goes back about 3, 4 years and happened in Pike Co.

I see what you are saying. WHY THOUGH would they put it on this long after murders occured? If he did not not own the truck I can't understand this.

It has been claimed, but I am not sure it was proven, that the late night text, was sent at 9pm from JM, and JW did not see it until 2am.

I was wondering if possibly one of the big media outlets may have offered to give the money for an on camera exclusive.

The cash came into hand quick somehow from the time he stated they have half the bond until this evening.

This is what I meant a few posts back about whoever did this used all of the recent problems the Rhoden's were going through to throw off LE in this murder investigation. I mean just look at all we've found out and how many people had problems with all the members of the family. Pretty smart move, I would say. Now who would be that smart is the question?
 
I think that it is far more incriminating that the Ws sold out fast and took off for Alaska, (if they even did), than anything that seems to incriminate JM.

Of course, I don't know what LE knows.

I wondered about that, too. But there's a big age gap between JM, who is 40 and JW who is in his early 20's. Not sure they would have much in common and JW seemed to have a lot of other young guys his age who he socializes with. JM has a job with long hours, a wife and a son who is almost JW's age.

And, yeah, I still have a really difficult time believing JM and BJM are some kind of ninja mass murderers who were able to kill 8 people and stump every LE agency from PCSO to Homeland Security for over a year. They're low income people without a lot of resources and nowhere to learn or practice that level of mass murder expertise.

:confused: I don't think it would be a violation of TOS to mention another cold case in the Piketon area.
