Yes, current tax bills sent to Brady. Pre-murders tax bills were sent to CRsr.

I thought so. All that property used to be in all 4 brothers names, now I only see Brady's. I didn't see any in Tony's, but I remember in some article that he said he was paying taxes, payments on Dana's place.
And the Pike Co site has been down for about a week. How long does it take to update a website? I think somethings up.

Anyone have any idea why the Pike Co Inmate list has been down for a couple of days now?

It may just be the lines. I've tried to call one up in the hills for a week and their phone is offline. Very frustrating as I need to mail an approved medical item, and need to know how to package it so they won't freak out and throw it away. Any time there are updates or a bird lands on a line, further into the hills, the lines screw up, VINE goes down, and cell phone is sketchy, at best, anytime.

OK 8 am and pike immate site is still down. Could someone tell me who is excecutor of CRsr's property? I thought it was Tony R and as far as I know probate hasn't gone through on the properties? I've been going through the properties that all 4 brothers owned and it comes to about 66.10 acres. When I looked through them last night I noticed that Brady Rhoden's name and address is listed. Is that were property taxes are sent to? Has his name always been there? I can't remember.

Brady is new.

Oh my gosh! 5 KILOS of fentanyl with a 2-year-old baby in the same apartment!!!!!

He has tats on his neck. I know nothing about gang tattoos, but does anyone here think the tattoos are gang-related or just regular tattoos?

I can't tell but from what I could see they looked like average, jailhouse tatts. The word of the day is Hepatitis, children.

Hope everyone has a blessed 2018.

Just wanted to check in. Thinking of these folks as we head into 2018, and fast approaching the second anniversary of their murders. I refuse to give up hope. Maybe someone, can find a way to safely come forward, to someone. I understand why they'd be afraid though. These are folks who killed teens, one of whom was barely 16. Ruthless, and in need of caging, whoever they are.

Brady is new.

I inherited family property jointly with my siblings. Though all of our names are listed on the deed, the tax bill goes to my sister and we pay our share to her. So this may not necessarily indicate BR is the only owner of the property. It's just simpler for the county if there's only one person on the tax bill. Especially so in a rural county where there may not be a lot of staff in the county treasurer's office.

Same wish to you rsd1200! We're all hoping for some resolution to this terrible crime, hopefully soon. Wishing comfort and peace to the surviving family and friends of the Rhodens & HG.

:newyear: :grouphug:

I agree, anyone who knows anything could be afraid to come forward for fear of retaliation. Same for local LE. A small town sheriff and deputies may not have enough protection against professional killers. They may not have realized this early on, but I'm guessing they suspect it now. JMO

That's the way it's done on some family property here too. My Father has always taken care of everything, but the other siblings are also on the deed.

I've been listening, out on the www, and it seems that family who will broach the subject, have zero clue as to why this was done. Most of those have been from DR's branch. They don't speak often but when they do, they seem genuinely clueless. Of course it's the www and I can't see their eyes, body language, or hear their voices.

BettyP, every time you, or any OP, says "professionals", it brings me back to mind of the Stykes murder in Brown County, OH. Someone told who'd killed her, for money, and that he'd killed before. The gf said she was with him when he killed the Stykes girl. Iirc, he was out and about when these murders occurred. He is from Ky. He isn't what I'd call a pro, as in what we see in the movies, but from the charges, it appeared that he was a paid "hit-man". I've linked it before, and here is an article about the grand jury, (but they didn't feel they had what they needed to indict, at the time, from what I've understood from kinda keeping track), but it just keeps nagging at me. Might not be this fella, but someone, with some cash, could'a hired some lone wolf, like him. A business partner, or someone who wanted no one left alive to tell a secret. Only infants wouldn't be able to tell a secret. I still go back to all of them having BBL in common, and, fwiw, it's right off the 23 drag, easy access. Also, the owner, and his gf were expecting a child of their own..., no infants harmed. If the courts thought that JW had anything at all to do with this, I think they'd have tried to prevent S from living with JW. I feel that they'd have come out, and at least named him as a suspect, for S's sake.

Thanks for the link! Another tragic case. I think a lot of us here feel it might have been someone paid by another party to execute the Rhodens and possibly other victims of unsolved murders in the area.

At some point after Lopez was contracted to murder Brittany Stykes, he allegedly traveled with his ex-girlfriend to Brown County on Aug 28, 2013, and ambushed Stykes by using flashing blue lights to impersonate a police officer conducting a traffic stop on her.

She was traveling home in her Jeep along US-68 for her father’s birthday when Stykes would first meet Lopez, according to the ex-girlfriend.

The ex-girlfriend said Lopez exited his vehicle and shot Stykes several times after she pulled over.

BBM. I'll have to go back and look, but there was another recent story of someone near Pike County finding a man on his property who was impersonating a police officer. There are people out there doing hits for hire, some probably more professional than others, but all having prior experience. Wonder if they work in teams?

I remember that story and looked this guy up to see if he was still in jail at the time. I can't remember my findings. What easier way to get into a home, or have someone stop? I know folks think I'm hard on cops but really, they should stick with one automobile brand for their trucks and cars, with a clear paint job, and siren type. In the old days you knew what a cop car looked like. They can look like anything today, (and some are starting to look like war machines but that's another discussion). To this day, if I see an old, now civilian-owned, white, Crown Vic, on the road, I automatically check my speedometer.

If locals are not sure, or if they even think LE might have been involved, they are not going to tell LE what they know for fear of being silenced permanently. A new investigation excluding all Ohio LE and agents needs to be done.

The number of unsolved murders in Ohio is not good. There are some as old as 50 years unsolved. I wonder how Ohio compares with other states in unsolved murders.

The Murder Accountability Project (MAP) has some good data for all states, including Ohio.

http://www.murderdata.org/p/blog-page.html

Ohio used to clear murders fairly well, but in the last couple of decades, the clearance rate has declined.

Back in the 1960's and 70's, 75% of murders were cleared in OH, but beginning around 2000, the clearance rate dropped precipitously to around 48%. In the last 5 yrs, it's down to 45.6%.

You can click on the sliding button under "Year" to see the changes.

I completely agree.

Thanks for that table, BettyP!

It seems to be a trend. Even with the U. S. adding all of their surveillance, and tech stuff, seems they can't quite get a handle on things, like they did in the olden days.

From 1965 to 1970 there were 69,335 homicides with 80.67% solved, nationwide (about .04% of the population based on 1965 U.S. population.)

From 2011 to 2016 there were 89,884 homicides with 58.30% solved, nationwide. (about .03% of the population based on 2011, U.S. population)

Ky had
1,483 homicides, from 1965 to 1970 with an 85% solve rate.
1,162 homicides, from 2011 to 2016 with a 68.6% solve rate.

(Murders went down but so did solve rates.)

I read an article some time ago, and I've wondered if this could be the thinking behind many LE departments, and if so, could it explain some of the JJs we have running around out here? Just something I've thought about over time.

Jordan, a 49-year-old college graduate, took the exam in 1996 and scored 33 points, the equivalent of an IQ of 125. But New London police interviewed only candidates who scored 20 to 27, on the theory that those who scored too high could get bored with police work and leave soon after undergoing costly training.
