Same, when I skipped out, it nearly took an act of Congress to get me into a church. My mother had at least an hour set aside for prayer, and then there was the studying, etc... I'm well versed in "Bible". I don't mean that in a sarcastic tone either. After I left, I went on the big dates to make my mother happy. That was it. I don't even do that now. Although we were permitted to go out with friends, listen to mainstream music, wear clothes that other kids did, cut our hair, etc... I did not realize that everyone else's family wasn't like mine. I'd go to friends' homes and most didn't say grace! O.O I was quite amazed. We say grace over a snack, in my parent's home. I don't care if it's a cookie, or a whole chocolate pie. I will say that I am a believer in a higher power, and of the red letters, however, for the most part, I think we are left to our own devices, down here, or, some prayers never reach the sky.
